High school for the arts

"I don't know what to do either, Eric, but I can't just watch you give up that easily. There must be some way we could get the money for you so you could continue going here. Is there any way you could talk to your parents? Maybe find out why they're doing this and how you can get them to stop?" I say to him. I knew that he didn't want to ask my parents for anything else since they were already letting him stay at our house, but maybe they had some ideas that we didn't think about.

"I don't think I can talk to them about it. They won't talk to me. The only way they will is if I learn my lesson by going to a regular school for at least the rest of this year and break up with you. That is just not going to happen. I love you way too much to do that. I do not know what I would do if I lost you." He said and hugged her. "I will be fine. I will just have to deal with it if I can't get a scholarship to cover it. We will just have to see." He said with a shrug.

I frown for a moment as I listen to him, trying to think of something to help him out. "What if they think you broke up with me? Can't you just tell them that we broke up, and we'll just let them think that? I don't want to break up with you either, but how would they know if we are together? It's not like they're following you around school to see who you're with," I say to him.

Eric listened to what she was saying. "Maybe you are right. We could make them think that we broke up. If we did that, maybe that would calm them down and they would give me my tuition money back. Assuming I could get them to even talk to me in the first place." He said to her. He was not sure but maybe secretly dating her would be the best thing for them. At least for now.

This was sounding good. Maybe we actually thought of something that could work. "They'll have to talk to you. Call your parents and see if they answer. If they don't, then when you leave them a message, make sure to say that you broke up with me. I'm sure they'll at least listen to the message, and then they'll call you back."

Eric smiled at her and pulled her close and kissed her. "You come up with amazing ideas." He said and held her close as he pulled out his phone and called his parents. They did not answer much like he thought would happen. He left a message telling them that he was on his own again because he could not stand Rosemary anymore so he broke up with her. He then asked them to call him back. He knew exactly what he had needed to say to get them to call him back. He looked at her and smiled at her. "I love you." He said to her.

"It's not that amazing," I say to him with a smile. I was just happy that he thought this might work. I watched him call his parents, them not answering the phone like I thought. Once he was done leaving the message, I kissed his cheek and said, "I love you too, Eric."

"It really is though. If it works, I can stay at school with you." He smiled at her and kissed her. "I don't want to ever really break up with you." He said with a smile. He looked at her leg. "How do you feel love?" He asked her. He looked up at her.

"I don't want to ever break up with you either," I say to him, smiling a bit. "I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you here with me. I don't think I'd be able to be here by myself." So maybe I was being a bit selfish to want him to continue going to this school so I wasn't alone here, but that wasn't the only reason I wanted Eric to keep going to this school. I knew his dream was acting, and going to this school was going to help him reach his goal and make his dream come true. When he asked me about my leg, I simply shrugged. It still hurt, and I knew it'd be like that for a while before it started feeling better. "I'm fine. As long as I don't put too much weight on it, then I'll be okay."

Eric smiled at her. "Good. I am glad that you don't. I know that you could handle it without me. You are a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. I am sure that you would be fine without me but I need to keep you thinking that you need me so that you will keep me around." He said with a wink. He kissed her. "I am glad that you are okay. I do not know what I would do without you." He said. He looked at her. "It is getting late. We should probably get some sleep. We have school tomorrow and I do not want you to be tired. I do want you to get some well deserved sleep. I love you.” He said to her.
