”My phone. I remembered something we can try with the oatmeal if you want, but I have to look it up....” he answered, still looking around. A minute later though he found it in his bag, funny since he didn’t remember putting it there, and began tapping away at it as he returned to Erik’s side.

Erik smiled as he watched, "Oh, what's that?" he asked with a chuckle, "I would love to try something new for both of us that we can make together." he said as he looked at him curiously as he stirred the oatmeal.

Jared continued tapping at the screen for a few seconds before holding the phone up so Erik would be able to look over and see it. ”I mean.... it’s possible you’ve heard of it or seen it before.... but Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal. It seemes simple enoug, just add some ingredients to give it the cinnamon roll taste, and this particular recipe says it makes two servings....

Erik smiled, "Oh that looks awesome." he said happily, "I think that looks good, we can have it." he said, "Want to grab the ingrediants for me?" he asked as he looked at him. "We can make it together and be all warm and cutesy." he said warmly.

Jared grinned happily as Erik asked if he would grab the ingredients they would need, and nodded before turning to fetch them all. He laughed happily as he heard his boyfriend’s next comment and shook his head softly, even though he was still grinning happily. ”If you say so Erik....” he replied in a teasing tone.

Erik stuck his tongue out "We don't have to." he teased as he looked at him, "We can just make oatmeal in a very proffessional manner." he smiled as he looked at Jared as he began cooking with the ingrediants. Asking Jared questions about the next step whenever he needed to know it.

"Ah, yes. Of course. In a very professional manner," he echoed in a fake serious voice as he brought over the ingredients, setting them on the counter as he returned the smile and happily began to read off the instructions. It was nice, for them to be working together like this.

Erik smiled and kissed his cheek, "I think this will be amazing." he said happily as he looked at Jared, it already smelled so amazing. He let it simmer and turned to hug Jared, wanting to talk with him about what he saw, but he didn't want to bring it up, he didn't want to lose this. He smiled, but he knew Jared would be gone soon enough, these things never lasted. His phone rang and he heard the ringtone and frowned, he looked back at Jared though, "Excited for baking today/' he asked as it rang in the background.

Jared smiled and laughed softly as Erik kissed his cheek and hugged him. He couldn’t agree more that their breakfast seemed like it was going to be amazing. He tilted his head to smile up at the other, just so happy in that moment and not even realizing something was on Erik’s mind. His smile dimmed slightly as Erik’s phone began and the other ignored it with a frown. Confusion started to fill his expression, and he looked like he was about to ask about the unknown caller, until Erik asking if he was excited for baking. He still looked a little confused, which dimmed his returning enthusiasm slightly, he he smiled and nodded once more. “Super excited. I can’t wait to see all the different cookies we make...... or to eat them for that matter.”

Erik smiled, "We are going to get so fat." he teased as he looked at him. "I can't wait to make things with you, and those hot dog things." he laughed as he let go and went back to the stove and disheed them both out happily, "Ready to eat?" he asked with a smile as he held out the steaming bowl of cinnamon roll oatmeal. It smelled amazing, so he was excited to try this, and he was glad Jared had suggested it.
