Nianna chuckled and nodded. "Id have to agree with you on that. Its funny. Even his father had that smirk though he didnt show it in the paintings." She sombered as Rin noticed Caiahs condition. "Aye... He is an only child." she hugged Kaisiin as she confirmed Rins words.

Felsii chuckled. She nodded in greeting to Zess as the taller wiman got near.

Zess grinned at the sight of the three royals. "Ahoy. Shouldnt ya be bein followed by gaurds er somin? Te market is fair from what I seen. Figured mi boys devered ah special treat o fresh bread today."

Avian gave Dek a confused look as he spoke of going fishing. "That sounds more dangerous than fun but perhaps well take you up on that offer."

Fallen hesitated at Kaltens offer. "This place is not for me. I will follow but I will not be seen." He vanished as he 'spoke' confirming what he said.

Wolf and Sigurn followed Gavi and the twins while bear sat with his back to the wall giving anyone near him a death glare.

Nick chuckled as Demarae became more excited. "Im not sure. Well have to see when we get there." He smiled softly as Demarae hid behind him as the villagers passed by. "You know, you dont really have to hide from them. They arent going to attack you and if they were Id give you warning."

Garm was happy for the cold as his blush was well hidden. He swallowed slowly and nodded, watching Lani as she wandered away before following her to help search.

Rin withdrew her hand and shook her head dolefully, "Why haven't I heard of this before? He never said anything about a sibling for as long as I've known him". She turned back to look at Nianna with dewey eyes, "What happened"?

"Don't think we can handle ourselves, captain Zess? You should ask the future queen what happened earlier I'm sure you'd get a kick out of it" Fal'rien chuckled as she smiled, "Awe you treat your crew so well".

"That's the point" Dek grinned as he stood and stretched with a twist of his back, "Wrestle something that really doesn't wanna be outta water with some of your best mates and it shows you how good life feels. Even better if you can cook your catch"!

"Suit yourself" Kalten grinned as he pulled his hood further over his face and headed toward another vendor further down the street who looked to be selling dried goods.

Gavrielle ordered a round and leaned on the bar as the tender turned to start filling glasses. She glanced over to Bear before focusing on her hands as she waited for the drinks, "Not going to join us then, Mr. Assassin"?

Demarae relaxed slightly and went to stand on the other side of Nick, "Do you blame me for my reaction? My interactions with these people and others are usually less than peaceful ". She looked to the ground as she lifted a hand to touch the mark over her eye with a forlorn sigh.

Lani ran into the forest and pretended to search near the tall pines for any sort of fallen branches, hiding behind a few trees to let the rising heat subside in her cheeks. She heard the faint rumbling of something but after a short look around she couldn't pinpoint the source and so ignored it. She smiled and called over to Garm, "There's some branches across the clearing, come on"!

"Im not surprised. He never really said much about it except that talking about it would hurt his masiian, so he just never talked." Nianna looked to Rin and sighed lightly, hugging Kaisiin protectively again. "I dont remember all the details but I do know that the child was still born. Caiah was devastated naturally. I dont think it was very long after that that your brother was born, actually. I remember Treysin being concerned that Taivil was bothering your mother and Duallen because he was always wanting to be around them. Almost like he veiwed Duallen as his little brother, though he knew he wasnt. Still Taivil and Caiah both were traumatized by the loss of the little girl... There were times after that that Caiah and Treysin tried to have another child but she never got farther that five or six months before she miscarried. Or at least thats what ive been told. You could probably ask your mother or mine to confirm it..."

Zess chuckled. "Oi Im sure ya can handlebyerselves. I jus dont know te protocol." She shrugged lightly with a smirk. "Ya say tha yet ye avent seen wah appens when teyre bad. Yer daughter could fill ya in on tha story."

