He winces and trots over to the creek. "Doesn't that hurt?" he asks her.

She popped up above the water and shook. "Every time." She answered.

"So why do you do it?" he asks in confusion, moving into the water until it's halfway up his legs, and then he sits and lets it cool him.

"I have a high pain tolerance." She said, and then giggled. "And it sounds funny when I hit the water." She swam up beside him. It doesn't hurt as bad as you'd think." She assured him, feeling strangely hyper today. She wasn't at all acting like the shy quiet Voxxie he'd met the other day.

He splashes her lightly. "Well, it's good to know you can tolerate most pain, for future reference," he says shyly, a deep blush heating his cheeks.

She quirked an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked with a slight smirk to her features.

His blush deepens and he takes a deep breath before hiding his muzzle underwater so he doesn't have to answer her. It was too embarrassing!

She could take several guesses as to what he might have been alluding to, but she didn't say any of them aloud.

When he absolutely can't hold his breath any longer, he lets his muzzle rise into the air again. "Are you ready for lunch now?" he asks, hoping to sidetrack her so she wouldn't ask again.

She made a mental note to ask him later. "Sure. I could eat I suppose." She shrugged, moving to the edge of the creek and pulling herself out. She stepped away from the blanket so she could shake herself off, scattering water everywhere.
