she clung to him tightly. all she had seen before he had closed her eyes was a vampire trapping a human in it's arms. her sight had been cut off as the vampire began leaning torward the poor humans neck. it had been enough to give her a slight idea of what was probably happening, so she clung tightly and fearfully to him.

he took his eyes of his beloved for one moment, in order to bare his fangs at the other vampire. in most cases, baring of the fangs were used to declare a fight, but as he didn't flash his eyes along with baring his fangs, it was more or less a warning.
