High school for the arts

"Really? You almost had panic attacks after the teacher would call you to the front of the class to show the other students because you were good?" I ask, a bit in disbelief, thinking he was just saying this to make me feel better. Hearing his question about going off campus, I nod and say softly, "yes please."

No but I did leave the class a few times because of it. I know how much it sucks and I have had a panic attack before so I know what that is like as well. But getting out and making myself do it really helped me. Not that it will help you guaranteed, but you never know." Eric said looking at her. "Where should we go?" He asked as he walked.

I nod a little, listening to him. As nice as that sounded, I don't think I'd be getting over my fears anytime soon. I've had stage fright ever since I was young and it wasn't going away now. Following him, I shrug at his question. "I don't care, anywhere to help me forget the last hour would be nice," I tell him softly.

"Alright how about an Italian buffet?" He asked her and walked down the street. It was not far enough to need to drive. He held the door open for her and then went inside.

"Sounds delicious," I agree softly, walking alongside of him. Considering that we had just recently moved so I could come here, I was still trying to figure out all the places that were around for food and clothes and such. Walking inside, I quietly tell him "thank you," for holding the door.

"No problem." He said and walked to the counter and paid before getting a glass and a tray and picking up everything that he wanted to eat. He sighed happily and found a table for two after getting a coke to drink.

I copied as he did, paying as well and taking the food I wanted. I got a nice glass of tea instead though, never really liking the taste of soda. Following him to the table, I sit down and offer him a small smile.

Eric smiled back at her. "Well, what do you like to do besides dance?" He asked her. "As a hobby I mean." He said to her. I like to go for runs." He said to her. He wanted to learn a bit about her so he could try to help her through her stage fright and thought knowing what she liked was a key part in that.

"Oh, um, I don't really have many hobbies," I say biting my lip a little. My life consisted of sleeping, eating, studying, and dancing, that was pretty much all I did. Finally I think of something. "My little sister is teaching me how to play the piano, she's amazing at it."

"That is really cool! It would be nice to know how to play piano. I have been thinking about it and I might learn how to play and when we both get really good at playing, maybe we could play together. That also means that I need to start learning how to play." He said smiling at her. Eric started to eat when the food came. It was really good and he was happy with what he got.
