Pallon got up and followed Rin. The hall was mostly empty except Ryelin was heading for them being his 'normal' self.

The book seemed to open immediately to a section on lorrens and how most cultures refer to them as beasts or animals.

Rin smirked before she stepped out into the hall with her best 'innocent and shocked' facade she could pull, "Ryelin? What're you doing here? It's like five in the morning? Let me guess, sleep walking"? She cocked a brow at him curiously.

Kalten looked hard at the book, something in the back of his mind catching his attention, "What if"? He turned the page once he was done and happened upon the description of the races. He read through the lorren's section and it hit him. His eyes! That's why she called him a beast! It was his eyes! But wait... what Lorren would go into an Alenthi guild? It then dawned on him and he snatched the journal and his pack, racing out of his room and down the hall, "BEAR"!

Pallon followed Rin and smiled at Ryelin.

Ryelin gave them both a suspicious look. "I could ask the same of you two."

Bear was in his room, packing away a few of his things. He glanced up as he heard his name called.

"An early morning snack" Rin smiled as she gestured to an empty tray still sitting on the table.

Kalten darted down the hall, his pack bouncing the whole way behind him. He stopped in front of Bears room and kicked open the door, looking like a man possessed as he smiled almost angrily.

Ryelin glanced to the tray. "I see... Was it good?"

Bear stood and looked down at kalten with a raised.brow. "is there trouble? Or are you looking for something?"

Rin nodded and giggled, "They were, but then again you can't expect anything less from the palace chefs". She folded her arm, "I'm eating so many, I'm starting to think they're regretting me being here".

Kalten dropped his pack, sucking in air as he tried to get his rampaging thoughts into words, "You sneaky... f***... you knew this ....was your journal"! He threw the book at him as he leaned against the doorframe with a proud little smile.

Ryelin chuckled. "more likely they regret accepting the job. You're not the only one who scarfs numerous treats."

Bear chuckled and smirked. "finally figured it out? Yes I knew it was my journal and there are more than just that one."

"So the sweet tooth runs in the family? Good to know I'm not the only one" Rin grinned, "Sorry if that's what you came for".

Kalten laughed between his panting, "Why... why wouldn't you... just tell me"? He blanched slightly as he recalled all of the horror and malicious gore recounted in the journals pages, "Bear, did I ever say thank you"?

Ryelin chuckled and nodded. "eh it's ok. I'll just have to find something else to satisfy me."

Pallon Couldn't help but stifle a snicker.

"I wanted you to figure it out on your own. I knew you would and you did." Bear answered. "thank you for what?"

Rin nudged Pallon in the ribs, making it look like she was wrapping her arm around his, "Well, we're off to pack. Goodnight dear cousin, or rather good morning". She smiled, giving away her slight amusement and quickly turned back to head to their room.

Kalten shook his head, "All of the s*** you went through, all of the jealousy and petty dishonesty and just outright selfishness. You couldve been like them, but you aren't. You're my Fallen, and for that I thank you".
