Pallon laughed throatily. "Well I wasnt going to let him attack you, especially not after I knew you were expecting. It was bad enough when the Chimera attacked."

Amelia now had her face hidden against Tovheirs chest as she laughed so hard her face was turning red and crying.

Tovheir suffered his humility, torn between smiling at Amelias laughter and being flustered at the story. He wrapped his arms around Amelia to keep her from falling over as she couldnt contain herself.

Sigurn nodded. "That is likely. Not all of our family can see the shadows, Cass being among them."

Bear gently ruffled Kaltens hair with a sigh and a slight smile.

Rin waved her hands in the air and coughed through her laughter as her eyes grew bright with excitement, "That wasn't even the best part! So Pallon tackled him, the same man who had just got a chunk torn out of his side by a chimera, and Tohveir then goes after him. I may have over-reacted but I turn tail and tackle him again and vaguely remember yelling in his face not to touch my husband and he just goes white as a babies bum! It was priceless"! She rubbed her eyes with one hand and leaned back on Pallon with a wide smile.

Rettika sat up on her elbows and looked at Tohveir as he supported a laughing Amelia, "Has he seriously never told you this story before?! And you were pregnant"?! She looked back to Rin and flopped to the ground, shaking from laughter before her head snapped up again, "Did you say chimera"?

Kalten smiled as his hair was messed with and he immediately glued himself to Bear's side in a hug. He chuckled and glanced to Sigurn, "In case you couldn't tell, family is my main priority".

Pallon chuckled and wrapped his arms around Rin again. "Aye chimera. It clawed me pretty badly and it got Rin with its vemon."

Amelia wiped her eyes finally quieting down some and shook her head. "I havent... I heard about the chimera though." She nestled back into Tovheirs hold and kissed his cheek as he blushed. She murmured loud enough for the others to hear, "Its adorable when you blush." She grinned as the color in his cheeks intensified.

Bear hugged Kalten back. He looked to Sigurn and sighed. "Alright... But know that I am only doing it for Kalten and Dagan. If they decide later that they want no part in this life then we will all leave and not return to Par Lor."

Sigurn smiled. "So I can see." His smile brightened as Bear accepted him to a degree and nodded. "Thats the least I can ask. I know that you a wary and I sont blame you."

Rin nodded as she chuckled and squeaked when Pallon wrapped her back in his arms. "I was about a month along really and the d*** snake tail got my arm, just scared by too" She lifted her arm and pointed out the now barely visible scar that ran the length of it. She swooned audibly as Amelia made Tohveir blush, "Oh what a softy he's getting to be".

Rettika watched in awe as Rin explained and shook her head, "You guys must've been lucky to have escaped that alive"! She scratched her black tresses and began to braid a lock of it, "You guys sound like so much fun to go adventuring with too".

Kalten was beaming and slipped from his father's hold to stand directly infront of Sigurn with a childlike innocence. He smiled up at the man with a happiness only a child could understand, "Hi grandpa". He proceeded to hug the giant as he had his own father with excited chuckling.

Tovheir flustered expression turned to a scowl at Rin. "I could still kick you husbands a** Rin. Remember that." He rested his chin on top of Amelias head and huffed .

Pallon laughed and gave Tovheir a lude gesture. "Ah we're just bad luck."

Sigurn smiled warmly at Kalten and returned the hug in the same manner Bear had. "Hi grandson..."

Bear slowly approached the two with Dagan. He flinched slightly but relaxed as his father patted his shoulder with his free hand.

"Aye cause you're too chicken s*** to find out what happens if you take me on" Rin retorted with a wicked grin, "Still not a glass doll". She bent over to give Pallon a kiss and hugged Liam as the infant finally woke up and waved his hands in the air, looking for something to grab onto.

Rettika laughed again and shook her head, "There's never bad luck, just bad timing". She giggled and hugged Healia who had come over to investigate her person as she laughed.

Kalten stayed there for a few more moments before he jumped back and took a good look at all of them, "We can be a family! Let's go tell everyone"! He was smiling like a madman and jumping in place with seemingly boundless energy.

Tovheir huffed in response.

Pallon returned Rins kiss and chuckled as he gave Liam his hand and sat up. "Then I have the worst timing imaginable."

Sigurn chuckled and removed the runes from the door. "Just remeber to stay away from Mahia. She will still try to attack you." He opened the door and looked at Bear and Dagan almost sheepishly. "Would you trust me enough to let me hold him?"

Bear hesitated and looked down at Dagan. He took in a deep breath and sighed with a slight nod before letting his father take Dagan from him.

Dagan looked up at Sigurn with wide eyes before smiling and patting his arms with a giggle.

Rin giggled and leaned back on Pallon with a content smirk, "Make that 'we', love. My timing isn't exactly on point either. Selkies, remember"? She joined her son in playing with his father's hand.

Rettika had flipped onto her back and still hugged a very lazy looking Healia to her chest, "What're Selkies? You guys have all had some adventure or another and it sounds absolutely amazing". She looked to Cass, "I envy you Cassie, seeing the world with such good, sassy people".

Kalten nodded stiffly but still held his boyish charm as he watched his grandfather hold his brother, "I think he likes him papa, and anyone he trusts so can I". He marched out the doors proudly and immediately drew a dagger to twist between his fingers like a baton.

Pallon growled slightly at the memory bit relaxed immediately. "selkies are like a seal version of a mermaid."

Cass smiled slightly. "yeah well I didn't go on many of the adventures."

Bear smiled slightly and nodded. "I suppose you're right kal..." Hr followed Sigurn out of the room.

Rin nodded with a distant look, "Don't ever go swimming with them it doesn't end well". She nuzzled Liams cheek, making the infant squeal happily.

Rettika smirked, "But you still got to hear all of them"! She sat trying to imagine what Pallon had said, "Hmmm odd creatures you all have in the north, very strange". She shrugged and began to smooth down Healia's fur before the leopard looked to the door in sudden anticipation.

Kalten chuckled and raced to the room they had left the others. He barged in and gripped blade tightly, "Hey guys guess what?! I have a grandpa"! He directed his dagger tip towards the open door where he knew Sigurn, Bear, and Dagan would appear momentarily, "It's awesome and I'm incredibly happy! My family is growing"!
