Light peered over at him from over his knees, and then looked down. "Are you lying?" He asked hesitantly. Though this was Light, his was still a child, an inoccent child that had no memories of the Death Note or his past life. He just wanted to trust someone, and L was the person he was around most at that point.

L thought for a moment, thinking through all the memories of him and Light. "Yes," he said finally.

"I thought so." Light looked down. So, they weren't friends at all. He curled up, "Am I allowed to go back to Wammy's?" He asked softly.
