Pallon shifted uncomfortably. He remained against the wall near the doors.

Tovheir spoke quickly with a servant before turning towards the group. "Follow her. Shes going to take you to the guest halls and where you can stay." Without another word he re-entered the room and sat back at the table next to Taivil and nianna.

Taivil had waited for Tovheir to return before he stood. He didnt seem at all on edge about facing his uncles gaze. "I want to request a proving to allow Nianna to join our family so we may later be bound in marraige."

Aii'in looked at Taivil and Nianna. His gaze turned to Pallon and then to Rin. "You wish to request the same, Vio'rin?"

Crii'lin and Ryelin were now sitting in chairs. They both seemed slightly shocked.

Rin stood from her seat as the nerves calmed and a new determined drive flashed in her eyes, "I would, yes, for Pallon and Myself".

Fal'rien smiled slightly at her daughters words and she shifted her amber gaze to the man still leaning on the wall.

Cerrina still stood behind the two women and smirked at the look on the princes faces.

Kalten watched Tohveir go back into the study, "I hate being left out".

Aii'in then studied the four of them silently. After a long few minutes he spoke, "Very well. The provings will be held tomorrow. You must meet the rest of the family tonight, and they must choose who to fight against. Vio'rin, are you aware of the rules?"

"I know from what Tai'vil has told me. The heads of house," She motioned to Aii'in, Ryelin, and Crii'lin, "Must go against the ones to be proven in an effort to judge their worthiness to become part of the family. The rest of our family may choose to fight with or against them based on what they feel is right". She retained her modest confidence as she spoke, "Was anything overlooked"?

Fal'rien continued to survey the room and her families reactions. She nodded as if answering another of her own questions.

Aii'in smiled. "That is the very basic of what is to be. The provings can vary in the ruling. I'n old times it was unheard of to go through a proving where no weapons or blunted weapons are used. In the case of your proving we will be using blunted weapons... They can still kill, mind you, and if any of us opposing you feels that Pallon Hivar is not worthy of our family, they may try to kill him."

Pallon was shocked that the King remembered his name.

Rin turned her gaze to Pallon as if analyzing the kings words. Her anxiety was beginning to overtake her eyes until she looked at the man she loved and squelched the wave, replacing it with adoration, "Understood". She flicked her sights to Tai'vil and Nianna.

Fal'rien's expression grew dark but she held her tongue for the sake of her daughter.

Aii'in turned his gaze to Taivil and Nianna as well. "The same will go for you two... This will not be a repeat of what happened last time, Taivil..."

Taivil gave a solemn nod.

Nianna's eyes flashed with anger over what had been done to Tai'vil, but she hid it quickly.

Crii'lin folded his arms and nodded with his fathers statement as if he knew something about the extra meaning behind his fathers words.

Rin bit her tongue as she choked back an angered hiss. She looked at Crii questionably then broke away to look at Aii'in again.

Fal'rien's dark appearance didn't falter as the last proving she participated in flashed behind her eyes with gorish detail. She shook her head sadly with a frown.

Aii'in was silent for a moment. "Then it is settled. The last thing to be decided before we are done is which proving will be first."

Rin looked at Tai'vil and Nianna then back to Pallon, "I volenteer us". She returned her gaze to the three royals with a smile.

Fal'rien quickly snapped out of her fit and looked up to her daughter, "Are you sure, Vio'rin"?
