Dagan seemed unperturbed as Rin moved and just snuggled closer as she stopped.

Nianna nodded with a small smile as she looked up at the painting again. "It is. Even though hes only a child in the painting Kaisiin stil recognizes him..." She was silent for a moment. "You know, that wasnt the painting that was originally in that spot. The one I remember there first was different. Then the spot was empty for years until this one was made." She gently rubbed Kaisiins back as the cgild shifted in her sleep.

"I wouldnt mind a walk if youre up for it. It could be around here or in the city." Felsii replied softly, trying not to wake jer son as he stirred.

Avian nodded in answer to Deks question. "Youre correct... Well I wasnt an only child. Turns out I should have paid more attention as we got older. One night I was woken to a dagger getting ready to slice my neck, thats how I got this scar by the way, and ended up killing three assassin before they caught me and tied me to a chair. I fought against them the best I could and was so releaved to see my little brother, thinking he had come to help me. As it was he had hired the assassins and when they offered to take me in as one of their own he sold me. I was sixteen and he fifteen."

Bear had turned away as Nivi turned on her brother. Her shrugged away his fathers hand and walked past Wolf and Gavrielle without a word.

Wolf stiffled his snickering and nodded to Gavi. "I thjnk so too."

Nick cringed and blinked in surprise until he couldnt help bet let out a cautious heh. He nodded to Demarae with a slightly nervous smile.

Garm slumped against the snowball as Lani came over and nodded with a smile. He followed her to help lift the other one onto the one he had made.

Rin glanced from Nianna back up to the painting with the odd feeling that something was missing. "Do you remember why they had it taken down and replaced? What was on it"? She asked quizzically as she studied every familiar feature of her cousins face along with Treysin and the obviously loving and motherly woman beside him. She patted Dagan's back lightly as he snuggled up to her again.

"How about the city then? Its been a long while since we've been out and the condition of the capitol is a great reason to go looking around" Fal'rien suggested as she hushed her voice to a whisper. She headed out into the great hall and breathed easy as she found no one was there save for a few maids.

Dek was looking out to the capitol rooftops as Avian recounted his memories. He didn't look to the man as he wore an eerie mask, "Sorry, man. This younger brother of yours sounded like a real d***, but I find it safe to assume with your assassin-y skills you somehow got back at him, yeah? I mean I would've but if you've moved past it good on you".

Nivallia sat grasping and hunched over her now throbbing hand with heavy curses as she gasped from her sudden rage, "I never should've built it that strong".

Crucivander shook his head, no smile present on his scruffy cheeks, "Surprised yah din 'meber yah builded it soh tough". He snorted and took her arm again to gently push her after Bear toward Wolf and Gavrielle, "How bout dos dranks yeh"?

Gavrielle shook her head lightly and watched as Bear passed before leaning over to whisper to Wolf, "Is he going to be that scary for the rest of the night now"?

"Smart man. Now let us be off to join your littermate in whatever strange ritual a tarvarn is" Demarae offered Nick a hand, but not before she bent down to speak with her brother.

The sister spoke in her own tongue which made the sabers mane flatten from its standing position as he backed off of the man with a hissing snort. His tail twitched in irritation and the massive male turned and trotted back into camp toward what one could only assume was in the direction of Demarae and Nick's tent.

"Ok, we go on three. Ready? One, two, THREE"! Lani instructed with a growl as she tried to lift her side of the giant snowball.

Nianna nodded in answer to Rins questions. "I remember but itd be easier to explain if you saw it." She craftily stood without even waking Kaisiin and left their book on the ground to come back for later. "I think I know where they hid it."

Felsii nodded with a smile and followed her out into the great hall.

Avian nodded with a sigh and glared out at the streets. "About a year ago I killed him and reclaimed what was mine." He twisted the amulet in his fingers again."still it was my little brother. The worst part of it all was when I went to my father after years of being held prisoner he didnt even recognize me. He said his Mikkel was dead and the I was just an imposter."

Sigurn chuckled and watched the group with his hands on his hip. "I wont say no ta that My friend."

Wolf snickered more so and nodded with a smirk. "Likely or maybe the rest of the week."

Nick accepted Demaraes hand with a smile. He watched Floofenhox leave and nodded. "Taverns are fun actually. Theres drinking and song and often good food."

Garm nodded to lanis suggestion. He grunted as he helped lift the ball of snow on the three.

"I'm not going to lie, i have a strange feeling about this" Rin gathered Dagan in her arms and used her weight against the wall to push herself to her feet. She whistled softly to De'sha and the hound rolled onto her paws to gently ease Liam onto his feet as well. The toddler clung to De'sha's fur to steady himself and followed her looking around confused as everyone shifted.

Fal'rien handed off her scrolls to a servant who walked away with orders to give the papers to Ii'ander as soon as possible. She turned back to Felsii, "So then, where would you like to go and do you need to prepare little prince"?

"You were a changed man sure, but maybe he was just going senile" Dek suggested finally turning back to look at Avian as he twirled his amulet, "That's one h*** of a fight to go through for a necklace".

"Den les get goin, cap"! Crucivander cracked a wild smile and returned to his ordinary fun loving self as he took his sisters arm and led her forward even as she glared at him.

