Abbie smiled and leaned back against him.

Kailyn sat up in bed, eating. She'd been feeling well that day.

Austin watched through the window as Carsen took Cherish outside to play.

Eric sat by her. "Feeling better?"

Lelani laid her head in Austin's shoulder. "I think we did okay with them."

Kailyn looked over. "Better than I have been," she said. "I'm actually able to shift myself without wanting to die because of the pain," she said.

"As okay as we can with teenagers," Austin said.

Lelani nodded.

Kailyn nodded. "Yeah," she said. "For the first time it's somewhat enjoyable," she chuckled.

"Do you trust leaving them here with Cherish? We haven't had a night out by ourselves since before Cherish was born," he said.
