He hesitated, then took it in his left hand. It was only 5pounds heavier but it made all the difference. His muscles felt like they were burning as he began to lift his arm up and down, holding it, wincing with each movement.

He stopped after a moment and sat down on her bed, staring dejectedly at his feet.
"Why is that hard?"
He mumbled
"It isn't even heavy ... I just... I can't"

She wrapped her arms around him, "You'll get stronger.."

He looked up at her and smiled softly.
"I hope so"

"Well I know so." She gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek

"It's going to take a while isn't it?"

"It might." She nodded, "But you will."

"Then we should get working"
He said with a soft smile, getting to his feet again.
