High school for the arts

(( I can sorta understand Eric's point of not wanting to tell her cuz she might start blaming herself for it and he doesn't want that. But still, lol, he's going through such a rough thing right now and she doesn't even know ))

I watch as someone comes over to ask about dinner with Eric tonight. Smiling as he leaves, I tease Eric, "oh Mr. Popular. You just have people lining up to hang out with you. I'm lucky that you have any time for me with your busy social life."

(Ya I get that but still.)

Eric looked over at Rosey. "Ya I guess you are right. It is a small line though. He has just been wanting to hang out for a while but with the play and everything..." He said. It was killing him on the inside to not tell her. He had to keep it up until he figured things out with his parents though. He smiled at her. "You can have all of my time. I will happily give it to you." He said smiling at her. The teacher handed them the script of the show they were going to see and asked them to read over it with a partner.

"Okay," I say to him with a smile. Even if he wouldn't tell me what was wrong, at least I knew he was going to hang out with a friend tomorrow, so he's not too upset, I hope. "Yeah, I know you would, but it'd be unfair to the rest of the world. It's okay, I can share," I tell him.

"Good. I am glad you can share. You probably would get tired of me if we were together all of the time." Eric said to her. "So I guess we could go to the other stage and work on reading through the script so it is quieter." He said to her and stood and got his things. He told the teacher and told him they could talk after class about some stuff before he walked out of the room and to the other stage. He sat down on the stage and looked at the script. His mind was elsewhere though.

When he says about working on the script at the stage, I nod, bringing my bags and walking over there. However, once we arrive, I have a feeling that he just wanted to get away from everyone else for some peace and quiet. "We can work on the script later if you want, and we could just have some fun now," I suggest to him.

"That would be nice. I need to stop thinking for a while. I will play while you dance." He said smiling at her. Where he was staying did not have a piano so he only would get the chance to play and write music at school. His parents had figured a day of that and he would be back but it was not true. He would stay out until he could keep her and live at home. Even if that never happened. He started to play a song he wrote about her that he had not sung for her and started to sing it.

So something really was wrong, even if he wouldn't tell me, at least I could take his mind off it. Throwing my stuff down in the corner, I slowly start to dance, moving to the proper beat of the music. I had no idea what I was doing, I was making it up on the spot, but it seemed to fit with his song.

Eric smiled a little as he watched her dance. It made him happy to see her doing what she loved. He went right into another song with the same basic cords just rearranged and started to sing that one.

I let my movements guide me towards the piano, dancing around him. Just for a moment, I stop dancing to kiss him on the cheek, before smiling at him and continuing on. I loved his smile, I would never get tired of seeing him smile.

Eric smiled bigger when she kissed his cheek but he keot singing the song and playing it. He always felt better when he had his music and she made it even better. The bell rang and he stopped playing. "I guess you should get to class. I have to go speak to the director but I will see you later, okay?" He said and walked over and kissed her.
