The kiss suprised him too causing him to flinch as kindness was not what he had ever recieved when in distress but as soon as it registered that he was not being hurt he pulled Alex into a awkward hug which ended up being more leaning and pressing against the other male due to Alex now holding his good hand. He sniffed snuffled and nodded trying to curd the emotions that had poured from him. "what do we do now? My room is still there a little longer but.. we do need a place to live and I can't leave here before my arm is better. I thought it was going to be soon but, recent events kinda set me back a few weeks, if not more." He looked at the arm setting in the sling then back at Alex. Hesitating he moved slowly forward and returned the soft little kiss with a shy one of his own.

Alex-
As he flinched during the kiss I backed up some. When he hugged me I did my best to support our weight but had to lean back a bit and pull away before I fell over. I nod and say, "We need to go to one of the pack houses." It would be best to get Landon healed and there was someone I needed to talk to about this. I was looking at his arm when he gave me a shy kiss, a blush rose to my cheeks as I returned it. With a soft smile I gave his hand a squeeze then moved back some as I was still awaiting his reaction.

"Will that be safe for you? .. If we went to a pack house? You said before your pack didn't take to romantic relations between .." He cut off and blushed deeply himself. "That is where this seems to be going.. I am having trouble healing my wolf form though. Even before this set back. You saw that yourself. I couldn't even stand and shifting hurt soo much. I know how to strengthen my human form now but .. Really will it be safe for us to go to your pack? .. will they accept me?" He didn't mind hiding his feeling if that was necessary but he didn't want to feel the hatred he often felt from his own kin.

(Worked 12 hours and have to go back for six am. Things are throbbing that I don't remember having before.)

Alex-
I really didn't know if they would or not. We certainly couldn't show any thing more then friendship, it wasn't the packs fualt though it was my fathers. Not wanting to give a defiant answer I wbisper, "I don't know..." Looking away I wasn't sure this was such a good idea any more. Running a hand through my hair I say,"We can try it though, just for a few weeks till your healed enough to be on your own and after I talk about some stuff." I say. "Truthfully I'm not sure what happened and why I was left in the woods like that but we can just say you rescued me. Of course my father will want to know what took so long for us to go back to them." We would have to think up a plan, but right now the sky was darkening and the scent of a approaching storm was in the air. "Come on let's find some shelter." I say and stand.

(That's to bad, I'm sorry about that)

"You had become sick and I had to get you better before it was safe to return you. Its more truth than lie and you didn't take all of your medicine." He raised a brow. "You could add a portion of our run in with Steele if you think that will help our request. "If your pack refuses us both it will be hard for me to fight them off. But I will keep you safe." Landon promised. He really had no plans on taking back his vow. "You know that fighting will be a ladt resort. I would like to be able to be around your kin a little. See how a normal pack operates. River broke my pack. If we can't have a life there either I would rather walk away in peace maybe at worst take some with us and you can start over .. we can both start over. "

His dimmed senses caught a wiff of the comming storm there would be heavy rain and soon. The fire in him hated rain it didn't weaken him noticably but it made his powers near useless. He followed after Alex. "Its not long now." A strong gust and the first few drops made his words null. They were out of time. "How much further? Can we make it before.." Loud crackling thunder cut off his remaing words and sent a chill through him.

(Only 9 hours today hopefuly tomorrow will be a normal 6-8 hours?)

Alex-
I nod, "That is a good idea and plan. We shouldn't mention Steele, though. He's the only male my father let me be in a relationship with." I say not wanting to go into detail with that confusing mess. I was suppose to join Steele in his pack as his mate but after I broke it off with him he left our pack and became rogue. Starting over would be hard but it didn't sound like a bad idea to me. "You'll probably meet my older brother. To warn you he'll probably act likes he going to punch you but he wont." I say. "But my dad will if he acts like it." I say. I would like to hang out with him though.

Noticing how he acted with the thunder I took his hand, "Are you scared?" I ask lacing our fingers together.

Landon couldn't help being embarresed that the noise of the storm bothered him. "Its less the storm than who it reminds me of Lightning magic was one of her strengths. Zaped more than a few people before my eyes. I learned to fear it. Thunder came to mean death." He whined as another clap came, this one much closer. It almost seemed to make the trees vibrate though it was just the rising wind. "I'll try not to get punched and I'll also try to avoid burning anyone. I'd rather they not know about my magic if they have to notice I'm impure witch will not be the first thing on their list of suspects. Were is more common a mix.. not that those pups are often let to live. Not in my experiance anyway. I will simply follow your lead in regards to a more detailed version should it become necessary. They are your kin, you can read them best. You already read me too well." Lightning reached down forking in many directions and lighting up the darkened sky. Landon swallowed a yelp and begged that shelter was close now.

Half of me wanted to laugh at his fear the better half knew it would hurt him if I did. Giving his hand a squeeze I smile gently, "Yeah, they are a weird family." I say. I nod knowing it was best that he did that, "The pack house is half a mile from here." I say and keep walking. Feeling the wind I smile and it widens as more thunder comes, I always like storms like this.

"At the risk of sounding like a whining pup .. Are we there yet?" Landon managed to deadpan. His voice covered the fear well this time but it was still reflected in his eyes and less sure stance not mention his scent. It was beginning to rain hard now and the trees were not offering much protection anylonger as the canopy above had become saturated. The storm center would soon be over them. Breaks between lightning and thunder were shortening rapidly. "Another of Tiver's chosen loved storms. We were friends I guess for a time. She was snakelike but I'm not sure her bloodline. She was the only one that knew before you and you are now the only one alive she died in the conflict that should have cost me my life and nearly cost me my arm. .. I hope its empty I din't think I can hide it right now with everything else from today. An I can't afford to look weak before your pack." He was worried more about acceptance than the storm even if it alone was enough to unsettle him.






The old Alpha stared out into the storm. Uncertain of the sequence of wvents that had transpired this past week. Alex had been set up for a test but had dissapeared instead of returning to the pack. The younger Alpha still needed to explain why he had ended the bond with the other make after pleading over it. Sich a unnatural bond it had not distressed him to see it broken but there had been political fall out that had to be delt with. Now therr was another pack squatting in his packs territory. There Was enough to go around for now and the other pack looked transient butbif the did nor move on soon he would have his warriors give them paws to.
