Nianna smiled softly and waved at Rin. "Hello Sisian. " She chuckled softly at Liam and reached out on arm to let him use it for balance if he wanted. "How are you three today?" She looked back up to Rin.

Degger wagged his tail at Desha in response.

Jasnah sat at Rins side watching the others silently, still diligent in her orders to protect Rin and Liam.

Felsii nodded with everything Falrien said. "Even then... War is a game of life and death. Survival of the fittest just as life is the same..." she half smiled and nodded. "Of course... It seems there are many like that in this family."

"Ah... She sounds unpleasant though that sight would have been amusing." Avian replied. He slowly shook his head with a sigh. "We are guests here at most. The five of us that remain from Alenthia could even be considered willing prisoners. Home doesnt exsist for us for our home was more deadly than we are. We are the outcasts and the lowest if life forms... Maybe someday we ciuld call this home, or at least Ayrian could, but right now I have no home." He had grabbed his amulet as he spoke and twisted it in his fingers absently.

Bear and the two companions looked to Crucivander as he called to them. It was bear who spoke, "no. Wolf wont quit whineing and its slowing us down."

Pallon grabbed Duallens arm before he could get too dar away and pulled him into a crushing hug. "Thank you Duallen, and you know for a fact that you will have quite the welcome waiting for you too. Im sure shes thinking of you as much as you are thinking of her."

Nick nodded, the sadness in his eyes clear. He looked to Demarae. "Really? I mean... I..." He stopped talking as his tongue started to tie.

Wolgarr shouted in anger though he didnt pursue as he opened the flap.

Garm had come around to stand behind Lani and was smirking at his brother until lani turned tail to run

"I don't want to jinx anything but I'd say this day is starting out to be a rather relaxing one. Liam played hide and seek with mommy and the girls. And what of you dear? It looks like Kaisiin is beyond content" Rin asked with a gentle smile as she watched her son.

Liam took Nianna's arm and hugged it above his head for balance as he continued to giggle and bounce on his shaky legs.

De'sha sat against the wall watching Liam and rolled to itch her back as she panted and groaned happily.

"Then its a good thing they have each other" Fal'rien stood upright with a soft hiss and a few cracking bones before smiling at Felsii, "It's what makes our family great most days. Other times it's what makes us a little deranged".

"To you and me both" Dek replied under his breathe before tipping the empty wine bottle upside down in disappointment having forgotten that it was empty. He twisted to look at Avian with a strangely serious gaze, "D*** man, I thought I had it rough id offer your some wine if it wasn't empty. Also join the club on that little mark of lowest of the low, though it looks like you've got plenty of friends here too".

Kalten's muscles had finally relaxed and he poked a hole through the blanket of snow to breathe more easily and watch the group. He didn't move, and ordered Diebin to do the same.

Crucivander chuckled, "Daaaw cap, yous wanna com wif us? We's just splorin dah village". He smiled behind his goggles which were being used as snow blinds and wind guards.

Nivallia grinned, "Sure why not. Two insane nuts aughta liven up this village. We should look for a tavern if this is the only time we can have some fun before commander has our a**** again".

Duällen froze at suddenly being so close to his brother-in-law. He was stuck between the urge to vomit and knee Pallon and the disturbing sensation of overwhelming comfort the embrace provided. He grumbled and returned the gesture with a sigh, "You're welcome commander... we'll both be seeing them in no time".

"Didn't you ever woder why I was so upset when we lost my pack? We were trying to survive for the longest we could with the protection of my mother. I have found many of my brothers and sisters frozen, starved, or killed by other cats because they wouldn't back down to our father" Demarae muttered and rubbed Floofenhox side.

Lani was laughing up to the point she ran into Garm where she screamed and fell into the snow still laughing and brushing her braid aside from her face.

Nianna chuckled softly and nodded. "So I could hear... Kaisiin and I read a story before she decided to take a nap, although she was already pretty sleepy after lunch." She smiled at Liam as he bounced. "Are you having fun little cub?"

Felsii chuckled softly and nodded before giving falrien a concerned look. "Are you ok?"

Avian shrugged lightly. "I dont think Id have taken you up on it even if you had some to offer. Too many bad memories that itd remind me of... Heh, your first mate on a pirate ship called the Gatekeeper, whos captian is the sister of one of the council members. I dont think thats the lowest of the low... As for friends. How many do you think really trust an assassin from one of the guilds? Especially one that wasnt born to them?"

