nadezhda didn't know how well she would get along with clarke. they seemed to have clashing opinions and a sense of pride about both of them. she felt octavia take her hand and got her signal. she needed to calm down. from now on, she would let octavia talk unless clarke spoke right to her. she didn't want to have to talk to this self-proclaimed leader but she did want to make peace. it would be benefiting the sky people as if her people wanted to exterminate them they would be able to and very easily at that. she listened to what they both said about war. it was true that she didn't want a war but she would fight if she had to. she narrowed her eyes when octavia began to tell clarke about the prisoners and tell her that she could take the prisoners back. she narrowed her eyes and raised her brow at octavia. she had to stop her when she began to invite her to polis. "octavia," she said in a warning tone, she had the upper hand with the prisoners and she wasn't about to give them away.

Octavia almost flinched at the tone in Nadezhda's voice. She knew that the commander wouldn't be so eager to give up her prisoners, but she could hope. "Clarke, can you give us a moment?" Octavia asked. Clarke nodded before leaving the tent with Murphy. Clarke had been a good friend, but she knew that Nadezhda wouldn't want to discuss the prisoners whilst total strangers were there. Octavia turned to Nade, letting out a sigh. "Are you seriously going to keep them prisoner? We can't make peace if we're holding their people. I know we only came here so that I could see them, to make sure they're all ok. But they're not gonna sit back while we keep some of them in a dungeon. They're gonna fight back, and they're not going to win. I know these people, they're my friends and I don't want them to die. So please, release the prisoners." She was practically begging by now, hoping that Nadezhda trusted her enough to listen to her. "You can set up boundaries that they can't cross into your lands, if they do, do as you please. But they didn't know anyone was here when you picked them up. They do now, and they won't come back. They're not going to be a problem."

nadezhda narrowed her eyes before clarke walked out of the tent with a boy that seemed to almost be acting as her guard. she didn't know his name but he didn't look to be happy. she turned her attention back to octavia. "octavia, this isn't a matter of making peace, this is a matter of my safety and my people's safety. they've seen the inside of polis and if they get out and tell anyone here they could make plans to kill me and everyone in polis. your people have guns like the mountain men they will surely kill some of my people if i allow those prisoners to come back here and plot against me," she said to her. "even if they won't win, i know some of my people will die and so will some of yours," she said to her. "and how can i trust that they will respect the borders? they aren't part of the coalition so none of the clans will come together if i have to keep them out of my territory," she said. she took a deep breath, pacing. she clenched her fist. she couldn't deal with this. "we came her so you could talk to your people, not so you could bargain off the prisoners," she said.

Octavia let out a frustrated huff. Honestly this woman was impossible, but her own stubborn side was starting to show. "So you want a war?" She said, folding her arms across her chest. "Bellamy is dead so that the others would be safe. If you go to war with my friends, then I killed him for nothing." She had to take a deep breath, closing her eyes for a second so that she wouldn't become too emotional over her brother. She couldn't let Nadezhda see a weakness. When she opened her eyes, they were lit with a new fire. "If you don't let them go, you'll get a war. And I'll stay here, with my friends. To fight against you until everyone is safe."

nadezhda sighed and ran her hand through her hair. she looked at octavia. "octavia, im not saying that im not going to let your people go but i need time. we need to write an agreement and compromise," she said to the girl. she turned away from octavia when she started to talk to her brother. she turned back to her, tears clouding her eyes. "octavia, my whole family is dead and all of my friends, i watched all of them get killed and i couldn't do anything," she said. she took a deep breath. "we'll working something out, just not today. i need time to talk to Clarke and work out a compromise," she said to her, starting to pace.

Octavia looked down at the ground, feeling a little bad for lashing out at the commander, now knowing that she too had lost her family. “I’m sorry about your family, but at least you didn’t have to stick a knife into their chest.” She shook her head as soon as the words left her mouth, probably not the best thing to say. She let out a sigh before apologising to the commander again, tears beginning to fill her eyes again. She refused to let them fall. “I’m sorry, it’s just hat Bellamy was all I had. The only person that cared about me growing up. He always protected me, and I couldn’t even save him. He always put me first, and that’s why he’s dead. He dies to protect me, and everyone here. And what if we go to war? What do I do, I couldn’t fight with you against my friends. Everything is so hard without him here to help me.” She was trying really hard to not let the tears fall in front of Nadezhda, not wanting to seem weak in front of her. “I don’t even know why I’m telling you this, you don’t really care.” She said with a laugh, turning away so her back was facing the other girl. Now that she couldn’t see her, Octavia brought a hand to her eyes and wiped away the tears before they could fall.

It’s good to be back :) sorry again, im also on mobile and I’m rusty so this may be a little sucky.
It’s like 5am and I can’t sleep, god help me when I have to be up in two hours.

nadezhda clenched her fists, trying not to lash out at octavia at the next sentence she spoke. "octavia, you must know, somewhere inside of you, that i did that to save you and the rest of your people. you and the rest of them would have been dead by now," she told her. "and i know you'll never forgive me and im fine with that," she said to her. she shook her head. "no, don't apologize, this is my fault. everything is my fault," she said shaking her head again. she looked up at her from her feet to her face. she moved towards octavia and laid a hand on her shoulder. "octavia, look at me, listen to me. there won't be a war, i promise," she told her. her eyes filled up with tears when octavia started to cry. "of course i care. octavia, i care for you more than anyone," she said, wiping tears from her own cheeks before took did something she didn't think about. she kissed the sky girl on the lips.

Octavia was stood still for a moment, completely shocked at what was currently happening. Was she dreaming or was Nadezhda’s lips currently pressed against her own. It didn’t take long for her to get over the shock, and she melted into the kiss, her whole body seemed to relax as she brought her hands up to the back of the commanders head. Her fingers tangled in the intricate braids, pulling the grounder leader impossibly closer. She had not expected this, and she certainly didn’t think she’d enjoy it as much as this. Not that she thought about kissing her. Well, not a lot anyway. Much too soon, Octavia had to pull back in favor of air. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she was finding it difficult to breathe. “I care about you, too. But what happens if the grounders want a war? You know how some of them are, if they want a war then they’ll have a war. And I don’t want to have to fight you.” God why did it have to be like this. Why couldn’t life just be easy. Thinking about it, life was so much easier in the ark. Even if she was cooped up under the floor, hiding and fearing for her life, it still wasn’t as complicated as life down on the ground.
