High school for the arts

I hugged the papers close to me, wishing that there was a way for him to have both me and be with his parents, but this is what had to happen. He would have never broken up with me otherwise if I told him I knew. I'd give him the music back in a few days when he's calmed down, he'd want to keep this, it was amazing.

Eric could not focus and decided to go talk to the director. He was like a father to him when his parents were not around. He told him what happened. The director nodded. "Call your dad. Leave a message saying what happened. Maybe he will respond." The director said. Eric shrugged. "I don't know if I care enough to do that. I am thinking about switching schools." He said and they talked a bit more before Eric left his office. He decided to take a personal day for the rest of the day and went to the stage and played a sad song.

I spend the rest of my day in class, studying the music. By the time I was walking home, I could sing half the song without even looking at the words. I knew that I hadn't payed attention in any of my other classes, and that my grades might suffer a little bit because of it, but I couldn't help it.

Eric walked down the street. He left a voicemail for his father but knew they were not home when he went to the house. He said and went back to Derik's. He laid on their guest bed and cried. Derik sighed and let him cry not sure what to do. Eric stopped and just laid there his eyes all red and puffy.

I didn't go home. No one was there that would understand, except maybe my father. Normally this was a mother daughter thing to talk about, but I think my mom would be too happy to comfort me. Eric was my best friend, so I didn't really have any friends to talk about this with either. I could try Lily, but it just felt weird knowing Eric had introduced me to her and I just broke up with him. I did this. I broke his heart and mine. So instead, I go to the library, planning on losing myself in some fictional character's problems in hopes of avoiding mine.

Derik called Lily and explained what had happened. Lily felt horrible for Eric since she thought that that is what Rosemary wanted. Lily knew nothing about Eric having to move out until then. She sighed and went over to Derik's and sat with her friends on the guest bed and listened to Eric talk. He was close to crying again.

I pick out a book that looks good, but after I start reading it, I realize it's a love story. Wonderful. I shut the book abruptly and slide it away from me. It ends up sliding off the table and landing on the floor with a loud thump, earning a couple glances from other people. They didn't understand how I felt right now, they had no idea.

Lily looked at Eric and sighed. "I am going to talk to her and get to the bottom of this." She said and sighed and walked out. She went to look for Rosemary. She texted her and asked her where she was.

I walk out of the library, checking my phone to see I had a text from Lily. Eric must have told her. I was tempted not to reply, but really, I just needed someone to talk to right now. I texted her back that I was outside the library, knowing that she would be over here shortly.

Lily looked at the text and sighed. "I guess that she must not be that bad if she went to the library after breaking up with him." She said to herself and walked to the library. "Hey." She said to her.
