Nianna nodded, she watched the edge for her husband too. "We went out for a picnic, why do you think we're here? Youre missing two..."

Amelia looked up at the group, letting her chakrams power fade out. "I'm a mercenary, I'm supposed to be hunting those bandits you ran into..." She started to climb up the side, finding it study enough. She glanced to the other two women. "We can get up this way."

Tovheir folded his arms and scowled at the 'mercenary'. He knew better and could just tell that she was a deserter. "Mercenary my a**." He mumbled before getting a rope from the hunters to help the women up.

Rin didn't even bother with waiting for the rope. She began her climb up after Amelia and was halfway there before grabbing the line for support up the rest of the way. As soon as she was topside she scanned the group and frowned at Nianna. She looked to Tohveir, "Where the h*** are Pallon and Tai'vil"? Her demeanor was calm but her words held thick malice and promise of darker intentions.

Kalten still couldn't believe what he was seeing and eyes Amelia suspiciously before leaving to inform the rest of the group of their new arrivals.

Nianna followed behind Rin. She caught Rins frown and was scowling. "Those idiots! They stayed behind didnt they?!"

Tovheir scowled and nodded. He shot a glare to Amelia.

Bear stepped forward. "We were surrounded. Tovheir called for the retreat and Pallon didnt listen, or couldnt. I'm not sure which. He was overcome with rage. Taivil stayed behind to help him, he wouldnt leave Pallon to fight on his own."

Amelia dusted herself off, and ignored the glares she was receiving. She looked at Bear and narrowed her eyes before they widened at the sight of Mage, Wolf and Nick. "Wait, this Pallon. Is he Pallon Hivar?!"

Rin clenched her fists and growled, "For f**** sake, why can't he ever make things easy"?! She snapped her head around to Amelia with a raised brow, "You know Pallon? How"? Her eyes became slits and she bared her teeth, "So help me gods if you have a bounty on him I'm throwing you off this mountain"! She held back, waiting for an explanation.

Kalten had returned with his father and was now standing slightly behind him as he recognized Rin's temper beginning to flare.

Bear shrugged and shook his head. "You knew he was stubborn."

Amelia looked at Rin almost dumbfounded. "I... I was part of his regiment. At least I was until a couple of years ago when-"

"When you deserted." Tovheir interrupted. He was glaring daggers at Amelia and his seething hatred could clearly be felt. His hand firmly gripped his unseathed sword and he looked ready to attack.

Wolf came over at the comotion and cocked his head in disbelief. He grinned. "Is that really Amelia?"

Mage rolled his eyes and glared at Wolf. "No its a doppler." He glared at his former war sister. "Traitor."

Rin held her ground, flanked by her friends and family. She calmed slightly though still held her piercing gaze, "Why are you helping us? You could've easily just turned with all of your filthy brothers at your side". She didn't have time for this, she needed to find Pallon and Tai'vil. She should've fought harder to convince him, make him see that it would've been better for both to just stay at the palace.

"What made her a traitor"? Kalten asked quietly. He looked to the others in blatent confusion, "Did she kill somebody"? He gripped his daggers tightly in anticipation.

Nivallia came to see what was causing such a large crowd and she snorted at Nianna and Rin, "Figures you guys would follow us. I was wondering why Peponi was signaling our flank". She stared distrustfully at Amelia but didn't speak to her.

Crucivander was at his sisters side with a sly grin and his thumb on a grenade trigger he held in his hand, "Sher need tah go cap"?

Amelia looked hurt. She looked down to the ground before stiffening. "look, I can explain now but I wouldn't be believed. Besides we don't have time. We have to help lt. hivar. plus he can confirm my reasoning for doing what I did." She walked past them meeting the gazes of those who glared at her with cold determination.

Tovheir shook his head to crucivander. "not yet... I'm intrigued to hear her justification."

Bear looked to kalten. "she abandoned her brothers in arms."

"Agreed, I apologize" Rin softened and followed alongside the woman as she passed, "You know these mountains, is there a way we can come around the bandits without alerting them"? She didn't know if she should've trusted this stranger but she was the only way to get close to the boys. She looked at Tohveir, "I know your feelings towards deserters but would you rather have two dead men instead? Please, put it away for now".

Kalten frowned as Bear explained, not being able to imagine any reason why a person would leave their brother in arms, "But that doesn't make sense...". He turned to look back up the trail as Pallon and Tai'vil were mentioned.

Nivallia placed her hand on her brothers careful so not to detonate the explosive and slowly lowered it with a shake of her head.

Crucivander pouted slightly and kicked at the dirt as he reclasped his bomb. He shook it off and looked to Tohveir, "Whas we doin cap"?

Amelias expression softened slightly and she looked to Rin. "not one that will be fast enough, at least that I'm aware of... I know a way to buffer any spells they're using to sense people though."

Bear shook his head and started to follow the women. "that's the point. it's difficult to understand how it works unless you've done it. people desert for different reasons."

Tovheir sighed and nodded. He didn't sheath his sword though and got the others to rally to return and aid the two left behind.

Rin smirked, "Nows your chance to show me how those work. Prove that they're useful as well as pretty". She nodded, "That may just work". She picked up her pace and practically jogged up the trail ahead of them.

Kalten pursed his lips and looked back to Tohveir, "But what if it's a good reason"?

Nivallia and Crucivander followed just behind Bear and Kalten. Nivallia still looking to the skies as Peponi gave her signals and Crucivander was chomping at the bit to throw a grenade, so much so his eye began to twitch.