Bear shoved wolf towards them. "Please for the love of the gods just take him." He smirked as wolf gave him a look. "And no one beleived us when we told them he was an arse. Though he is just missing his wife and son so give him some slack."

As quickly as the hug had began Pallon was pushing Duallen away from him and turning back to his work on grooming Falcon. "We will... Dont tell anyone what just happened. Got it?" He shot Duallen a look over his shoulder.

"Well yeah, but I assumed it was because they were your family..." Nick answered. He watched Demarae with understanding as she explained. He placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled softly. "Well now you have us to call your family. We may fight sometimes but were still a family and we wont abandon each other ever."

Garm fell with Lani as he tried to stop her fall. He laughed as well as he laid flat in the snow. "Y-y-you ok?"

"Mmm if only Liam had that same reaction. Any food given is immediately turned to spunky energy for playtime" Rin replied, chuckling at her son. "I don't think he knows how to do anything other than honestly" She came to sit on the floor a few feet from her friend and son.

Liam looked up at Nianna with a fanged smile as she spoke to him and continued to giggle while he stretched his legs. He let out a little coo everytime he popped back onto his feet.

Fal'rien chuckled as she waved Felsii off, "What did you think getting old was easy? Yes, dear, I'm fine. My medicine just hasn't kicked in fully yet".

"It wasn't always like that, man" Dek admitted with a slightly distant smirk as he looked out to the city. His pink eyes looked as if they were trying to recall something before they snapped back to Avian again, "Have any of them tried to kill you like I'm betting your hive tried to? No one's going after your baby girl or any of the others. Bears an assassin and he's doing just fine from what I can see. Can't you give the others a chance lIke they gave you"?

"I'll give him some slack when that mark on your cheek fades away and stays away" Nivallia huffed before grumbling as Gavrielle shoved her lightly.

"There isn't any greater pain than missing your family, Nivi. You should know that from what I've heard about your parents" Gavrielle retorted.

Crucivander frowned deeply at the mention of their parents before pushing the sadness aside as he took Wolf's arm, "Com' on, woof. We's gos som splorin tah do an iffin we's lucky we gon fine sumtin good".

"I'd sooner die believe me. You won't get a word unless Vio'rin and the others just witnessed the whole heartwarming scene" Duällen snarked half heartedly with a knowing smirk. "Until our next talk, commander, or your next meltdown. Whichever comes first" He turned and walked away back into the rows of tents.

Demarae watched the snow infront of her silently for some time before placing a splayed hand into the white flakes and making a handprint. "As you say," She began softly, bringing her chilled fingers to wrap around Nicks, "You are my family now. So I will protect you as such".

"Depends, is your brother going to kill me for that dirty trick of yours"? Lani giggled between her gasped breathes. She turned onto her side to watch her friend and smiled, "Want to make a snowman"?

Nianna chuckled softly. "Well at least it keeps him happy and enjoying his day. Its also adorable to watch." She smiled back at Liam and mussed hus hair.

Jasnah curled up beside Rin, leaning against her back and silently watching everyone.

Dagan, escaping from the tortures of Degger, walked over to Rin and dropped to gis hands and knees before sitting and watching her.

"Of course not, but it never hurts to ask." Felsii replied with a soft smile. She noddded and went over to where her son still slept.

"Well we all get our starts from somewhere. Some move up and others move down."Avian replied, not letting his gaze leave the city. "Yes. One more than once actually. Bear is different. He was born to the guild, not to mention his mentor and the rest of what makes us different. I can certainly try but its not as easy to trust after your own flesh and blood sells you to a life you didnt want."

Bear scowled at Nivi. "Dont judge him on what you dont know Nivallia. Pallon suffers from night terrors. Vivid ones that no one should have to go through. Imagine watching someone you love die repeatedly and gruesomely and not being able to fight back or help. It tends to leave a mark, physical and mantal marks."

Wolf huffed before nodding to crucivander and following

Pallon nodded in response to Duallen and continued his task of grooming.

Nick gently squeezed her hand as wrapped her fingers around his hand. He smiled ever so softly, his cheeks and node having grown rosy from the cold. "Exactly and I will protect you as the same... Unless, you know... You still think im a weakling." He smirked ever so slightly and thankful for that cold as his blush couldnt be seen

"I-i-i d-d-dont t-t-think s-so." Garm answered with a grin. He nodded eagerly in answer to Lanis second question and stood, offering her his hand to help her up.

"Maybe we should call him little monkey instead of little cub" Rin chuckled as she scratched Jasnah's side and leaned back on her lightly. She smiled as she watched her son play, oblivious to anything other than Nianna, and turned her warm gaze on Dagan, "Are you looking for a seat, sweetheart"?

