Inferno stepped back, gulping. This owl clearly as ready to fight.


"Ummm.." A shiver ran down his spine, as he was clueless on what he should do.

He finally decided that there wasn't many options, so he hunched over, opening his wings in a defensive position, ready for anything.

Or at least, he thought he was ready.

The owl expels a grim chuckle, definitely mocking Inferno's naivety, as he slowly begins to make his way towards the phoenix, expecting an easy kill.

Though, would it really be that way?

"What a waste, it'll be a shame to end such a creature like you, with so little difficulty."

He mocks, closing in on Inferno, ready to dig his blades deep on his chest.

Inferno chuckled nervously. "Hehe, yeah, it sure would be a shame, so maybe you should just leave me alone?"

He asked hopefully, cocking his head, as he slowly stepped back. There's no way you can fight this guy! He'll kill you.

He blinked, knowing the option was either to fight back, or be destroyed.

He decided to try the option one. Jumping forward a little, he let out a screech, as his flames flared and licked his opponent's feathers.

(Totally feel free to injure him. I won't consider it as power playing or anything)

The owl lets his helmet take most of the damage, growling as the area around his neck and chest are burnt.

He hisses at Inferno, fluttering over to him and swinging his battle claws at him, a blade reaching his side, and dragging itself under his wing, drawing blood in the process, before the owl puts distance between himself and Inferno.

Inferno let out a painful squawk, as the blade dug into his wing.

He straightened up, glaring at the owl, before charging straight towards his opponent, taking off right before he ran into the owl, and flew over him. Then looping around as fast as he could with his injured wing, heading towards the owl's back, with his talons open. Though they weren't much compared to the owl's armor.

Inferno's opponent grins wide, as he sees the phoenix's maneuver.

'Right into my trap'

As he gets in range, the owl parries Inferno's claws with his large blades, sending the mythical bird to the ground, back first.

Before he can stand up, he places his battle claw at Inferno's very neck.

"Last words?"

Though, before he can do anything, the owl's whole body shivers, before he falls off to the side, Hoolemere right behind him with a bloody battle claw raised.

The fight was apparently over, the guardians being victorious.

Inferno shivered. "N-now wait, I-" He stuttered. But before he could say more, the owl fell over, and he saw Hoolmere.

Weakly standing up, the male Phoenix studied his surroundings, looking anxiously for Cinder.

She was nowhere to be seen, though, Hoolemere gets his attention, as he asks Inferno.

"Are you alright?"

The monarch asks, looking over at him, a serious look on his face.

Inferno turned to meet the monarch's eyes. "N-no sir. I don't see C-Cinder anywhere." He replied, panic in his voice.

"Where did she go." He murmured quietly, suddenly remembering to bow, and did so quickly.

"Your friend's over there."

He points to a separate hall, as the monarch flutters away.