"Great, with him p***** who's supposed to keep the commander steady"? Gavrielle mumbled before she rolled her eyes and took Nivallia's throbbing hand to examine with a smirk as the shorter woman calmed.

"Food sounds nice, I hope they have boar. It is my favorite of all the game" Demarae replied somewhere between hesitancy and excitement as she looked toward the village. She motioned for Nick to take the lead, "River water is very refreshing too, but how do they get it back here to drink with the snow covering the river"?

Lani practically threw the snowball onto the first larger piece before rolling another smaller one, "He needs a head doesn't he? Will you spot me whike I put it on"?

Nianna smiled at Rin and there almost seemed to be a sadness to it. "Theres probably a good reason for that." She waited momentarily as Rin got up and Desha herded Liam before heading down the hallway. It wasnt very far before she turned into a room that seemed to be for storage. Against the walls were dozens of old paintings covered with cloths to keep the dust off. "Should be in here somewhere.

Degger had popped up and followed after the other, yawning lazily.

Jasnah stood and followed Rin without hesitation, shiva trailing along behind her

Dagan snuggled into Rins arms as she stood and restedbhis head against her shoulder, sucking his thumb.

"Aidien should be fine. Hes got his blanket and is sound asleep. As for place we can just wander and see where our feet take us?" Felsii answered as she wrapped the blanket a little more snuggly around Aidien.

Avian shook his head. "My father wasnt going senile. His mind is sharper than mine. He was just ashamed of what I had become and there was no room in his heart for a son that had become what I am. Honor less is what he called it." He looked to Dek, his eyes cold and calculating. "Its not just a necklace. Its a family heirloom. A mark of who I am... Was... It was mine to begin with."

Sigurn chuckled and nodded. He followed after Crucivander and Nivallia.

"Eh, theyll even each other out. Trust me on that. Ive lived with the a**** before." Wolf replied with a smirk.

Nick nodded. He took the lead, though he didnt remain more than a few paces ahead. He chuckled slightly and looked to Demarae. "Not river water. Its different and it packs a kick."

Garm inspected their progress as Lani made the third ball. He grinned and nodded in answer to Lanis question. "B-b-be c-c-caref-ful t-th-though."

Rin stepped into the dusty room with a sort of wonder about her as she looked at the stacks of paintings leaning on all four walls. She had a good hold on Dagan as she began to partially lift cloths off of their portraits, "Is it similar to the other one"?

De'sha padded behind Rin going at Liam's pace and constantly watching him as he wobbled on his shaky legs. She stopped infront of the doorway and gently took Liam by the scruff of his nappy to more easily enter the room.

"So be it then" Fal'rien chuckled and patted her leg, looking down at her feet as she spoke again, "Alright feet, lead the way". She headed for the main gate wrapping her shawl a little tighter around her shoulders.

"So wait, wait... your father disowned you for forcibly being abducted and sold into a guild by your younger brother? And he never said anything about the little f*** that started it"? Dek now had his arms folded across his chest as if he were partially annoyed.

Kalten jerked upright with a gasp as soon as he was sure the others had left for good. He huffed as he tried to catch his breathe again from breathing through a hole, "D*** it Naviren! I meant hide me with the shadows"! He didn't seem to care if he was heard or not as he got up and brushed off the remaining snow.

Diebin popped out with a bark and shook out his fur. The little stoat was jittery from having to stay still for so long.

Crucivander waddled along turning to look at every building until the tavern sign caught his attention as it swung in the breeze, "Her we go. Som goo' ole foods an drank tah seddle e'erytin".

Nivallia continued to grumble as she was dragged and her hand was dropped to swing beside her again.

"Oh you poor man, having to deal with both at once would surely drive anyone to the edge of insanity" Gavrielle patted Wolf's shoulder sarcastically and chuckled as Nivi gave her a look. "I'm parched, let's get some good drafts before we have to hit the bunks again".

"But how can a drink kick if it has no legs to do so"? Demarae asked a little distracted as she moved to walk closer to Nick. The village obviously made her uncomfortable and she stayed overly close to the man as her skittish gaze dared around.

Lani held the snow man's head under one arm as she scaled the giant snowman with the other. She placed the final ball atop the body and smiled as she pushed off into a freefall.

Nianna nodded as she too began to search through the paintings. "Its very similar. It still has Treysin, Taivil and Caiah in it, though I think Caiah was sitting down, and Taivil was a lot younger."

Jasnah sat at the door, watching Rin and Nianna as they searched for the painting.

Degger padded around the room sniffing. He snuck his head under on of the tarps only to back up and sneeze several times.

Felsii followed alongside Falrien with a light smile. She hummed softly as she walked, making sure Aidien remained asleep.

"He thinks I left on my own accord and had come back regretting my decision. He thought me a traitor... That too was my brothers doing. He took advantage of our fathers grief and used it against me " Avian replied back. "It was never my fathers fault and though it hurt I cant blame him."

Fallen slowly appeared behind Kalten. "He couldnt have used the shadows to hide you. Bear and Sigurn would have seen them."

Sigurn smirked at the sign. "Looks cozy."

