Griffon lay on the palette of blankets for him and muttered 'I sure will be glad to have a real bed instead of the floor' he said and thought "Well home… it's not like any place you have been before… it's between the bay and the church… it is along a to a with the tallest oak trees and there is a orchard where in the spring you can climb the trees and eat the fruit…" he sighed at the memories of him long with Gavina and their friends "There is a huge iron gate leading down a path towards our house the front of the orchard is lined with a fence not so short that you can see over but not so tall you can't climb… the house is wonderful it is not a house but not a castle… father took such great pride in making sure our house and stables we're take care of and mother grew the most beautiful gardens around our house… behind the house is a large field with two barns one for the horses and one for our cattle, pigs, and sheep" he closed his eyes picturing it all as it was when they were little "Mother was such a beautiful rider and wonderful teacher she took us out of the field to the trees and we rode through the trees as fast as we could to te church to see preacher William he was mother's dad and he was always kind to us…" he smiled his eyes still closed "then we would return home Gavina, Violet, Cole, an I sometimes even Eli would join us on our rides… we would sneak into the kitchen miss Nellie always had sweets for us… the stairs was up to a long hallway lined with doors many were bedrooms and at the end were the study and the library…" he laughed but tears had managed to escape his eyelids to the corners of hi eyes "Mother had all of the instruments in the downstairs sitting room she had the most beautiful voice… we all learned to play or sing… home is wonderful you will love it… Father raised the most well trained hounds and mother always had a love for elk hounds and horses…" he laughed and opened his eyes and wiped his face and sat up "Mother always knew just which horse would win the races and which horses would produce the most profitable, strongest, fastest, smartest offspring" he sighed and kissed Maya's head and pulled the covers over the girls "You will see soon enough"
