"Hmm... I suppose I have some spare time to check it out," Jared stated in a calm voice, even though his smile and the excitement in his eyes showed that he was looking forward to the prospect of seeing where Erik lived.

Erik chuckled happily as he got into the jeep and began to drive back to campus, "I hope you aren't too disappointed, it's no Bruce Wayne mansion." he said with a laugh and a smile as he looked over at Jared for a moment before he looked back at the road. "And whoops, I am kind of a nerd." he said with a chuckle, "You'd be surprised how often I was insulted using batman references, even though my parents are still alive." He smiled a little, "Plus, I think I am more attractive then him in all honesty."

Jared laughed and shook his head at Erik's comments. "It's no problem. One of my few close friends was a Batman fan as well, so I used to the references. Though I didn't understand or remember most of them," he stated. "And i think you might be right on that last point."

Erik chuckled as he watched, "Thanks for agreeing with me Jared." he said as he drove, he knew they had a bit of a drive, since they were on the opposite side of the city. "So Jared, have any questions before I bring you home?" he asked with a teasing smile.

Jared's eyes widened like a deer caught in the headlights and he glanced over at Erik. "Nooo... he said hesitantly, though it sounded like Erik had expected some. "Was I suppose to have any?" Knowing his luck, there was something he was suppose to say or do and he didn't know about it because of his lack of a social life.

Erik laughed, "I don't know, like maybe, "Are you a serial killer?" or possibly, "Just let me text all the people I know and love so that they know where I went in case I mysteriously vanish."." he suggested with a teasing smile, "Isn't there something about it always being the rich and good looking ones?" He was kidding of course, but he knew that bad things could happen, that's all that were ever on the news.

Jared peered over at him now like he had grown a second head. "Ahh, yes, of course. Because it's not like you haven't had the opportunity to kidnap or kill me in the past few days. Besides, I trust you Erik, and that's not something I do easily." Jared meant what he said, and thought that the fact that Erik was worried about it contradicted the scenario he was trying to paint, even if it was a joke.

Erik chuckled, "Now why do you trust me?" he asked as he glanced over at Jared before focusing on the road again. "I don't think of myself as someone who gets trusted easily, mainly because I am happy and charismatic, with the bad habit of not talking about me." he said with a light chuckle.

"That may be true, though it doesn't affect my view of you. And I don't think you'll believe me if I tell you my reasoning,"" Jared warned with a shrug, looking out the window. He wasn't against telling Erik, but he thought the other man should have a sort of warning at how weird he was about to sound.

"I wanna hear it now." Erik said with a chuckle, "You won't know if I will believe you till you tell me." he said as he drove, they were getting closer to the school now. He was curious as to Jared's reasoning though, this boy was such a different person from the people he usually hung out with, but he liked it.
