"Up this is it. Once we get in the gates we will head right." She took off her helmet for a moment and hit the buzzer. A womans voice came over the intercom. "Hello! Are you here for the party?" The woman said. "Hi Daisy, it's Amber. We are here." The gate then opened. Amber slid her helmet back on.

Jared
I sped up and drove up the driveway. I stopped and kicked up the kickstand. I put my sunglasses on top of my head and looked at the house.

Amber
The house was huge, definitely intimidating. It looked like a hotel on the outside. Cars were parked around the house, guests had already arrived. Amber got off the bike and took her helmet off. "This is where I grew up. It's pretty big but it has its secret hiding spots." She smiled. "I would always hide in the library or stables when dad had people over."

Jared
I smiled a bit and said "your dad has horses?" I looked over toward the stables. "I used to ride them when I worked for a wildlife refuge center. When I had volunteered there I befriended a black panth we had named Bagheera...ya know after the jungle bff me book, he was born with out an ear or an eye on our center so we couldn't release him cause he didn't know how to hunt for himself and his mother rejected him."

Amber smiled, leading him towards the house as they spoke. "We grew up with 6 horses. I still have 2 here. We loved it. Well everyone but my sister. She grew out of it. There is something about being on a horse that is just calming. I wanted to help animals when I grew up. What was it like?" She looked over at him.

I looked at her and followed I smiled and said "well none of an ever hurt me, and Bagheer a actually escaped his own plenty of times and tried to get into my truck to come home with me." I chuckled and shook my head a bit remembering him.

She smiled. "It's all about the connection. He must have really loved you." She got to the door and opened it, you could hear music inside and lots of chattering.

I looked around and immediately felt uncomfortable. I sighed a little and walked inside. I looked at Maddie.

She followed him in, closing the door behind her. They were greeted by a few people before her father walked up. "Welcome to my home." He looked at Jared then Amber. "I called you. I wanted to let you know Frank is here. " Amber tensed up a bit, but her voice was steady. "That's fine. I think we will go grab a drink, see who is all here."

I noticed Amber tense up when a guy named Frank was mentioned. I looked back at her father and said "hello sir, nice to see you again." I did a little salute which I was trained to do in uniform or a handshake if necessary.