"Or if you dont want to go all the way to the ocean you could wrestle a bear or Bear in general." Avian countered a light smile creeoing its way to his lips"

Bear looked to Gavrielle and huffed. "Its probably saffer if I stay over here and not upset Nivallia more. We dont want there to be a fight now do we?"

Nick shook his head and looked to Demarae. He looked up at the sky in thought. "I can understand in my own way. At first I was really jumpy around people and so where my brothers but when others helped us instead of attack us like our father did we got better. We still arent what moat would call normal but..." He shrugged and looked back to her with a slight smile.

Garm scratched the back of his head and looked as Lani called out. He trudged his way through the snow towards her. "O-o-o-ok..."

Rin listened to the horrifying tale with a hand over her mouth as she tries not to whimper and cry. She shuttered as she let out a breathe, "That makes so many things so much more understandable. The way he worried about you in Dumerrin, the way he acted with my brother, how he's always looked out for us". She shook her head as she ran her hand through her wavy locks, "I can't imagine the pain". She watched Liam as he sat between De'sha's paws contentedly.

Fal'rien looked at Zess with a knowing smile and tapped her chin in thought, "It didn't perhaps have anything to do with a very large, very scary sea monster did it? If so I've heard plenty of it along with Bears womanly undergarments".

"I can see with your growing enthusiasm that you'd like the second but there's no way in all the seas that I'd wrestle a man as jagged as a shark, the size of a mountain, and as slippery as an eel" Dek smiled wickedly as he wagged his finger at Avian. He leaned against a parapet again, "Plus anything you catch usually doesn't have the sentience to purposefully kill you... most of the time".

Gavrielle gave the man a strange look, "I'm sure she'll settle down once a few drinks are in her. Besides, from what I've heard you two have gone at it before and turned out ok".

"What is normal for the hunter is chaos for the prey" Demarae replied as she too lifted her sights to the setting suns colors. It would soon be nightfall and the first stars started to twinkle in the sky, "Perhaps you and the new pack can help me understand the difference between enemies and friends". She smiled lightly back at Nick.

Lani smiled and ran out through what she assumed was a covered field until a crack boomed beneath her and she halted her running with rising confusion. She took another step forward and a large section gave way infront of her, plunging the frozen chunk into the fast moving waters a below. The roar of the rushing river was no longer muffled by the foot of snow that had concealed it and the rising realization that she had wandered into a thin ice field made her blood run cold. "G-GARM"!!! She shouted over the angry river as she heard the ice below split and shift beneath her feet.

Nianna nodded with every connection Rin made. She sighed heavily. "It was bad enough watching their pain from the veiw of an unrelated child, so I can only imagine s hat they were really feeling..." She followed Rins gaze to Liam and Desha. "When the boys come back, and they have to come back, I think we should show this to your brother. I dont think he would remember it since it was taken down shortly after... I think it could help mend their relationship some if it hasnt already done so. Maybe itll help him see that Taivil sees him as his brother and not just a cousiin."

Zess chuckled darkly. "Aye thad be te one... Oi, ye really tink e wears those frilly things?" it was difficult to tell if she was being serious in her question.

Avian snorted and smirked. "Size of a mountain? Perhaps you should measure again because youre definitely tally than je is." He raised a brow. "And the rest that arent the most?"

Bear shrugged and folded his arms across his chest. "Then maybe Ill join you in a little while but for now Im staying here. Unless she wants to apologize." there was an ever so slight teasing smirk on bears face that was gone in a moment.

"Does that make us the prey then cause its always chaos around us." Nick asked speculatively with a smile. He nodded with a grin. "You can count on it. Though usually you know an enemy for certain if theyre trying to stab you with a dagger or something."

Garm paused at the sound of the crack only to bolt towards Lani in attempt to rescue her as he realized what was going on. "Lani!"

"I think you're right" Rin wiped her nose and stood carefully with a more composed demeanor as she moved to stand beside her son and the girls, "If a war doesn't bring them closer together then this will. My brother has come a long way since we first met, but he is still a stubborn cuss when it counts. When everything is settled we bring them in here and lock the door if need be until they reconcile, if they haven't already".

