Kyle's cheeks reddened slightly at how close Mairianne was, his eyes glancing down at her lips for just a second. "S-s-season?" He stuttered out as he tried to get his mind back on track. "Well, I love winter, because the snow and ice are so pretty. Even reading about it makes winter sound so wonderful - like this one book described the ice covering the branches on the trees and how walking in the deep snow broke the forest's silence with a soft crunching from every step. It said something along those lines, I don't remember the exact wording. But I also love spring, because it's so colorful and lively with flowers blooming and new baby animals being born. Oh, and fall is beautiful too, since the leaves turn orange and red, plus the weather is really nice. Summer is...okay, but it's really hot and isn't as interesting. So I guess I love all the seasons equally except for summer?" He said a little awkwardly, realizing he had basically spoken all of his thoughts out loud. "As f-f-for my favorite t-type of day," he paused for a moment to calm himself down, slightly flustered. His gaze kept going back to her gorgeous lips while his mind returned to earlier when they had been making out. Why? Why did he have to think about kissing her now? What they were doing now was fine. It was sweet, innocent, and helped him feel more comfortable around her. Kissing, however, would only lead to other things. He quietly took in a deep breath, focusing on her intelligent brown eyes before saying, "I-I-I like the days when it's storming outside, where it's all dark and there's thunder and lightning. I get a lot of inspiration from it. Also, I have tried drawing lightning before, just because it's so powerful and amazing, but that was years ago so those pictures look really bad." Kyle had to force himself to stop talking, feeling bad for speaking so much. Was it normal to talk so freely in front of other people like this? She hadn't said anything about it being annoying so far. "Wh-what about you?"

Mairianne puckered her lips a little, amused by his discomfort and rambling. He truly, truly did seem absolutely adorable when he didn't hold back his thoughts. His ensuing embarrassment was also adorable, though she only liked him feeling so around her, and only in situations like these, where he was simply shy about their love for each other. She didn't like him to anxious, not like how he often was in public, but hopefully she could coax that away from him more and more.
"I like the spring and summers here," she glanced out the window, smiling a little. "Then, the air further up is warmer and the trees are simply so alive..." Her eyes sparkled quietly with the happy, wondrous memories within them, as she savored the calm, deep-seated joy they brought. She sighed blissfully, her breath lightly fanning him. "I love sunny, windy days, when the currents are nearly unpredictable, nearly," she smiled at him, a bit pridefully, before her gaze drifted outside once more, "and I adore rain, and thunder, and lightning as well, though lightning isn't exactly the best thing in a forest." She chuckled sweetly, settling further into the warmth and comfort of the couch and his side, though her place upon his shoulder did not change.

"It better not become common for us," she lectured, though the laugh in her eyes and tugging upon her lip didn't assist her quest to be serious as she pointed a warning forefinger at him with the hand he did not possess. "But yes," she relented, dropping her hand with a light exhale, "it's common enough that if someone does notice, they shouldn't absolutely hate you. Now, in you go," she stepped behind him and began pushing him firmly toward the automatic sliding doors of the church with her free hand at his back, though she left her other hand in his for his comfort, her Bible tucked beneath her arm; the sign just above the doors read beautifully, "God is love.", in swirling, lilting lettering.

Kyle nodded, his smile widening as his blush deepened. "L-l-l-" he paused once again, getting his thoughts together before saying, "L-lightning can be bad f-for trees, I suppose, but it's also really beautiful. I especially love it when it's dark and cloudy and there's no rain or thunder and it's just flashes of light in the clouds, it's absolutely stunning. Although I guess windy days can be really nice, too, but they used to make me sad because my sisters would go flying in that kind of weather and I couldn't but now that I've met you they really do seem enjoyable because you seem so happy flying which makes me happy and you let me fly with you so..." he trailed off, not even sure what he was trying to say about windy days anymore. His cheeks by now were a bright red, although he was still smiling, despite how embarrassed and flustered he felt. Attempting to joke about his ramblings, he said, "Sorry for being so talkative, I guess I'm just making up for all the words I didn't use in the last couple of years?" He couldn't help but break out into a grin. He was acting like a complete fool, but Mairianne didn't really seem to care. Nervously, he lifted a hand to her face and brushed back a loose strand of hair, afterwards letting his hand rest against her warm cheek. He stared at the gorgeous freckles that splashed across her face, his gaze soon moving back up to her eyes. She was so beautiful, so wonderful, and so patient. How in the world had he ended up with an amazing girl like her?