Liam squealed as his hair was messed with and sat still hugging the woman's hand with a fanged smile. He rolled onto his back and held her hand out to examine, splaying her fingers between his two hands.

De'sha came over and laid beside Liam with a huff and a groan as she yawned tiredly.

"Never" Fal'rien agreed as she smiled, successfully cracking the rest of her back and sighing whistfully, "Any more audiences or lesson learning for today"?

"Of course he's different, he slugged me one good the first time we met. Can't help but respect him for doing something not many others would though" Dek chuckled once "Yet another reason I was so happy to be an only child and got the h*** out of dodge before my parents could ship me off to gods know where". He spied the amulet and motioned the wine bottle toward Avian, "That have anything to do with it"?

"Calm your girly trousers, sunshine! By the end of this we'll probably all be just like him anyway"! Nivallia shot back with a snort as she put her hands on her hips and watched Bear with a cold stare.

Crucivander stopped as he heard his sisters voice rise behind him. He released Wolf and went to stand beside her, grabbing her arm in the process with a show of force as his metal fingers held her firmly, "Nivi, dis ain't werf figh'in ovah".

Gavrielle looked between Nivallia and Bear almost expecting a fight before Crucivander surprised her with his interference. She went to go stand beside Wolf and out of the way, "I don't think I've seen Nivallia so defensive before".

Demarae laughed lightly, exposing her fangs, "I do, but I also see you have much potential to learn and grow. I will keep my eye on you for shows of strength. Perhaps I will find myself surprised". She reclaimed her fingers from Nicks after realizing she was still interlaced with his and scratched Floofenhox head as he watched Nick with a fierce gaze.

"Good" Lani happily accepted Garm's hand and hoisted herself up onto her feet again. She brushed off the snow before crouching to gather a small ball of it, "Then let's get to it then".

Nianna continued to smile and started to lightly tickle Liam as he spread her fingers. "But calling him little cub is so much cuter." She looked over to Rin and her gaze seemed to drift past her friend after a moment to rest on the wall behind her.

Dagan gave the slightest bit of a pout and nodded, still looking up at Rin.

Jasnah groaned happily and looked up at Rin as she was scratched, before laying flat again.

Degger flopped back down beside Nianna, resting his head on her thigh with a content and drowzy look.

Felsii chuckled softly. She shook her head and scooped up Aidien and his blanket cacoon. "Not unless you have something to add or theres an emergency."

Avian half chuckled and mumbled under his breath "crazy b******." He stiffened at the mention of the amulet and clutched it firmly in his fist. "Yeah... Its kinda a long story that I dont tell people..." He glanced to Dek, his eyes having turned almost deadly. "Ill only share it with you if you promise not to tell a soul."

Bear glowered down at Nivi. He wasnt about to back down to her not even as Crucivander came over. "Not necessarily." He nearly threw Sigurn over his shoulder as his father placed a hand on his shoulder.

Sigurn smiled, seeming oblivious to what almost happened. "Oi, why dont we all go get those drinks our horned friend was talking about?"

Wolf smirked and nodded. "I think Ive seen it a couple of times. Like the first time she met mage. They were at each others throats. It was pretty funny."

Nick half smirked and nodded. "Then Ill juzt have to prove myself." He was unperturbed as Demarae took her hand back. He seemed not to care or even notice Floofenhox gaze. "You know I think some of the others wrre planning on going to the local tavern. Do you want to come?"

Garm smiled and nodded, making another ball of snow to make part if the snowman.

Liam squealed and squirmed on the floor rolling onto his stomach as he tried to wiggle away from his tormentor.

"Well we can fix that easy" Rin leaned forward to scoop up Dagan with a smile then placed him in her lap, "There you go tiny assassin, one soft and warm seat". She tossed his hair lightly and hugged him then glanced to Nianna before following her gaze upward, "Whatcha lookin at"?

"None in the slightest, dear. I was just going to suggest a break to get your mind at ease from the stresses of stupid nobles" Fal'rien smiled warmly as she watched the pair and scooped up the neatly tied scrolls from the desk.

Dek sat in the space between two parapets and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees, "Then its a good thing I've got nothing but time and after that look I think its best if this is one story I keep away from the bilge tables". He smirked, "Don't worry, if I slip you can push me over one of these".

