Brooke shrugged and sat beside him.
"Why are you so nice to me? I'm supposed to hate you. But I don't." Brooke said with a half grin. She still despised her new step-mother, but at least her spawn wasn't too terrible. Her eyes lit up.
"Oh! My friend is coming over later. Just so you don't get scared when a stranger knocks on our door. I know you're probably jumpy?" Brooke teased with a grin.

Bailee smiled.
"I'll let you change. I'll be right back!" Bailee said, running off to her own sky blue room to change into her pajamas. She stood outside of Bailey's room, not wanting to walk in as he was changing.

mason listened to brooke and smiled with a light shrug. "hating isn't going to get us anywhere. why
not be nice?" he replied simply before tilting his head at her words, laughing and shaking his head.
"alright, cool. i'll tell river to be nice." he joked with a smirk, knowing that brooke already knew nice
wasn't in river's vocabulary. though the male would be home soon, and mason was eager to know how the
fight went.

bailey nodded and shut the door after her before changing into sweatpants and a simple loose t-shirt.
he opened his door after so when bailee was done she could come in, but then smiled at the girl as
he saw her. "hey."

Brooke burst out laughing as he said he would tell River to be nice.
"Sure, River's cute. Not nice. Wait-did I just say that? Crap." Brooke blushed and stood, brushing off her pants. She smiled and ran downstairs to the couch, eagerly awaiting Braylyn to arrive.

Bailee smiled at him.
"Heya, kid!" She said, walking leisurely in. She plopped back into her spot she had just left.
"Can we play a fighting game? I'm best at those." Bailee said. She remembered Brooke boxing and how she enjoyed watching it. She only smiled at the thought.

mason's brows raised and an evil grin overtook his face, quickly following the girl downstairs. "oooh,
does someone have a crush on my best friend?" he teased with a snicker, checking the time. "who should
be home any minute. when's your friend get here? i'll try to control his mouth. they need to make those
dog muzzles for humans." he joked.

bailey tilted his head. "you're the kid here. i'm four years older." he corrected before listening to her
question and shrugging. "uh, sure."

Brooke blushed and punched him a bit harder this time.
"I'd put a muzzle on you right now if I could." Brooke said with a grin. She wanted to get the topic off of River. Maybe he would forget she even said anything. Then the doorbell rang... and Brooke hoped it wasn't River.

Bailee smiled.
"Fine, fine. Older kid. Better?" Bailee asked with a grin. She stood at about his mid-chest. She had to look up to speak to him. She pushed her hair behind her head and grabbed the controller, eager to show off her real skill.

mason laughed as she just punched him again, raising his hands in mock surrender and tilting his head as
the doorbell rang. "yeah that's not river, he'd just barge in." mason chuckled before opening the
door for brooke's friend.

bailey just chuckled a bit at her words, getting the game up before falling into his seat and yawning slightly.
"you've played this before, right?" he questioned with a tilt of his head, looking to the younger girl.

Braylyn smiled as a guy answered the door. She waved, her blue eyes shining.
"Hey. I'm Braylyn." She said sweetly. She walked past him and over to Brooke. Brooke jumped up and embraced her into a giant bear hug.
"Bray! I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" Brooke exclaimed happily. The girls had met through boxing, and they were great competitors. Brooke winked at Mason with a If you tell River, we'll kill you look.

Bailee smiled as the game started.
"You'll see." She quickly used every cheat code she had learned. She did many power ups and kept repeatedly kicking the other avatar. She smiled and bit her lip in concentration.

mason looked to the pretty girl and gave a kind smile. "mason." he responded, about to shut the door when he
saw and heard a familiar motorcycle. just leaning against the doorframe and waiting for river to come up. mason
laughed and shook his head in amusement as river saw him waiting and just called out. "honey, i'm home!"

bailey nodded, about to play until he saw bailee's moves, his jaw dropping slightly. "woah." he spoke, knowing
the cheat codes but not expecting her to as it took him a few tries to crack them and she was here playing like
a little pro. "nice job!"

Brooke heard the purr of River's motorcycle and felt her cheeks turn a little red. She glanced at Braylyn.
"That'd be River." Brooke said with a laugh. Braylyn nodded and walked over to the two boys. She winked at Mason and then studied River whilst biting her lip. Brooke walked over and stood about a foot away from where River would enter.

Bailee grinned.
"Thanks. It's my favorite game." Bailee said, continuing to pummel Bailey, matching his skill level rather well.

mason snickered and winked at brooke as river entered, scanning his friend for injuries but only finding
the ones on his knuckles. "how'd it go?" he questioned whilst river gave his charming grin, making mason
narrow his eyes. "may or may have gotten banned for a week." he spoke whilst mason grunted, shaking his
head.

bailey laughed. "i could tell!" he spoke happily, fingers tapping rapidly against the buttons as he sparred
with the young girl, a grin spread across his lips.