Ace stumbled forward slightly, a bit surprised at the strength she possessed. The doors in front of them slid open and, before he thought too much about the fact that they were going into a church, he walked in. Gripping Lily's hand a little tighter, he came to a sudden stop. "Could you, uh, lead the way?" he asked. He was a little uncomfortable and felt lost in this new building, but at least his worries were almost gone. Almost. There were still a few concerns about the attitude the church members would have towards him, but Ace was confident that they wouldn't judge him harshly like his dad had said.

Lily could understand a bit where he was coming from, but... honestly. He needed to man up. She rolled humorous eyes at him, then plowed straight ahead from practice and with certainty to lead him through the lobby, where some deacons and one or two women with fussy babies waited outside the sanctuary, listening and/or watching the screens set into the wall outside the sanctuary that broadcasted the going-on's inside. Currently, lyrics to a song she recognized lay in white letters on a black background and music hummed softly from the cracks in the doors that led to the sanctuary. "Told you," she murmured softly as she circled to the far right door, ignoring curious glances, and opened the door just a crack to slip inside the darkened room, holding the door open for him to come through just after her.
She ducked left of the door, wary of other people but didn't see any immediately in range of the door, so she stopped a moment to left her and Ace's eyes adjust and take in their surroundings before she would move to slip them both into an open pair of seats. She had moved with purpose and quickly, wanting to get Ace settled into a seat as soon as possible, with less time to worry about those that had been in the lobby to possibly 'judge' him for being late, and more time to begin absorbing. She blinked away the darkness, confronted with a decent-sized group of maybe 100 or more people, mostly college kids it seemed, in seats toward the front of the church or gathered around the dimly-lit, sparsely-decorated stage (which she actually preferred, as it was less of a distraction). Her eyes weren't completely used to the dark, so she turned to look at Ace, gauging his expression, waiting to be sure he could see too.

"Yeah, lightning storms are cool," she sighed out gently, tilting her head a little as she relaxed those muscles too, smiling at his question-statement and her eyes lit up in happiness at his touch. He really did seem so open to her just then, not overly cautious as to how he looked or sounded - which just happened to be perfectly adorable, so he had to reason to worry anyway - as he often was. "No reason to be sorry," Mairianne replied sweetly with a gentle smile, enjoying his touch, "I like listening to you just as much as I do talking," and her eyes shown with mirth. "Maybe a bit more," she added, a hint for him to continue talking, for her to eagerly listen.

"Oh-well-thanks for listening?" Kyle said with some uncertainty, not exactly sure if that would sound weird or not. This was just so different. He felt comfortable talking to someone, and she was actually listening to what he was saying. It was so foreign, so strange, yet so wonderful. He absolutely loved it.
His mind then jumped to a topic he could talk about, so, not really giving Mairianne any time to respond, he went on to say, "Since you've kinda shown me around where you lived, I guess I could tell you about my home? I mean, I've made it sound really awful...which it was, but there were also some cool things about it. Well, the only cool thing was the forest that was nearby. The rest of the town was kind of boring and small and worn down, but the forest was pretty, although I did stay away from it at first because that's where everyone did their hunting and I didn't want to be in their way. Anyways, there was this one spot in the woods that I would spend my time at during the weekends, mainly because it was so peaceful and beautiful. It was a big clearing with a small pond where a rainbow fish lived. Like, it was blue and green and red and yellow, with all of the colors fading into the next. It was really pretty, and I think it liked me, since I always fed it worms. Oh-and then there was this bird that I named Draco because he looked like a dragon since he had scales instead of feathers. He was scared of me and usually flew off whenever I got too close, but he had such a handsome voice that I often fell asleep whenever he was singing. There were also these huge butterflies that were bigger than my hand! But I think something happened to them, because I haven't seen them in the last couple of years. And the flowers were so gorgeous in the spring and summer, but they attracted a lot of bees. I...I suppose the clearing was kind of like something out of a fairy tale." His eyes were bright as he thought back to the days he had spent in the forest, a large smile still on his face. The hand that had been on Mairianne's cheek dropped down to rest on her hand as he slightly bounced on the couch. Kyle was eager to see her reaction, to see if she thought his little hideaway was beautiful based on words alone.

