Casey's face flushed and he couldn't stop blushing, his heart and mind racing. He bit his lip and glanced over at
her, resting the sides of their heads against each other. This is happening, this is happening, this is happening,
he repeated to himself over and over and over again. "I- why did I push you away?" He repeated the question,
sniffing as he looked away from her and at the ceiling. "Uh. I-- At orientation. They showed me a video, and
in it a vampire ripped a man apart completely. And I just... was really scared of myself. And I didn't want
to do that to someone." He paused and swallowed hard, refusing to look at her. His breathing was shallow,
and it was clear he was anxious. "Especially... not... to you..." He murmured. It was obvious that he was
still scared of himself, and now it made more sense as to why he refused to bite her.

----Hecate felt a thrum of warmth through her chest as he finally spoke to her, the petite brunette wondered how the two of them looked together, the strong and masculine vampire alongside the delicately feminine werewolf. She leant into him and caught his chin gently, turning him to face her with a warm smile. "I don't think you'd ever intentionally hurt me Case." she breathed, a light blush coming to her cheeks, she hadn't felt this way since she saw him last and she was glad they had the opportunity to finally reconnect. She nuzzled into his side and settled quietly, "Is Brynlee... A vampire too?" she remembered how much Casey had adored his younger sister, and she was just as found of her, the younger girl had always trailed after the two of them when she was a bit older and Hecate saw Brynlee like a sister as well and was intrigued as to whether she would be able to fend for herself nowadays. She yawned and stretched sleepily, feeling warm against him.

Casey managed to calm down a bit, telling him he was safe with her. Free to drop his guard. "Brynlee?" He
asked, nodding. "I don't think she is, but I don't know yet. She's only my half-sister, and I don't think
it was in my mom's genes." He informed, remembering that he'd never actually told Hecate. While Bryn
technically wasn't his full sister, he was still her caretaker and he actually treated her as though she was a
daughter rather than a sibling. He bathed her, put her to bed, cooked for her, walked her to school, helped
her with her homework. Things a parent is supposed to do. The vampire allowed himself to wrap his arm ar
ound the she-wolf comfortably, resting his cheek on top of her head and relishing in how utterly warm she
was, and how she smelled like a vanilla cake baking in a cozy house. Not a wet mutt like he so often clai
med, but something much better. Something like what a home is supposed to smell like. "I'm really worried
about her." He revealed softly. It was safe to tell her. It was safe to tell her.

----She nodded quietly, thinking of the girl with a smile, "We could sneak out and go and check on her? With our speed we could be at yours and back within a night." she shrugged and nestled in his arms, feeling better than she had in days. "I had a question too..." she chewed her lip and pulled away from him slightly, her brow furrowed, "Could you train me? I want to be a great werewolf, not a sucky one." she chuckled lightly and looked into his eyes, seeing the way hers sparkled reflected in them. She tilted her head and took a breath, "How much do you know about werewolves?" she wanted to figure out exactly what she was dealing with when it came to her abilities and see how similar she was to him. She'd realised that she had been garbling on at him, but she had been doing that since the age of four so she was sure he wouldn't mind. She absent-mindedly began to play with his hair, her gaze soft and wistful.

Casey traced patterns on her shoulder distantly, staring at the wall. He nodded at her suggestion, feeling
a bit relieved that she mentioned it, and then bit his lip and blushed when she started playing with his
hair. "Werewolves. I know a lot about werewolves. I know a lot about every supernatural, actually." He
looked at her. "I'm kind of a nerd." He admitted, watching his own fingertip draw light circles near the
edge of her sleeve. The vampire loved to study, as weird as that sounds. He loves to learn more about
the world the humans don't believe in, the world he's a part of, the world his campmates are a part of.
He loves to know the background behind everything and the extent everyone's powers can reach. Who
could beat who in a fight. The dark-haired boy had a good 6 or so years to study, too, so it's not like he'd
just picked the topic up. "I could train you. Vampires and werewolves are fairly similar, save a few diff
erences. Like, you guys are really hormonal and brash- but you're also a lot better with people." He exp
lained quietly. "And I mean... a lot better with people."

