Keto waved goodbye one last time to Lux before she disappeared under the water, heading straight back to her island home. She would usually take her time, enjoy swimming a little, but she was rather tired and ready to go to sleep. It had been an eventful day, and she was worn out. She was sure Lux felt the same, too. It didn’t take long before she surfaced inside the moon pool, she was a fast swimmer after all. She settled in, floating in the water with her head resting on one of the rocks as she drifted off in to a peaceful sleep.

lux walked down the street towards her home. the street lights, illuminating her face as she did. she took a right turn and strode up to her house, glad to be home. she dashed into her room, hoping her parents wouldn't notice how long she had been gone. she hated still staying with them but she couldn't afford to move out until she had a good paying job. living with her parents would make it so much harder for lux to keep her secret. she collapsed onto her bed, it had been such a long day. she closed her eyes, drifting off into a deep sleep.

Keto woke in the morning, in the same position she had fell to sleep in. She stretched, yawning a little as she did so. When she was fully awake, she decided to take a swim to where she had left Lux last night. She hoped to see her new friend again, possibly learn a bit more about Lux and her world. She swam quickly to the little rock cove, surfacing and taking in her surroundings to make sure no one was about. When the coast was clear, she pulled herself out of the water and dried herself. She then realised the she had no idea where Lux would be, so she figured her best bet was to just wander around. She was bound to bump in to the girl, or even someone who knew her.

thankfully, the next morning lux's parents hadn't questioned her at breakfast. they had just thought that she had camped a bit longer than she had expected. she hadn't acted suspect, she had just gone about her day normally. after she got dressed and ate breakfast, she had left her house and walked down to the rocky beach, the same one where keto had brought her. she hoped that keto would be back at the beach this morning. she felt like they had some sort of strange connection that had brought them together. as she walked down the sand beach she spotted a familiar girl strolling down the beach. "keto!" she called, waving to her friend before rushing towards her.
