Whitepaw woke up to a stream of sun lying across his face. He squinted as he moved his eyes out of the way of the light, grunting in annoyance before standing up and shaking his fur off and walking outside. He spotted Dovepaw out of the corner of his eye, but wanted to wake up a bit more before engaging in proper conversation so he sat just next to the apprentices den, his tail neatly wrapped around himself, covering his paws, deciding to wait for Frosteye to wake up and ask him about training this morning. He frowned at his decision, sometimes Frosteye wasn't the most pleasant cat to talk to, but if he said everything right, sometimes it wasn't so bad. Because of his mentors generally harsh attitude, whitepaw tried his best to impress him, but it usually didn't work too well.

Foxear nodded at her suggestion. 'We can do that I suppose.' She said, then turning to look at Flamestep as she overheard his words. 'Sorry, but Icepaw and I won't be able to go on patrol, we're going to collect herbs later in the day. I still need to figure out what herbs we need more of and sort them all out.' She didn't really pay much mind to the fact that she was going against what her deputy had just said, but Icepaw and her had already made plans and she wasn't going to change them for one cat - it's not like they were needed on the patrol anyway so Flamestep shouldn't be able to argue with her if she'd already organised her day.

He didn't react to the cat's threatening actions apart from being mindful that the cat might attack but what was he supposed to do if he attacked anyway, he didn't know how to defend himself; that cat was only just as tall as him when he went into defensive position.'I'm Sammy. Don't you suppose you should be more respectful of your elders?' He said, jokingly, not to feeling too threatened by the cat. 'So you're a house cat too?' He said, hitting his bell with his front poor, causing it to jingle. 'It's nice to get out and about, though being out alone can be quite intimidating.' He continued with a smile.

Devil tilt his head a bit sideways before relaxing himself Sorry, im just a bit jumpy its dangerous out here.. he meowed in his normal tone, he sat down letting his tail slowly flick up dust by the tip of his tail. He stared at sammy for a bit before he replied Im Devil....... and im not a kittypet but thats another story he said in a stern voice even though Devil was a 8 moons old he was big for his age which gave him the advantage if anything happened.

Nodding her head, she gazed up at Featherfrost, "Okay, lets go!" she jumped about, rushing towards the entrance of camp. She happily pranced around, excited for the training. Well, half excited. "So uh, where are we going? she paused for a second, frowning.

kestrelflight nodded. "sure, we could catch up then," he suggested with a small smile and a flick of his tail. seeing that flame step looked indecisive on whether to combine the patrol or not, he offered his own opinion, "well, that would certainly save some trips back and forth. i think that's great." he nodded assuringly. "and so are you, don't worry, flamestep. you've got this."

icepaw nodded, turning around to see the deputy. "sorry, flamestep," she shrugged and dipped her head apologetically. flicking her tail as she looked up to meet foxear's eyes, the small white she cat piped up, "we're ot of goldenrod, and tansy is running low. i'm not so sure about the rest." she mewed cheerily.

featherfrost chuckled softly as she padded behind her apprentice, smirking slightly. she wondered when maple paw would realize that she didn't know where she was going, and the apprentice soon voiced her thoughts. "well, how about i lead you to the great oak tree?" she smiled, "i think it's best that we know where we're going before we go there, huh?" flicking her tail, she fell into step with her apprentice.

❄ aspenstar looked on proudly at her clan. they were all so organized. her gaze fell when it drifted upon flamestep's anguished face. she detected the concern of not fulfilling his duties properly. sympathy rising in her, she found herself padding towards the ginger-coloured tom. she had experienced the very same during the first few days after she was elected deputy.
"greetings, flamestep." acknowledging the other warrior stationed beside him, she added, "and kestrelflight." turning back to flamestep, she addressed the current issue.
"i see you're having some troubles assigning patrols, are you? well, don't you worry. you're not alone. i fell upon the same situation back in my deputy days." she purred, a wistful lilt in her voice.
"here's some advice for you. as a deputy, you're going to have to be a lot firmer than you were as a warrior." her was voice momentarily strung taut at those words. she may regret going hard on flamestep, but he needed to be ready in case she ever... aspenstar refused to end that thought, firmly sweeping the thoughts away.
"you may have to call back some cats from walking away. you'll have to rouse the sleepyheads, that's for sure." chuckling lightly at those words, aspenstar recalled the old days. chasing the late sleepers wasn't an easy and fast job, but with enough confidence to do it, she believed flamestep was up to it.

He greeted his leader with a slight bow, and listened, absorbing and overthinking every word she said. He understood why the leader was going a little strict with him. His behavior was not acceptable for his rank. "Thank you, Aspenstar.'' He smiled. "I was thinking, i couldnt find enough available cats to do both patrol and hunting. Why don't we combine the two? It will save some time... We can always try something new, can't we? Just for this morning..." His voice was firm and confident while he spoke, although he felt a bit queer giving his leader suggestions.

Spottedtail kept waiting, hoping that she'll be needed. She was happy to see Flamestep's confidence coming back to him.

❄ "good thinking, flamestep." aspenstar praised her deputy's smart thinking, but she thought he needed something else. a little more assurance of himself.
"of course. trying new things is a part of life. but remember, i won't always be here to answer your questions, flamestep. you need to be sure of yourself, and question yourself whether it's a good idea or not. alright?" aspenstar said kindly. he would have to forgive her for all that advice, but aspenstar wanted him to be ready at all times. the sea was unpredictable, always churning and frothing. the clan was never able to predict it's mood, unless clues popped up here and there. the sea could easily take a single life, so aspenstar was always prepared for a turn of the tide.

"Okay!" she slowed down a little, letting featherfrost lead the way. As she padded alongside her mentor, she smiled a little, her heart fluttering with excitement with each paw step. But she felt a tinge of uneasiness, a seed of doubt in her mind. What if I fail? Hunting isn't my best area..

ooc;; srsly guys, please let's not make this die too. Ra was trying so hard and now it looks just like all the other clans. Before we blamed the other inactive people, but guys, come on, now it's only us...eye hurry up with an interesting plot to get this thing to live again.

He nodded with admiration in his eyes. He understood the leader's point. "Listen up everybody! We're going to try something new. There aren't so many of us, so we are going to try and combine hunting and patrol. Because it's the first time, I will lead the party. "Kestrelflight, Spottedtail Frosteye and Whitepaw will come with me." He finished speaking and sat by the entrance to the camp, waiting.

Devil's right. Here in Australia, we've just started school and also I've started touch football and piano again so right now I'm getting A LOT more work than I'm used to and just haven't had the time to sit down and write 3 responses I'll reply later today since I'm not going to school tomorrow and I'll have more time it's just been WAY too hard to fit internet in with my daily routine because of everything that's been going on. I'm usually quite organised with school work and leisure but with touch training every 3rd afternoon and going into grade 5 of piano in a few weeks, I really have to practice and I thought I could keep up with CS and school but when I joined the RP I didn't know I'd be doing touch /or/ going into grade 5 of piano. So my apologies, I'll try to be more active.
