1X1 with ~Griffin: Blossom and Maverick

He pushed himself back up and stroked her ears. "I will, but first I need to prepare a few things as well as put my schooner away again." He rested his paw against her cheek. "I'm sorry for blowing up on you earlier. Even the most controlled and laid back of us fall prey to our emotions. But that was still no excuse to lose my temper, and I'm sorry."

She presses her muzzle to his heart. "I forgive you." She sits up and nuzzles his cheek. "I'll wait for you to come back, Maverick. I love you."

He smiled. "Get some rest." He told her, exiting the cave once more to go take care of his things. He made sure she was settled first, noticing how drowsy she was from the tonic already.

Blossom sighs and slowly sags to the bedding, struggling greatly in staying awake. She presses her face to the stone floor of the cave in the hopes that the rough texture and cold temperature would keep her awake until he came back.

He figured he may as well still finish up the net while he was out there while he waited for her to fall asleep. It wouldn't be long before the passionflower sent her into a deep and restful sleep. He might still sleep outside for all he knew, now that she'd mentioned it. He could use some space and fresh air to clear his mind to prepare him for the next day.

Blossom rolls onto her other side, smacking herself across her muzzle. "No. Must... stay... awake. For Maverick!" she growls at herself, dragging her paws down her cheeks. She didn't want to sleep until Maverick was cuddling with her.

He sat down and began weaving once again, finishing each rung carefully as he breathed the fresh sea air and tried to clear his mind, focusing on the movement of his paws as he weaved and tied the net.

Blossom sags into the rocks and bedding, feeling herself melt into their embrace. She shifts, trying futilely to stay awake. Before she knows it, she's asleep, and the only thing to be seen are swirling rainbows, colored bubbles and drifting flowers.

It doesn't take Maverick long to finish his task of weaving the rope before he puts away his things. He soon made his way back up the cliff wall and joined Blossom, practically sinking into the lush soft bedding. He didn't realize that he was tired until he felt warm inviting softness between him, and as he rolled over to face his counterpart, he realized she was fast asleep.

Blossom rolls into a large, deep blue bubble, nestling close to it and hugging it. It felt soft and yet rough... smelled like the sea. Just like Maverick. She smiles slightly. "I love you," she whispers sleepily.
