Jared smiled at the other remark that they could still lay in bed, more than happy the other also wanted to just lay there with him. He tilted his head as he felt the kiss on his cheek and nodded in agreement at Erik’s comment. ”much better,” he echoed softly.

Erik smiled at him and relaxed, "I am glad." he said as he laid his arm over Jared and exhaled softly. He was enjoying this actually... he rubbd Jared's back and closed his eyes as he did so, humming softly as he did so.

Jared was perfectly content right there in that moment, especially with Erik's arm around him and him rubbing his back. He'd be perfectly happy if they did this every morning from now on..... though he knew it wasn't likely to become an everyday thing. he also closed his eyes, Erik's humming keeping him awake, though it was the only thing that was.

Erik looked at Jared and smiled, he let his humming trail off as he just laid with him, Jared could sleep more if he wanted. As for Erik, he was pretty awake, since he had gotten more sleep then he usually did, so he just thought about the day ahead.

As Erik’s humming faded, so did Jared’s consciousness. He fell back into a peaceful sleep, his breath slowing and growing even before long. He would probably sleep in for at least another hour, if not several.

Erik just let him sleep, but after a little over an hour passed, he got up and began doing things quietly arounf the apartment.

Jared slept through it all, only starting to drift back into consciousness shortly after the second hour had passed since he had fallen back asleep. Still pretty early considering how late he could sleep if he wanted to. At first he just lay there, but after a bit, he lifted his head and propped himself up slightly to look around when he realized Erik was no longer beside him.

Erik was humming and hanging up garland over the bookshelves, there was a rubbermaid on the floor and he had been decorating for Christmas while Jared slept.

Jared took a minute to absorb everything and a short time later, he burrowed out from underneath the blankets, padding over to Erik’s side. He kind of reached for and just lightly held out the hem of the others shirt as he peered blearily at what the other was doing, since he hadn’t put his glasses on yet. He was clearly still tired, but he was up and moving so he had obviously decided it was time to wake up.

Erik smiled and looked over at him, "Hey sleepy." he said warmly and gave him a soft kiss, "Want to go shower and wake up?" he asked as he looked over at him. He knew the shower might help, since he was still sleepy, plus it was always a refreshing thing to do to get ready for a fun filled day.
