Jared smiled at the teasing and shook his head, taking another bite of his burger. "It's great! Just like always," he answered. "Though, I have to ask. Why didn't you get much?" He didn't really mind how much Erik ate or didn't eat, but he was curious as to why he didn't get much.

Erik smiled, "Good thing about fast food, it always tastes the same." he said with a nod. He was a little surprised by the question, "Oh, I don't like pop, and I think they fries here taste like dryer lint." the boy said with a chuckle as he looked over at Jared.

"Really?" Jared questioned skeptically. Then a teasing grin filled his face as he continued. "You must not know what good junk food tastes like then. Too much of that fancy, rich-people food."

Erik nodded, "Must be." he replied with a smile as he looked at Jared, he finished his burger and leaned back, "But their burgers are always good." he said happily.

Jared nodded his head in agreement and smiled over at him. He was just a little over halfway done with his own meal. "Yeah, but my favorite thing about fast food restaurants is always what they have as a 'dessert'. You know rootbeer floats, blizzards, milkshakes. All that jazz."

Erik chuckled, "I never really had sweets as a kid, had to keep up my trim appearance, I was in every thing you could think, clubs, sports, you name it." he smiled as he looked at Jared.

"Well, while I firmly believe that everyone should be able to experience any sweet whenever they want... It definitely looks like your choice was a good one. You achieved your objective. Jared laughed for a moment before quieting down. He thought for a second and then looked up at Erik again. "That sounds like a something in there would be pretty fun. Did any of them stick? I mean, did you really enjoy doing any certain one or few?"

Erik chuckled, "It did indeed, I stayed in peek shape, although I am not in much anymore." he said as he looked at him, which lead him into Jared's second question, "Yeah, I loved lacrosse, and polo, and archery was pretty fun. And even some of the artsy ones, like I loved sculpting, and writing, but those were quickly shut down by my parents, well where they could." he laughed.

Jared cocked his head curiously and peered over at Erik. You'll have to shown me it all sometime, it sounds really interesting. But what could you mean by 'where they could'?"

Erik smiled, "I will! I think you'd like polo, you get to be really in tune with your horse." he said happily as he watched. A grin spread on his face, "And I mean, where they could, I like it, so I didn't stop, I would still write at school, and I would draw when they weren't around." he smiled.