Nivallia scowled back at Bear, her bracelets beginning to glow brightly under her jacket as she cracked her fingers one by one and ripped her arm from her brothers grip. She appeared to be growing steadily angrier the longer the assassin stared her down.

Crucivander snorted and his voice was deep as he snapped in Dumerrin, causing even his sister to flinch, "Nivallia Arg'ish'el move your sorry a** before I kick it to the tavern! You need those gems for the war, not your friend"!

"I bet but they seem to get along now" Gavrielle chuckled before jumping at Crucivander's threatening tone, "D*** I didn't know he could do that either... what'd he say"?

"Tev- tarvarn"? Demarae looked at Nick as if he were making up words then blanched slightly, "You mean into the village"? She looked dwn at her brother then back to the camp, "I-.... I want to learn your people's ways, so if it should help then I will go and leave Floof in camp".

Lani rolled the small ball she had into one that she could barely move as it stopped a few feet off. She started to smooth the ball of its rough edges and giggled watching Garm.

Nianna chuckled and stopped tormenting Liam as he wiggled away. Her gaze flicked from the old painting to Rin with a slight apologetic look. "Oh, sorry. I didnt mean to get distracted... Kaisiin and I sat here because of that painting."

The painting held three people within it. One was a man that looked very much like taivil though his eyes were pure red and he seemed older. The second was a woman, who was leaning against the man, one arm wrapped around the third person in the painting, that being a young ten year old version of Taivil who grinned mischeviously

Dagan smiled and leaned back against Rin. He fussed a little as she tossed his hair, but otherwise seemed content enough to start drifting ofd to sleep.

Felsii smiled thankfully. "Well youre sweet to suggest such a thing... Question is what should we do with this time?"

Avian seemed reluctant before nodded with Deks offer to push him over the edge of the wall. "Alright... Where to begin?" He was silent for a moment as he thought. "My name wasnt always Avian. That was given to me when I was taken into the guild... I was once Mikkel Striger. The first born son of a middle of the line noble family. We were well known enough for being feirce warriors but not enough to have a large weight when in consideration to the thrones descision."

Bears expression didnt change even as Crucivander spoke. He let fourth a low griwl like noise as he crossed his arms defiantly. He didnt even move at Crucivanders sudden harshness.

Wolf jumped slightly and looked to Gavrielle with a shrug. "Nit really sure. i dont speak Dumerrin. At least I think thats the language he used "

Nick nodded in answer to Demaraes question and smiled slightly. "I think it will help. At the very least itll help all of us get to understand each other better, and Im sure floof will be fine in camp. You can trust us ".

Garm was trying to continued to roll a giant ball of snow though it wasnt gettin very far now that it was picking up dirt as well.

Liam crawled over to De'sha and leaned on her side as she let out a long content sigh and wagged her tail slightly. He cooed happily and snuggled against her brown and white fur.

Rin gently scooted to sit at Nianna's feet and get a better view of the painting while also trying not to disturb the drowsy toddler in her lap. She looked up in slight disbelief as a smile crept onto her lips, "That's Treysin and his wife... and Tai'vil".

"Well depending on whether you still wish to have my company, we could go for a walk around the grounds, maybe do a little window shopping in the city, read, there's a long list that depends on your preferences" Fal'rien smirked as she glid towards the door.

"And I suppose if I call you your real name I'll either have a dagger in my throat or you'll flat out say something cliche like 'he's dead' or something" Dek replied as she shifted to sit sideways and looked to Avian, "Ok, you had a fair beginning on life, go on I'm intrigued".

Nivallia's expression morphed as her temper flared and she snarled as she moved to attack not Bear, but her brother. She spat at him in Dumerrin as she argued with him.

Crucivander ducked and dodged with expert precision away from his sisters strikes as he barked back at her in Dumerrin still. He lifted his metal arm to block a blow and made his sister yelp and swear horribly as her hand hit the hard brittle metal, "Yous gos yoh frows out, now yous don"?

"I think I understood the meaning of that last word" Gavrielle flinched as she wrung her own hand after witnessing Nivallia's injury, "Oh that has to hurt".

Floofenhox roared as Nick said his nickname and jumped over his sister to tackle the young soldier with a hiss. He stared down the man with his killer fangs mere inches from his face.

Demarae got to her feet and went to lean on her brothers shoulder with a sly grin, "Then count that as one of the things to learn. Nobody calls him that but me, either because they know better or they do not get the second chance. Dont worry though, I will tell him you are to be trusted".

Lani laughed again and jogged over to Garm to help him, "Here, we can leave this one and carry the other over, come help me".