Ace followed closely, his heart racing. He was unsure about the whole situation, having mixed emotions and thoughts. Sure, he had gone to church before, but only because he had been forced to by his mother. Tonight he was going with the intention of getting something out of the sermon and to start forming a relationship with God. But...could he even accomplish the latter? He wasn't necessarily bad in the sense that he was hanging out with people on the streets and breaking the law, but he wasn't completely innocent either, especially with what happened the other night. He just felt like he didn't belong here. Everyone else that was worshiping had possibly been Christians since they were children and probably hadn't sinned as much as he had. Maybe they were all like Lily, innocent and pure, while he was the black sheep who was constantly getting into fights and messing things up morally. He just didn't belong.
But at the same time, he felt like he did belong. No one in this building was perfect, and they most likely understood that since they were here in the first place. Plus, hadn't they all been in his place at one point in their lives? Each one of them had been just as ignorant as him...right? Thinking through his feelings logically wasn't giving him a sound conclusion that he desired. However, there was a strange urge he felt that seemed to be telling him that what he was doing was right, that this was where he needed to be. He couldn't explain it, but he trusted the feeling.
He kept a straight face despite the emotional turmoil inside of him. He was overwhelmed, confused, and unsure. Part of him wanted to back out and walk back through the doors they had come through, but another part wanted to rush forward and join the others in worship. The latter part was winning, gaining strength from Lily's presence and the indescribable urge that filled him. He wanted to be here, wanted to hear about a God that could love him unconditionally, wanted to believe in such a God. The only thing that was holding him back at the current moment was fearing what others would think about him.
Why should he care what they thought about him? Shouldn't he only be concerned with what God thought of him? And wouldn't God want him to be here?
Once his eyes were more adjusted to the darkness and he was able to make out the seats, he took a few steps forward, trying to focus on his determination instead of his fears. He had to keep moving forward before the fears and doubts made him go back. "Should...should we sit in the front?" Ace asked Lily, his voice strained wih emotion, but he kept his eyes focused on what was in front of him.

"Maybe we'll go together sometime," Mairianne smiled warmly, encouragingly, "because it sounds wonderful." She turned her hand to hold his, not interlacing their fingers, but enclosing his hand within hers. "And a lot like my forest here." Her tone became slightly insistent, her eyes brightening in her enamerment and some excitement, though in reality, she was withholding most of it, "I'm sure you would love it here, in the Alps I mean. It's so wonderful and the creatures here are all so nice and just as wonderful." She had sat up a bit more, leaving his shoulder behind as she leveled their eyes and spoke animatedly.
But suddenly she faltered, her eyes widening and a mad blush heating her features. How hadn't she noticed what her words implied? Wow... just-
Wow. Slow, we're taking this slow, she calmed her breathing. "Maybe the next time we fly, I'll come during the day so we can go exploring and I can show you." She smiled again, looking forward to such a possibility. And because she'd somewhat saved herself from such an awkward... She didn't really want to think about it. What on earth had happened to her caution?
Well, he had kind of saved her from herself and then they'd kissed a few times and... she'd just forgotten. That simply, that easily. Darn it; she needed to be more careful. The thought wasn't very appealing though.
