Jared waited until Erik had taken a bite of his cake so he couldn't immediately argue with him, before replying "Maybe, but not nearly as much as you." He looked down to take a bite of his own slice of cheesecake and glanced up to see Erik's reaction.

Erik looked startled and nearly choked on his bite of cheesecake, he coughed a little and looked at Jared. He swallowed the cheesecake, "I think you are mistaken, we are equally amazing." he said with a soft laugh as he looked over at him.

Jared was able to finish his mouthful with a little more grace and a straight face. When he was done however, he smiled and nodded his head in agreement. "As long as it's equally," he remarked pointedly, willing to compromise on the issue, even though he still thought Erik was much more extraordinary and incredible then Jared.

Erik chuckled, "Equal." he smiled as he looked at Jared and happily continued eating, "Please don't make me choke on the cheesecake, that would be an undignified way to go." he chuckled.

"I'll do my best, but I can't make any promises..." he teased, continuing to eat as well. He cleared his plate quickly, the cake having been some of the best he had ever had and he couldn't get enough of it.

"I love this cake, I am glad it is a long drive, or I would lose my figure entirely.' he laughed as he looked at Jared with a smile, "Ready to go?" he asked with a grin as he studied her.

"We most certainly wouldn't want that," Jared replied, nodding his head in agreement with Erik's comment about loving the cheesecake. "Yeah, especially since this means I get to see the next part of the surprise, right?" Jared questioned, hope lighting up his face faintly.

"Yes it does." Erik smiled as he looked at Jared, "Let's go." he said leaving a few bills on the table before he headed out out with Jared to the jeep again. "It is pretty great if I do say so myself, but not as exciting as tomorrow."

"Well, if you say so, it must be truly amazing," Jared remarked with a teasing voice as he walked out of the restaurant beside him. Even as he spoke though, his curiosity grew at Erik's words and he looked up at him with bright, excitement-filled eyes. "How long before we get to do it?"

Erik smiled, "Half an hour." he said as opened the jeep door for Jared, "In you go." he said with a chuckle. He knew Jared would be tired, so he was going to take him to where they would be staying for the weekend, he hoped he'd like it.
