She nodded. "Alright....well make yourself at home." She turned to go but stopped and turned to him. "By the way I approve. You are good for her. Way better than her other choices in the past." Amber said, referring to Shannon. After her comment she left, heading to the shop.

I watched her leave. I looked down at the ground for a second. I hadn't been in a relationship for a while. The only other person that knows why is Jared though. While I deployed my past came back looking for me and killed my girlfriend. When I got back I found out and tracked down every single person I could and killed them. Amber doesn't know what I've done if she did I probably wouldn't be here. I bent down and finished the putty. I walked outside to my truck and grabbed a cigarette and a lighter. I sat down on her porch and started to smoke.

Shannon
Shannon came outside after finally changing. She wore a yellow summer dress as it was a nice day out. She didn't wear dresses often but hadn't done laundry and her jeans were dirty. Shannon spotted Chris on the porch, and debated sneaking out the back but instead she went outside. Once outside she leaned on the door frame and looked at him. "Thank you."

I turned around and looked at her. I said "it's no problem...ya wanna go eat? IHOP or dennys or somethin?"

Shannon smiled. "Thanks for the offer but I'm actually heading out right away. I need to meet with someone." She said lightly.

I looked at her closely. I said "I don't like the sound of that."

She shrugged. "It's just an old friend, nothing to worry about. Why don't we meet for lunch instead?"

I smiled a bit and said "sounds good...where do ya wanna go?"

Shannon
"Take your pick. Lunch is on me, just text me the address." She smiled at him. He was beginning to grown on her and in a good way. He made her want to be a better person and she would solve her problems before she let him know how she really felt.

I smiled widely and said "I will." she's not bad and she might have some sort of a similar past so she knows how to deal with things...I just don't wanna get her mixed into everything. I got up and threw my cigarette on the ground putting it out all the way with my foot.

Jared
I woke up and looked at the empty spot on the bed. I looked at the other side of me where banjo and Duke lay next to each other. I got up and quickly got dressed and went downstairs.
