1X1 with ~Griffin: Blossom and Maverick

She senses this movement and begins to groom his shoulders and back, the places he can't reach easily by himself. She hoped that he would realize just how much she cared with such an intimate action as grooming him. She cared very much, after all, but didn't want to lose him if he didn't care for her as she did him.

He smiled and returned the affectionate gesture, smoothing her fur so it was like silk. He hoped she had the same feelings for him as he did for her. In the one day, and morning, that he'd gotten to know her a bit, he felt a certain degree of attachment to the interesting female, and had grown to care about her considerably.

Blossom purrs softly in content, every brush of his tongue over her fur making her heart swell and sending little tingling jolts of electricity coursing through her veins. It was such a nice feeling she don't ever want it to stop. What mattered to her mot, though, was that they stayed close in their relationship, no matter the outcome. Today would be a good day to build more on that.

Maverick finished grooming her, taking a bit longer this time purely for the fact that she was enjoying it, and stood up, swaying his tail lightly. "What would you like to do today now, my dear?" he asked kindly, deciding that she could pick what they did today. He spent most of his days along the rough stones, or in the water, messing with fishermen, and swimming with the schools of fish that didn't swim away from him.

"Swimming, I think," she says softly, blushing lightly at the term of endearment. She wanted to practice her new skill, however he thought best.

He smiled widely. He just loved swimming. "Well.... the tidepools are out as far as options." he turned back, flicking his ears at the noise of splashing and ripples as the minnows swam around in a panic, trying to get out of their cramped environment, some even jumping up onto the rocks in hopes for an escape. He turned back to Blossom. "You think you're ready to tackle the big ocean?"

"I think I can manage, as long as you stay close to me," she answers. She was a little nervous, her heart racing in both anticipation and slight fear, but she wouldn't let that stop her. He had been doing this for most of his life, which meant he was safe to be with. The odds that anything were happen were rather low as well.

"Okay then. If I'm not mistaken..." he trailed off momentarily, flicking his ears as he craned them, inhaling the salty air. "The tides right about now don't usually get very high, so they should be something easy to start you off in." he smiled at her reassuringly.

"Alright. It sounds like a lot of fun," she says brightly, staying optimistic.

He smiled and wagged his tail behind him, jumping to his paws. "Away!" he declared, bounding closer to the stretch of beach land to head off into the water.
