”Just you wait Erik. You’ll see they’re real and you will love them,” Jared teased him back before turning to nose in the other’s pantry for something to eat for breakfast, otherwise he was likely to eat half the cookie dough and then they wouldn’t have nearly as many cookies to eat later.

Erik chuckled, "Want some nice warm oatmeal?" he asked as he looked over at himl, that would be perfect for the day, since it was still chilly outside, and he did make a good oatmeal after all.

Jared glanced over at the other when he offered oatmeal, biting his lip as he considered the offer. He wasn’t against oatmeal, but there were some ways it tasted great and others that make him wonder why anyone would want to eat it. ”Depends.... how are you going to make it?” he asked curiously.

Erik chuckled, "I am ging to make it in a pot with boiling milk." Erik saidas he smiled over at Jared warmly, "Will that work?" he asked with a chuckle.

Jared frowned at the other, though it was clear he wasn't being serious. 'I meant, like, the flavor. Is it going to be plain, or do you put fruit of something in it, or do you add the good stuff like brown sugar or cinnamon?" he clarified as he stuck a tongue out at Erik.

(Hey I'm sorry for lack of replies, but I've had the flu for the past few days and now might be getting bronchitis or pneumonia, so I will try to reply when I'm feeling up to it, but I don't know how often that will be....)

"You can add flavour to your liking." he said as he smiled over at Jared, "So then it can be whatever you want it to taste like." he said warmly.

Jared seemed to consider the idea before smiling and nodding, reaching up and grabbing the things he wanted to add to his own oatmeal so he would have them ready as he answered, "Alright, sounds like a plan." he walked over, placing the stuff he wanted on the counter by Erik, leaning into Erik's side some as he glanced to see if there was anything he could do to help. He was glad they could relax and tease each other like this. It was such a comfortable dynamic, one Jared didn't know how he had lived without before now.

Erik smiled and got to work on making the traditiona style oatmeal, humming as he did so, "I add cinnamon usually, do you like cinnamon?" he asked as he looked over at Jared with a warm smile.

Jared considered this new option before nodding. ”Yeah, I love cinnamon, though I’ve never tried it in oatmeal before. It kinda of reminds me of cinnamon rolls.....” he trailed off as an idea came to mind and wandered off back into the main part of Erik’s form to find his phone.

Erik smiled, "Okay." he chuckled as he added some cinnamon and hummed as he cooked the oatmeal. He glanced over as Jared wandered off, "What are you looking for?" he asked as he looked at him with a chuckle.
