Levi stood in silence, until Raina spoke again. "No problem." He said, shaking his head. He shoved his hands back into his pockets as she checked her phone. She probably wanted to go inside. He gave her a quick nod. "Goodnight. I'll see you Friday." He said, backing away a few steps before turning and heading back the way they had come. He didn't dare look back, not wanting to seem too desperate. Levis thoughts were very confused as he walked home. He'd only known this girl for a couple of weeks, less than that, and he'd already hated her, been polite toward her, liked her, and then become friends with her. The thought that she might actually want to be friends with him as well, it was almost unbelievable to him. They'd blown through so many stages of a friendship in so little time and he felt like he would be fine if they blew right through a friendship into something more. Levi stopped in his tracks at that thought. He stood in the middle of the sidewalk, slightly in shock. When had he fallen for Raina? When had he had the time to fall for her? Levi stood there for a few moments, the shock slowly fading as a strong gust of wind blew through him. This couldn't be good. It wouldn't be good. Levi started walking again, shoving his hands deep into his pockets. He suddenly realized that he'd left his jacket with Raina. Oh well. She'd probably bring it on Friday. Friday. Levi's heart skipped a beat as he thought about seeing Raina again. He kicked himself mentally, he had to get a hold on himself. He spent the rest of the walk trying to decide what to do about these new feelings. As he entered his darkened apartment Levi decided that it would be best not to act on anything. They'd only just become friends, after all. Levi changed into his pajama bottoms and pulled on an old t-shirt. He sat on his couch with his guitar, notebook and a pen. He stared at the paper for a long time, trying to come up with something, but he was distracted by his thoughts of Raina. He finally gave up an hour later and decided to go to bed early. He curled up under his sheets, pulling them to his chin. Hopefully he'd be thinking clearer in the morning. He closed his eyes and slowly faded to sleep.
