(One On One Roleplay: Forbidden Truth & Simply Emotional)

"Light-kun is lying again," L said.

[Simply Emotional]

Light shook his head, "Sometimes lying...is better for the other person's soul rather than the truth. It may be fabricated, but it sooths the worry."

"It doesn't help me," L said. "At all."

[Simply Emotional]

"But it helps me." Light said softly, then was silent once again.

[~Forbidden Truth~]

"Light-kun...is a good kid," L said, a little surprised by how honest his voice sounded. He had meant to lie to make Light feel better, or at least to get him to cooperate more, but he almost thought that what he said was true.

[Simply Emotional]

Light's eyes widened, and stared at the ceiling with a surprised expression. "You really mean that?"

L spoke before he really understood what he was saying. "Yes, I do," he said, surprising himself.

[Simply Emotional]

(Nods)

Light smiled a soft smile, "Thank you." He'd never heard that from anyone, never in this life or in his past life.