"Who knows? From my experience the woman's garb is a lot more free flowing and comfortable than men's so it wouldn't surprise me" Fal'rien answered nonchalantly. She looked down to the basket in Zess hands, "Any other good looking goodies"?

Dek rolled his eyes with a growing smile, "Ok let me rephrase: A rhino that hits like a boulder to the face that's as filled with teeth as a great shark and as slippery as an eel... happy? Besides, I'm sure he's a mountain compared to you".

Gavrielle smiled sweetly with a cocked brow, "Uh huh, well I'm sure you know plenty of ways to twist someone's arm to get an apology out, but I don't think Nivallia is the sort to buckle that easily. Especially after that display". She took up the tray of mugs and pushed one over to Bear before turning to join the others.

Nivallia watched Gavi from a distance though didn't give Bear the light of day as she leaned forward to rest her arms on the table, "I never thought I'd need a drink so bad".

"Perhaps, and your superiors the hunters? Perhaps a shepherd and his sheep are a better likeness? Or maybe a pack like we've been saying all along"? Demarae chuckled. She shook her head and scoffed with a grin, "I need to know them before they attack, that is the advantage".

Lani felt the ice buckle and crack beneath her again and reached out toward Garm, "Careful! Care-FUL"! She screamed as her lower half fell through the ice and delved into the pitch black icy water. She scraped at the powdery snow with her gloves desperate to pull herself up even as the rapids pinned her legs under the ice. "Garm"! She pleaded on the verge of panicked tears as she reached for him.

Nianna nodded and turned her back to the painting after one last look. "Agreed... Theyll reconcile one way or another, though we may want to let Adiira in on the plan or we may have a very angry hormornal woman on our tails."

Zess laughed lightly before shugging. "Nothing really, jus te bread." She had hidden an even more special treat for her to share with Dek if she had managed to get him alone in the bottom of the basket.

Avian smirked in an amused manner. "Very and no. Hes more like a tree, youre like a cliff and Sigurn is the mountain."

"I do, but it means nothing if its not sincere. " Bear replied before shrugging and leaning back in his chair. "Exactly why Im staying here so things dont get ugly."

Wolf raised a brow and smirked. "Oh really? Just from that little spat?" He chuckled and shrugged.

"I would go with a pack. Its easier to understand, or at least it is for me. I know where i stand in the food chain." Nick added eith a nod.

Garm dropped to his belly as he got closer to Lani. He moved as quickly as he could and grabbed Lanis hands to pull her back up and away from the ice. "H-hold on!"

"That's the other problem is getting him away from her long enough to pull it off" Rin replied with a sigh as she went to drape the portrait with its dust cloth again. She shifted the other paintings one by one to where she had found them and called the girls as she turned to follow Nianna out. She gently took her sons hand as he reached up to her and led him out as well.

Fal'rien pursed her lips looking slightly disappointed at Zess description and sighed as she looked to Felsii, "What do you think dear? Should we press on and let the nice captain return to her crew"?

"Aye but to me you're a stump and Sigurn is a cliff" Dek retorted with a devilish smile. He rolled his shoulders and sighed contentedly before giving Avian a look, "Well you shared with me so why don't I share with you? Wanna hear how I got these scars"?

"Well thanks for being considerate, it's more than I can say for most men" Gavrielle grinned before walking off to the table and setting the tray amongst her friends, "There you are, drink up".

Nivallia swiped a mug and drained half of it before she wiped her mouth and glared back at Wolf, "If you were smarter you'd notice I'm not the one to let s*** get under my skin, but I guess I have to spell it out. I'm not expecting to come back from this s***, Wolfie, and I'm not going to tolerate a speech about how I'm wrong. So shut up and drink".

"I am the top predator in this territory. So you better watch out" Demarae chuckled and bumped Nick with a fiendish smile, "That was very humorous, yes"?