"You dont know the half of it." Wolf replied back seriously. "Try having them and an overbearing older brother whod just as soon kick your arse as he would give you a hug."

"Its a figure of speech." Nick tried to explain. He seemed at ease in the village steets and was happy to act as a barrier for Demarae. "Like if you eat something sour or spicy. Thats considered a kick. Its strong in flavor."

Garm watched lani carefully as she scaled the snowman. He kept his arms wide to catch her as she fell back.

Rin gingerly maneuvered the pieces with the only arm she could before two bright red eyes caught her attention afer some time of searching. She pushed the others aside before ripping off the cloth that had hidden the painting, "Is this it, sisian"?

De'sha sat with Liam between her two front paws as she watched her master diligently. She didn't mind that Liam was pulling her chest fur still and continued to stand watch over him.

Fal'rien walked at a leisurely pace out the front gate and into the city with a soft smile as she looked through the windows of certain shops. She caught scent of something and smiled wider, "It appears the market is still going".

"Sorry to say but your family was a load of a*******, mate" Dek shook his head with a deep frown, "Though I'd think with that much crap going on you and your crew would look on the brighter side of things out of habit".

"But what I'm getting at is was the electrocution really necessary? A quick 'hide in the snow' would've done the same thing" Kalten questioned as he stroked Diebin's white fur down again, not at all surprised to hear Fallen's voice.

"Som oh dah bes uns usually is" Crucivander grinned as he lead the group inside where only a few hunters and townsfolk were present. A bright fire burned in the stone fireplace across from the bar and a woman waved them in, partially indifferent as she spoke to another patron. Stuffed trophies adorned the walls giving the place a wilder feel.

"I do have an older brother, but the a** kicking and surprise hugging is left to me" Gavrielle remarked as she followed the twins into the place, "Hey this is pretty nice for the middle of nowhere".

"Does spicy taste like stag? Or is sour more of a fish taste"? Demarae asked with a bewildered grin. She finally brightened up as she understood what he meant, "Ah the flavor! Yes, yes I understand that... so there is sour, spicy, and kick flavored things"?

Lani landed in Garm's arms and giggled lightly as she felt her breathe catch after locking her gaze with his green eyes, "Uh, erm, d-did we want to give him a face"?

Nianna glanced over to Rin and had to take a second look before she nodded. "Thats the one..." She came over to look at the painting with Rin. "Taivil was five when this was made... He still looks snarky even then."

The painting portrayed the three once again. Taivil standing infront of his father and next to a seated Caiah. However something was clearly different in the image and it wasnt that Taivil was younger or that his mother was sitting, but rather the fact that she was clearly expecting.

Felsii took in a deep breath and grinned. "It wiuld seem so. Thats good. It means that even with so many gone commerce continues to thrive."

Zess was walking towarss the two noble women carrying a small basket with what appeared to be fresh breads in it.

Avian shrugged and then snorted. "You might think that, but at most were allowed to think the glass is half full of poison."

"It got you to freeze didnt it? Otherwise something else couldve happened." Fallen replied. He seemed overly amused at the wgole situation.

Sigurn had to duck when entering through the door he looked around and smirked.

Bear had already moved off away from the group

"Heh well youre the exception then... Its probably on one of the main roads for travel or something." Wolf added taking a look around.

Nick nodded slightly. "Well theres all sorts of flavor so its hard to explain unless you experience it. Theres also all sorts of flavors like sweet and fresh and fruity and nutty."

Garms breath caught as he looked down at Lani with a soft smile. He lightly gasped for breath before nodded almost shyly. He slowly let Lanis feet touch the ground.

"It's one of his defining features" Rin replied flatly with a smirk. She knelt and gently passed a feather light touch over her cousins portrait, "He looked so happy". Her attention wandered to the image of Treysin before ahifting to Caiah to which she sombered quickly, "No... no, no, this can't be right. Tai'vil is an... an only child". She brushed her fingers over the woman's belly as if the truth was beginning to weigh on her shoulders.

"Even though some don't see to think so" Fal'rien muttered with an amused grin. She easily spotted Zess coming toward them and lifted a hand in greeting, "How fairs the market captain"?

Dek shook his head and surprisingly gave Avian a smile, "You and your mates should come fishing with me and the Cap'n in Par Lor when all this is done. Sun, sand, monsters with teeth, it'll be a blast and show you all how to have fun again".

Kalten gave Fallen a flat look along with one very lude gesture as he moved in the opposite direction of the others, "And a throbbing headache to boot. I still have to get some supplies, wanna come"?

"Exception indeed. Well we're here, lets have some fun already" Gavrielle chuckled and dragged the twins to a table nearer the fire. She sat them down with orders not to move as she turned to the bar for drinks.

Demarae grabbed Nicks arm and shook it slightly as she became more excited, "I know of those tastes! Will the drinks be flavored as such with a spicy kick"? She ducked behind him as a few villagers passed by, watching them wearily.

Lani chuckled softly as she was eased onto her feet, "Thanks... uh, let's try to find some sticks for his arms". She patted his shoulder and wandered toward the forest edge looking sheepish as she messed with her braid.
