High school for the arts

I would have kicked the girl if I hadn't been on crutches. I almost wanted to "accidentally" trip her with one of my crutches, but Eric came over before I could say anything else. That was good, because I don't know what was happening to me. I'd never say something like that to someone, especially in front of a group of people like that. Letting out a sigh, I simply agreed. "Okay," I say, before walking with him to class.

"I really am okay. You don't have to worry about me." He said to her. "I would rather them talk about me than you anyway so it does not bother me at all that they are doing just that. It gets them off of your back for a while and I am sure that you like that as well. I can handle it." He added. Eric was sure that he could. At least for a little while. He sat down in class and thought. The teacher walked in and walked over to talk to him. "If the paparazzi is still hanging around at the end of school, I will escort you to your car. It is a mad house out there since they found out who your mom is." The teacher said. Eric sighed. "I am not surprised at all."

"I wouldn't. Eric, I know I didn't want them talking about me, but I don't want them talking about you either. I just want everyone to leave us alone," I say softly. Things like this were so much easier to handle at my old school. No one knew me, so no one ever tried to talk to me.

Eric sighed and rubbed his forehead. What was his mom gaining from this? She was dragging them apart. That was her plan. He just needed to figure out how to stop it. He sighed. He looked over at his girlfriend. He smiled a little at her. "I am fine. You don't have to worry about it. I love you." He said to her. "I might need to take the long way back to your house." He said looking sat her.

I knew that Eric said he was fine, but I really didn't think he was. I was starting to get worried for him. I let out a sigh, saying to him, "I love you too." I was going to say more, but before I could, the teacher started speaking and class began. I took down notes, looking over at Eric every once in a while.

Eric was not even bothering to take notes. He just listened. He felt there was no point in taking notes. He was not going to this school for much longer anyway. He stood when the class was over and smiled a little at her. He took her hand and started out.

I noticed that he wasn't taking notes, and that made me even more worried. He needed to go to this school. I saw how much he loved acting, didn't his parents see it too? Once class was over, I put my things back in my bag, walking with Eric out of the classroom.

Eric smiled a little at her as he walked. "You okay love?" He asked her. He could see that she was thinking about something but he was not sure what it was. He figured it was probably about him. He wanted her to be okay though and not have any issues that he would have to try to fix later and him not know how to.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just..." I let out a sigh as I walked with him. I was starting to get better at using the crutches, so I was able to keep up with him as he walked. "I know you keep saying it's okay, but it's not okay. You need to keep going here, Eric. All I've ever heard from you is how much you want to be an actor. We were going to have our own show together, remember?"

"I remember that and we still can. I will still try to be an actor, you will just have it a little easier than I will and that is fine. If that does not work out for me, then I will have a backup plan. I will be okay. I really will. I will just have to change plans and make things work out differently." He added with a shrug. "I don't know what else to do." Eric added as he walked with her.