Lani grasped Garm's hand with both hands and growled as she tried to pull herself up again. She winced as a piece of ice cut her knee trying to scramble back onto the packed snow. She shoved herself away from the gaping hole and into Garm crying and gasping hysterically as she clung to him, her legs and back soaked through.

"What if she was in on it? Perhaps she came with us or she sent him with you to fetch an old painting she wanted on the wall?" Nianna suggested as she waited for Rin patiently.

Dagan had thoroughly fallen asleep in Rins arm with his head resting on her shoulder.

Felsii chuckled at the look on Falriens face. "You look so disappointed. Yes, unless the catpain wishes to join us?" She gave Zess a questioning look.

Zess shook her head with a chuckle. "Perhaps another time mi friends."

Avian huffed slightly at being called a stump before smirking. "That makes Mage a pebble... Alright. Its not like I have anything better to do."

"Dont mention it." Bear mumbled as he closed his eyes seemingly to fall asleep.

Sigurn had taken a swig of the ale with a thank you to Gavi, though he stopped abruptly at Nivallias words. His expression turned almost dark as he looked down at her. "Never make the worst possible outcome your goal. It only ends in disaster..." He took another drink and leaned back in his seat. "Youll wind up living with the guilt of someone elses death. Trust me on that lass." His tone had turned rough like someone who had gone to h*** and back.

Wolf huffed at Nivallia and watched Sigurn carefully as the man changed grim.

Nick blushed ever so slightly as he was bumped. He smiled and nodded in response. "It was... Oh! Thats the tavern I think..." He pointed towards a building a bit farther down the street.

Garm held Lani close, scooting them both back towards the trees and safety. Without a word he removed his coat and wrapped it around Lani, being careful of her cut knee, and rubbed to try and warm her up. "H-hey. Shhh. Its o-ok n-now. I g-got you. Your safe.... L-lani?" He gently cupped her cheek to make her look at him so she could see the sincerity in his eyes. "Its ok."

"It could work, and I don't think she'd have any objections to it, but there's only one way to find out" Rin replied with a smirk as Liam walked infront of her.

De'sha trotted out into the hallway panting happily as she nudged and stayed beside Liam every time he looked like he was about to fall.

"Then we shall see you back at the palace. I believe I remember seeing a certain first mate wandering the halls with a vintage wine in his hands too. Just as a warning" Fal'rien winked at Zess before glancing to Felsii again.

Dek chuckled and settled back into his awkward seat with a smile, "Well let's see where to begin... I used to be a fisherman with my father's small dingy. We made a living on the catch we brought in and sold at market. It was a hot sunny day and I had fallen asleep to the seas gentle rocking when I woke to find chaos onboard one of the most infamous ships of the Lorren seas".

Gavrielle slowly sat beside Nivallia and took a sip from her mug as she watched the two cautiously, "Hey guys, wasn't this supposed to be a fun time"?

Crucivander guzzled his mug and grumbled as he patted Gavi's arm, "Don worreh, sher. She gone be fine in tree, two, un...".

Nivallia finished off her mug and slammed it on the table, "What'd I just say, Sigurn?! What the f*** did I just say"?! She threw the goblet into the fire and banged her head on the table with a slew of curses and grumblings.

Demarae gasped and grabbed Nicks arm to drag him toward the older building, "Let's go! Let's go! They may have the spicy kick water"! She ran with the man behind her and a wide, fanged smile.

Lani looked up at Garm with wide eyes as hot tears rolled down her reddened cheeks. She took in a shaky breathe and nodded lightly before breaking into heavier tears as she clung to his chest for warm, promising comfort. "T-Thank you Garm... T-Thank you..." she mumbled as she tucked her frozen legs up under her and gradually calmed. She had a tight hold on his shirt and couldn't seem to get close enough as she shivered, "G-G-Garm...."?
