Princess Isolde / Kar
Sol went with her sister back to the castle with as much calm as she could muster. She wanted to seem collected and prepared because she thought it would help Serena keep her cool as well as their father. In times like these it was always easier for Sol to focus on others instead of trying to deal with the riot going on in her head.
When they got to the castle, Isolde was shocked to find servants running around searching for them.
"My ladies," a maid said to Sol and Serena, "Princesses, please, come this way! We must get you changed and back in the main hall!"
"Why, what has happened?" Sol asked quickly.
"The Moran king, my lady, he's here!"
Sol nearly swooned. Here?! How could he be here? They'd only JUST received his letter! He must have left only days after the letter was sent. She looked at Serena as she started rushing to her rooms to change into something more presentable than riding gear.
Prince Sebastian / Mora
When Sebastian finally brought Taura back to the concert hall, the two of them had rosy cheeks and peasant-standard alcohol in their hands. He had his arm lazily draped over her narrow shoulders, and she wrapped hers around his waist.
"Brother!" Bash called, already mildly intoxicated. "Come, brother, drink with me! To the gods!" He laughed as Taura pushed one of the buttons of his shirt into his belly. He looked around at the few noble people- most of them ladies- who had shown up to this gathering of all classes. "Taura, fetch me a goblet of wine, will you? This concoction has gone straight to my head."
As she scurried to do as he asked, he turned to look at Airen. "Brother."
Arabella / Tusks
She smiled and found herself unable to hide it as Nic spoke. "I quite enjoy your appreciation for animals," she said. "It's something not many around here can fully share or appreciate." She looked down and sighed. "As for your question, though... What Brock would do?" She sighed and fiddled with her scarf, subconsciously running her hands up the tails to make sure it was still wrapped tightly around her neck. "He fights dogs, he thinks they're all stupid, brutal mutts. If he catches my boy in here, he'd quite likely take him and use him as bait," she said sadly. "Brock dislikes children, too," she added.
Cole / Tuskan docks
Listening to her speech, Cole kind of wanted to laugh- or kiss her. She was completely right, which he wouldn't even try to disagree with, but despite her pointing out his flaws he found her spice enticing. "Dear lady, I find myself unable to disagree with you," he said, shaking his head. "I've put you in quite a spot- and mistreated you grievously. I hope it is only your pride I have wounded by my actions. My only explanation- my only attempt to earn your forgiveness- is that had I not done as I had, I would be bloodied and quite likely on my way to a painful demise by now." He took her hand in his. "You've saved a life today." He kissed her cheek. "I'm indebted to you, truly." He started to back up farther into the narrow space, kicking a box out of his way. There was a passage behind him, if he moved a few crates out of the way, that lead under the building behind him and then to the other side of the pier. "Dearest, kindest, most radiant creature, might I humbly request the return of my belongings?" He was really laying it on thick, but he meant no disrespect nor harm by his sarcasm. Simply put, he couldn't resist his entertaining side, even though the general idea of what he was saying was true. He just wanted to make her smile. He always wanted to make people smile.
