Slightly confused by her reaction, he raised a brow. Chase looked back at the computer screen, nodding slightly. "Maybe. But maybe not." He said. "Although, it could buy us time to save them all, right?" He added, slightly unsure about the whole scenario. "If someone wants someone to be killed so badly.. They might turn to the public and ask them. So technically death can't be stopped with certain criminals that are quiteeee popular." He further continued, glancing over at Alice for a reply. "I hope this whole thing will go to plan.."

"Me and you both. But the fact that most popular criminals hide their track, or they usually do, is harder for the public. And with their files missing, its even harder to track them. Unlike a few who decides to make a game out of it, and let the cops try and figure out this little game of theirs.." She murmured, as she went thought all the recent added files, and mumbling under her breath. She heard something out in the hallway, sound of keys, and soft footsteps. "Chase,.." She spoke softly all the sudden. Her breath stuck in her throat.

Chase listened to her carefully, eyes locked onto the screen before being interrupted by the steps and Alice's concern. He looked up, acting quickly. He grabbed Alice and took his gun out. "Is.. There anywhere we could hide?' He whispered, kicking the button at the computer softly which switched the computer off. His eyes danced around the room. "Hide.." He repeated, but this time he was just mumbling to himself. "If we get caught for breaking in.. We could be sent to jail too.. That doesn't help anyone." Chase added under his breath. His patience was slowly reaching zero, however, he hid it pretty well. Unsure about what to do next, he decided a dagger would be a good way to get rid of the enemy without creating any noise. "I'll just get over to that door quietly and get them from behind."

Alice watched as Chase seem to lose it. She glanced around the room, and tugged on him. "Hide under the desk for now, It might just be some other workers. They tend to stop by here," She spoke quietly. Alice pulled his hand once more, starting to get more worried. "Please.." She murmured, as she pushed him towards the desk, and told him to hurry and be silent. She headed towards the door, and stepped out of the office, silently. She glanced down the hallway, and gave a small smile to hide the fact she has a criminal in her office.

Chase peaked up from the desk, hissing quietly. "Don't do that! You might get caught and lord knows what will happen to you!" He said lowly, glancing from side to side before turning his attention back to Alice, giving her a concerned glare. He wasn't expecting her to hide. It was her office after all. It just bothered him. Maybe she could be hurt? Hit? Killed?! Chase let out another quiet growl. "I need to see what's going on at least.."

Alice glanced at her desk for a moment, when she heard Chase hiss at her and she made a hand movement behind her back, telling him to shut up. She looked at the person, noticing it was her 'friend'. She moved away from the office door, towards him. "Hi." she said, trying to seem normal.

The male glanced over his shoulder, only to see Alice. At first he didn't know what to say. "Hey." He said casually. "I've not seen you in a while." He further continued. "What have you been up to?"

Chase huffed quietly, rolling his eyes and crouched back under the table.
I'm pretty sure I'm capable of protecting myself. And here I am, sitting under a desk.
He let out a sigh, and poked his head out from the side of the desk, making sure no one would see him.

Alice gave a slight nod. It has been a while. "Indeed. What are you doing here at the office as such time of night? Shouldn't you be with the kids?" She asked, as she moved a hand over her skirt, smoothing it a bit. In the back, there really some torn prices hanging of of t, and the front is not badly damaged, just tiny holes, barely see able. She looked back up at him, giving another smile. She sort of missed him, yet in the end, she doesn't. Someone else already patched the hole he created. "Are you stressed out? I'd Jason get sick again?" She spoke, knowing that the kids were like her own, yet they weren't for the male friend of hers was with a partner long before Alice met him. It was silly, considering that the male partner and her was only two years apart, and he already has two kids. She was not told if they were adopted or if they did it at the age of sixteen. "I hope not, he such a sweet one, i dont want him not be able to hang out with his friends."

"What am I doing here?" He thought for a moment. He'd actually forgotten the reason why he came back here after his morning shift. "Oooh. Now I remember." The male muttered. "I was supposed to pick something up. It's just some paperwork though, so it's not exactly important." He replied. "Oh, Jason?" He added, taking a moment of thought before letting out a soft sigh. "He's always catching something, be it the cold or the flu, but still manages to get some time with his friends every so often." He said in a casual tone, glancing down at the bottom of the corridor as if he wanted to just leave, but switched his attention back at Alice. "I've talked enough about myself, so how about you? How've you been?"

Chase tapped the floor quietly, laying a head on his hand. The conversation between Alice and the stranger didn't really concern him at all. He was mostly interested about when the person decides to leave.

Alice gave a slight shrug. "Ah, just been working on a project that the mayor wants done. Which reminds me.." She mumbled the last part, looking at her watch. "It's best if I get back to work if I want to be out by midnight. I still haven't ate, nor did I feed my dog." She said, lying that she has a dog. She gave a small wave, saying a good by and slipped back into her office, closing the door. Once the door clicked, she quietly locked it and let out a sigh. "Chase?" She asked queitly.
