Levi just continued to shuffle around the kitchen, throwing some breakfast together as his thoughts spun. He wanted to be there for her, and he was concerned with her going to that part of town by herself, but he also didn't want to get in the way if she wanted privacy with Nick. He set the plates of food on the table and motioned for Raina to sit, then finally spoke. "I won't go if you really don't want me to." He said, forcing himself to meet her gaze. "But I want you to be safe."

Raina just watched with a soft smile on her face as Levi moved around the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the two of them. What had she ever done to deserve him? She hesitantly approached the table and sat as he motioned for her to do so. She met his gaze and took a deep breath, reaching across the table to lay a hand on his. "Thank you. I promise I'll be safe. I grew up here, remember? I know those streets like I know my own heartbeat, like I know the shape of your fingers." She rubbed her thumb over the back of her hand. "I'll be alright."

Levi nodded, still a little hesitant about it. "Just- call me if you need anything, okay?" He said, turning his hand over to hold hers. "Anything." He murmured a little softer.

Raina smiled gently, interlocking their fingers as Levi took her hand. "I will." She reached across the table and brushed a loose strand of hair out of his eyes. She offered her pinky for a pinky promise. "I promise." She just looked at him for another inure before pulling away. "Now, food." She muttered, shoving a forkful in her mouth.

Levi smiled and reached out, hooking his pinky around Raina's. He released it and then turned his attention to his good, though he glanced up at her a few times to smile a little to himself. Maybe while she was gone he could get to work on some proposal ideas.

Raina smiled a little as Levi pinky promised with her. She felt his gaze on her a few times during while they ate, and she couldn't help but return a slight, soft, smile each time. She ate pretty quickly and then stood. She bit her lip. Why was she suddenly so distracted? "I'm gonna go get dressed." She informed him, setting her dishes in the sink and pressing a kiss to the top of his head before heading for the door.

Levi looked up as Raina stood, then glanced down at his own plate. He was only about halfway done. "Okay." He said, wondering if she just wanted to get this done. He couldn't blame her. He finished his own food, placed his plate in the sink, then went into the living room, grabbing his laptop and setting it on his lap, staring at the screen for a while. He shook himself awake and pulled up google, typing in 'proposal ideas' in the search engine. He started scrolling through articles, liking a few ideas but not really finding anything that he really loved.

Raina took several deep breaths, trying to wind herself down as she walked into the bedroom. She got changed into real clothes, opting for jeans and her open flannel, for comfort's sake. She pulled on her shoes and headed back out to the living room. She stopped in the doorway and hesitated a moment. She almost wanted Levi to come with her now, for extra support. "I'm gonna take off now, okay?" She bit her lip. "I'll text you when I'm on my way back?""

Levi looked up as Raina entered the room, snapping his laptop shut. He nodded and motioned for her to come over so that he could kiss her goodbye. "Please be safe." He said, tempted to just go with her anyway.

Raina raised a brow slightly as Levi shut his laptop the second she walked in. She wondered what he was looking at. Probably wedding or proposal stuff. She smiled softly and walked over to him. She bent over and pecked a kiss to his lips. "I will be." She pulled back and offered him a little smile as a thin blanket of nervousness settled in her gut for some reason. She shook the thought away, it was just because she hadn't visited in so long.
