Bear glanced back at Kalten with a grin. "Sorry Kal. Collecting your own venom for poisons is a h*** of a lot cheaper than buying it on the black market, even with discounts..." He cut the head off of the snake so Desha wouldnt hurt herself before throwing it

"I'm going to pretend like I didnt hear anything about the black market from my kings guard assassin..." Tovheir called back to them.

Taivil laughed.

Pallon sook his head and looked at the walls of the city as they reached the outskirts.

"D*** iiiit" Kalten sighed as he slid off of Bears shoulders and back onto the ground, "Stupid black markets and their stupid overpricing". He grimaced as the decapitated snake was launched into the air, "Sick".

Rin laughed, "Are you really that surprised"? She glanced sideways at Pallon with a grin. "It'll be alright love" She whispered to him as she too watched the walls grow with every step.

De'sha yipped happily as she chased the snake ahead of the group. She caught it in flight and shook it vigorously, tearing it to bits. She padded back up to Kalten and placed it in his hand, making him chuck it again out of reflex. She happily ran after it again.

Bear laughed. "I'd say youd get used to it, but you wont... Especially if you get bit a few times.." He mumbled the last part.

Pallon sighed and nodded reluctantly. His pose was becoming the stiff military pose that he adopted in certain situations that made him uncomfortable.

Jasnah almost looked like she was laughing at Kalten.

Juke glanced back at the group as the neared the gates. "Try not to offend anyone, especially the nobles and my kin. The will take slights on our kin with the edge of their blades. If exploring later on dont go into the alleys. Oh, and most of our people are stubborn and bullheaded so avoid arguments..."

"WHAT THE F-" Kalten growled and used his pack as a pillow, screaming muffled profanities into it. He swung his pack back over his shoulder after a few moments, red faced and almost disgusted.

Rin slipped her arms out of Pallon's grasp as he stiffened and nodded to Juke, saying she understood. "Got all that assassin duet"? She called back as Kalten groaned irritably.

De'sha ripped the last of the snake into pieces and fell back to Rin's side as the wall loomed over them.

Bear chuckled at Kalten again. He looked towards Rin and nodded. "Low profile, understood." With that his posture subtly changed and became more aloof. Even with his height difference he seemed to just blend in and become nothing more than another person rather than a large looming assassin.

Pallon gaze flicked around as they entered the city, noting any threats. The streets seemed to be growing busy, despite the wee hours of the morning.

Wolf and Nick had moved towards the center of the group, wolf almost acting skittish as he looked around, and Nick appeared to be trying to hide within the group.

Mage, Tovheir, and Taivil seemed completely at ease.

Jasnah stayed close with Desha.

Juke led them through the streets, his relaxed demeanor held an undercurrent that was noticed by the dumerrins who avoided him as best they could.

Rin scanned their surroundings without shifting her head. She noticed the people's hesitancy over Juke and smiled internally, He's not all he seems. She appeared relaxed outwardly, but in her own mind she was looking at every face waiting for a grimace or sneer as she found in the Alenthi capitol.

Kalten grinned as he looked to the road beneath them. He folded his arms and looked down alleys and in store windows for anything of slight interest. A sign caught his attention, but he didn't reveal any emotion as he continued on beside Bear.

De'sha sniffed the air as they entered the city, though flanked close beside Rin, never wondering and revealing a more feral side to her personality as she appeared to glare at every moving thing, though she showed no aggression.

They Dumerrins regarded the outsiders with all mixtures of emotions. Some seemed curious and perplexed while others glared, muttered curses or simply ignored them as they went about their business.

Juke led the group in silence and towards the palace wall. The guards posted outside did nothing to challenge Juke or his guests as the dumerrin royal led them inside. He didnt move towards the palace though, and rather walked the path that skirted around it. People could be heard sparring as they walked and it became clear that the guards were already up and going about their normal routine.

Jasnah trotted along nearly pressing against Pallon as they walked.

Rin followed and watched Pallon and the others carefully, barely able to imagine how all of this would be playing on their thoughts and feelings. She wanted to hold her husband and tell him it'd be alright, but now wasnt the time. Every passing moment became agony in her eyes as she pursed her lips and refocused on the reason they were there.

Kalten's eyes flicked up as he heard the sounds of crossing swords and shouting in a tongue he didn't understand. He kept a stiff gate but hurried to stand between Nick and Wolf with Bear behind him just incase something was amiss.

De'sha relaxed some as the number of civilians dwindled as they entered the palace gates. She continued to smell the air and her ears perked at the noise ahead.

Pallons eyes were cold and hid all emotion as he looked at the fighting Dumerrins.

Bear placed a hand on Kaltens shoulder reassuringly.

Juke led them on a training field and turned to the group wit a smile. "This is where I leave you my firends, but I will not be gone long. I will inform my brother and nephew of your arrival and will come to get you or a servant will." He glanced over his shoulder as the dumerrin female that appeared the be the guard captian approached. They spoke in Dumerrin breifly before she gave him a bow of respect as he left the group in her care.

Rin raised her hand to touch Pallon's shoulder, but thought better of it and dropped her hand to her side again. She watched the Dumerrin guard captain with a smirk and crouched to scratch De'sha ear aS the pup leaned into her, unsure of the people fighting just a few meters away.

Kalten glanced back at Bear with a shaky smile as he watched the men fighting from between their group members. He looked to Wolf, then Nick, as the woman approached.
