Keto watched as the bird call was enough the send Lux's friend's running. She waited a few moments in silence, before she stood straight and turned to Lux. "Let's just make sure they're gone, and then I'll tell you whatever you want to know." She said, before taking off in the direction that the other girls had ran, to make sure that they would leave the island and wouldn't be returning any time soon. The last thing they wanted was for a bunch of land girls to catch them in their mermaid forms on her home island.

lux nodded. she sighed then looked to the area where they had run off to. "they ran towards the boat that we brought over here," she said to keto. she followed after keto then saw that her friends were talking over what they should do. one of them said they would get the stuff they had left behind the next day. the other two agreed and they soon took off in the boat towards the main land. "how will i get back to the main land now? they took the only boat," she said to keto. she hope she wouldn't have to swim because she was pretty should she would die if she tried to swim with a...tail.

Keto watched as the girls ran in to their boat, and sailed away from the island. She then stood up straighter, no longer needing to hide now that no one was about. She turned her attention to Lux, "You can swim, you'll quickly get used to swimming with a tail. Come on, we'll swim back to the moon pool. You can get used to your tail, and then we can talk." She said before running off towards the water, diving beneath the waves as her legs transformed in to her beautiful tail. Honestly, even though that was the first time she had ever gotten legs, she much preferred her tail. She just hoped Lux wouldn't take too much of a liking to being a mermaid, because they still needed to find a way to turn her back.

lux watched as the boat disappeared and waited till it was full out of sight. she could only see it for about half of the time she could in the daytime in this darkness. she ached to get back home but she didn't know if it was possible now, would she ever see her parents again? she turned her attention back to keto. "okay, i'll try my best," she said, taking a deep breath. she neared the water then jumped in. as felt the water touch her legs and suddenly it felt like she was being pulled down. she looked down to see a long orange tail below her. she put her hands over her mouth, still trying to hold her breath. she then let it go, remembering that mermaids could breath underwater. she took her first breath and felt the odd sensation of water in her mouth. she swam towards keto and started to get the hang of it.

Keto resurfaced from the water, holding on to a rock to keep herself up without having to use too much energy. She watched as Lux followed her in to the water, steadily swimming towards her with her new tail. She seemed to be getting the hang of it, which was good. "Alright, follow me, we'll head back to the moon pool." She said as she took in a breath, ducking beneath the water before swimming off in the direction of the moon pool. She swam slower than usual, to make sure that Lux would be able to keep up, she was still getting used to a tail after all.

lux followed after keto, trying to keep up the best she could with the mermaid. she didn't really think of herself as a mermaid yet. she had a tail but she was just a normal human still, to her at least. she felt like this was a dream and this tail would just vanish at any moment. she rested on the rock as well, trying to not get too tired out. she felt like she would drown if she got too tried out. she nodded then let go off the rock and dove under water. she tried to swim as quickly as possible, which was pretty slow since she was still getting use to her tail.
