1X1 with ~Griffin: Scout and Akane

"I don't mind at all. It's likely dark by now, anyway. I wouldn't let you travel home this late," he admits, holding her closer in his embrace.

"That's good." Akane yawned. "I wouldn't be able to see where I'm going." She offered a joke. It wasn't the dark that Voxxies had to fear, it was the creatures it drew out. She didn't want to end up as a snack, so she was more than happy when he told her she could spend the night in his humble little hole.

"No, you wouldn't," he agrees lightheartedly. He knew, though, that that wasn't all she was worried about. That wasn't what he was worried about. There were too many dangers, some even out during the day. But it was a lot safer during the day when there were fewer predators to hide from.

She yawned and nuzzled his shoulder, tired from a day's adventure. The wag of her tail slowed further as the tiredness set in, and before she knew it, she'd drifted off in Scouts wonderful hug.

He smiled and gathered her closer, stumbling slightly as he carried her over to the beanbag and curled up around her. "Goodnight, Akane, my love," he whispers before letting dreams consume him.

Akane was having the most wonderful dream, about running with Ami in a strawberry patch. The little girl was dashing this way and that, her little nose carefully inspecting every strawberry as she ran by, while Scout and Akane trailed happily behind her. Just like a happy family.

Scout's tail flicks side to side as he dreams about many different things over the course of the night, until he finds himself waking up mid-morning. Akane was still asleep in his embrace, Ami just beside her cuddled close. This caused him to smile as he nuzzled Akane's cheek lovingly, doing his best not to wake her.

Akane twitched as she felt something softly nuzzle her cheek and yapped in annoyance, snuggling down into Ami's fur, causing the youngling to twitch slightly in her sleep.

"Shh," Scout hushes, running a paw lightly over her fur to smooth it out. He really didn't want to wake her. She was just so sweet and lovable, and it felt so nice to have her in his arms.

Akane began to emit something along the lines of a purr, snuggling close to dear Ami and snoring softly, her back rising and falling as she breathed peacefully, her mind filled with pleasant dreams. She snuggled closer to Scout, readjusting herself so it was nice and cozy.