Hecate flexed her shoulders, relishing the feeling of his fingers skimming her skin, a sound of pleasure elicited from her throat with a soft smile, she felt like a goddess, he made her feel beautiful and cherished just with the way he looked at her and the quiet way he spoke, she loved this side to Casey, not that she didn't love his stubborn side, because, well, it was pretty darn hot to get into an argument with him it was the only time where she knew he didn't hold back, he'd always given her his all when fighting. These feelings were starting to make her feel a bit hotter than she'd like to admit and on that note she decided to ask another question before too many pheromones leaked, "Also, what does this humming mean? Verity said it happened when I was near a potential mate but why?" she liked the idea of Casey being a nerd and her nose crinkled cutely at that image. She couldn't imagine him researching for hours on end, the idea of him using that research to find the weaknesses of other supernaturals however? Easy to understand, he had always been rather tactical in his fights and to have the upperhand would work out for him. She chuckled before asking, "So what are my weaknesses?"

Casey thought for a moment. "Weaknesses." He mused, looking at her and studying her. "Werewolves are
harder to kill than vampires. Well... kind of." He said unsurely, drawing his eyebrows together lightly. "Th
ere are less things that can kill you, but they're more dangerous. There's... three main ones. Anything
made of silver. Don't touch silver, any kind of silver. That includes mercury, too, by the way. It used
to be referred to as 'quicksilver,' and it can kill you just as easy. It doesn't matter if it's a weapon, or
a handle, or jewelry, don't touch it." He advised, using his free hand to play with the hem of her shorts
absently. He stared at her lips as he spoke, as if he wanted to kiss her again. He did. "And. Um. Wolfsbane.
It's already poisonous, but it's really really dangerous for you. If your skin even brushes it, you could
die within a matter of seconds. Just like that. Don't touch purple flowers, just to be safe." He continued,
tracing her features with his eyes. The bridge of her nose, the curve of her chin. "And this one's less avoidable,
but try not to hang out with people you think would rip out and burn your heart or brain." He giggled unea
sily at how outlandish it sounded. It seemed like something some kind of psycho paranoid dad from a movie would
say. A warm smile tugged at the corners of the vamp's lips, and he forgot to hide how obviously he was staring at
her. His pupils dilated as they examined her, and a light blush colored his cheeks. Before he realized it, his forehe
ad was resting against hers and both arms were wrapped securely around her. "And, as far as killing someone
you love goes... it really depends." He added quietly, his face close to hers.

----Her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to fail, her pupils were dilated and her normally amber eyes were a burning orange, her breath hitched in her throat as their foreheads connected, "So, no jewellery, no flowers and no heart burning, how am I supposed to date?" she giggled and then minimised the difference between them and kissed him with everything she had, letting the years they'd been separated, her feelings for him, her frustration, her entire soul out and baring them to him to see, she wanted to stay like this forever, wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and emotion. She wasn't quite sure what she felt for Casey but she definitely had strong feelings for him, could it be... love? Normally such a thought would have had her recoiling and denying everything but, she didn't and that was when she'd realised, that the frustration she felt at his coldness, the despair when she felt like he didn't know her and the safeness that she'd felt from him, even from the start of the day, she had trusted him to save her and he had, he always did, she smiled into the kiss and shifted herself into his lap, a sense of rightness overcame her and she knew that she'd come to the conclusion that she was in love with him.

Casey squeaked quietly in surprise as her lips made contact with his, and he blushed wildly. Butterflies
overwhelmed him and his heart sped up a lot more than it had before, since he wasn't expecting it this
time. When she pulled away and climbed into his lap, he stared at her incredulously, his chest heaving.
He suddenly got really embarrassed by his surprised reaction and pressed his lips together meekly, glan
cing away and wrapping his arms around her hips, resting his head on her shoulder gently. Her remark
about dating actually quite tickled him now that he thought of it, and he started laughing, leaning for
ward into it and closing his eyes. "Dating as a werewolf must suck." He said simply, looking at her. A
small light flickered in his eyes as he giggled and he covered his mouth with the back of his hand. "It's
a good thing I don't care much for things like flowers or jewelry. I can't promise I won't rip out
your heart, though." He joked boldly, blushing. There it was again. He's scared of himself. Even
when he's laughing about it, he's serious. Also, on another note- he just admitted they were kind
of dating, didn't he? 'I don't care much for things like that.' As in... we are... dating? c:

She reached out gently and stroked his hair lightly, her eyes rounded with wonder. His hair was softer than she imagined, a contrast to his starker features, she sighed happily and her hum emanated again, "What happened to elusive thoughts and the 'hard to get' aspect of females." She muttered with an eye roll.
