Flick watched out of the corner of an eye while he distractedly lifted his formerly injured leg up onto the chair he was on, so it was drawn tightly to his chest and his arms were hugging around it. It no longer hurt to be bent at such a tight angle an, when Flick cautiously ran a hand under where the pant leg was torn he found that nothing of the injury remained aside from perhaps that the skin seemed a little smoother there. Less rough--as though it was completely new skin or 'scar' tissue that had formed over. Whatever Alphaess had done, it was sort of like she may have sped up the healing process considerably in a matter of mere seconds. He briefly wondered where he would have been able to do it himself. Perhaps? Flick rested a hand atop the knee and thought back to when Alphaess had healed his burnt wrist as well. It seemed like a rather helpful ability, especially if Flick was drawn to trouble as he already seemed to be. Maybe then he wouldn't need Alphaess to save his ass all the time, either. How many times had she saved him by now, anyway? Well, there had been Darkwood. She'd saved him about three or four times there, not to mention the several times where she'd probably held off the Balverine from eating him. Then, the Guild...at least she hadn't needed to save him there. Then, getting caught in the trap in the woods...the Hobbes. God, there had been a lot. And how many times had Flick saved Alphaess? Oh, right. Once. But Flick liked to think that the one time counted for all the other times she'd saved him. After all, the whole 'lightning tackle' thing had been pretty spectacular, had it not?
Flick was dragged out of his thoughts once he noticed that the grimy looking man had drawn a little closer to Alphaess, going as far to drag his chair up so that he was sitting directly beside the Heroine. Flick briefly thought about warning the man but, in the end, apparently decided against it and set his foot back on the floor. He distractedly folded his arms across the surface of the table and rested his chin on the top, momentarily taking interest in the empty glass before him. He tapped the glass with two fingers in a 'flicking' motion (ironically enough) and then managed a slight smile of amusement when there was a resounding clink noise. Any other time, Flick would not be too interested in the sound of fingers making contact with glass and yet he wasn't one hundred percent at the moment. He was, of course, way better than Alphaess was. Showing off scars, smiling, laughing...
Aside from that, Flick knew he was bound to bring this up sometime later. It was simply too great to not taunt Alphaess about...besides, he was sort of running out of 'taunting' material at any rate. Alphaess probably had a lot more to hold over his head than he did for her. Getting stuck in the mud, stepping into one of her Hobbe traps, getting chopped by a munchkin...the list went ever on. Would there ever be a chance for Flick to actually do something right? The closest he'd ever gotten to a 'score' was electrocuting Sabre and that had really just been luck. Had it not been for the thunderstorm, Flick would be...long dead. Either decapitated or cut in half by the bandit leader, and Flick didn't exactly like either option. Then again, there was also a chance Alphaess could be dead, too. So...in a way, maybe Flick had saved her. Huah. So maybe he had done something right! Flick could not help but have a slight smile at the thought, regardless of the situation and the fact that Flick probably looked pretty silly just smiling at his inward thoughts. Ah, well. People would just assume he might be getting a little drunk. His head was a little icky feeling and his stomach was a bit nauseous due to the wound. He wasn't too bad off (at least he wasn't seeing double) but he surely needed a nap. Mm...a nap sounded quite nice right about now.
"Ahw, hun. You just need t' warm up t' me, is all. Heeere. I'll halp." The man said in a rather boisterous voice, leaning towards Alphaess and daringly outstretching his arm and placing it...well, behind Alphaess's head and across her shoulders, which was the exact gesture Flick had done maybe three days ago and nearly had his fingers snapped off because of it. Flick looked up for just a moment, but did not say anything. He was just a wee bit curious as to how Alphaess would react in this situation considering she was rather intoxicated, but she wouldn't lose all sense of dignity, right? Flick didn't think he'd take too well to anyone with that sort of stench putting an arm around his shoulders, either.

The Alphaess
❦ Hєяσιηє σƒ Kησтнσℓє Gℓα∂є ❦
➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳
Balverine hunter - Twenty-four years - Greatwood
❧ The heroine's eyes widened slightly, her grin fading away as the man made a daring move to touch her. Not even simply touching either, placing his dirty and in a rather large danger arm across her shoulder. But in a matter of moment Alphaess's grin returned, now exactly same grin that Alphaess would have normally when she is quite sober. "Want to warm up? I know the exact treatment for you." Alphaess said with a soft, purring like voice, giving no clue what was about to come. Than, without another word, she moved her hand on top of his hand that was staying on her shoulder, like she just wanted to hold it gently, but upon contact with the man's hand, it gripped the hand, digging the fingernails to his flesh, literally enough to draw blood, if she didn't had her gauntlet on, not even as soft as she did to Flick. Not without a change of her expression, the heroine bent the arm backwards hardly, getting it off her shoulders, but not letting go yet. Using the element of surprise, Alphaess pulled the man's arm, pushing him off his chair too. Now Alphaess was standing behind the man, holding his arm bent on his back and was about to kick him from the back of his knee, to cause him to fall on his knees. All happened in less than a second. Alphaess aimed directly at the back of his knee, landing a successful and perfectly aimed kick with great power, despite being all drunken, maybe even doing some damage to the bones.
❧ When the man was down on the knees, probably still quite shocked and not able to figure out what was happening, Alphaess pressed her feet on the lower part of his leg, the place that was touching the ground. She applied much force on it, intending to give pain, much pain, while having her devilish grin even growing, literally as it was feeding off from the pain she gave. As the faint voice of bones cracking could even be heard. She held the arm even higher on his back, causing the arm to bend even more and stay at the edge of breaking. With the empty hand she had placed on his right shoulder Alphaess leaned forwards, almost placing her head over his left shoulder, ignoring the eyes that were on her. "Better learn to respect the thing called 'personal space'." Alphaess said with a low tune, looking at his face with a flashing grin, where he could be able to notice that her teeth literally resembled fangs. Real fangs. Than, unexpectedly, released the arm she had seized. The Heroine backed away, letting enough time for the man to get up as she returned back to the edge of the table and leaned back, placing her hands on the surface of the table, she was now leaning to the table, facing the man. "You're lucky, I don't feel like playing much." She added, shooting the man one last glare, than returning her gaze on Flick.
❧ The heroine than completely ignored the man, or it seem like that. Where, actually, she was sure the man would try to do something incredibly silly, like trying to start a fight. She counted on it to be honest. How much she carved some commotion at this time. A nice battle. She had studied the man, who wouldn't posses a worthy opponent, but that was the best she had at the moment. Even though her eyes were down on Flick, she still had her attention on something else. "Where were we?" She asked with a slightly cheerful, slightly normal-ish voice casually, like nothing had happened, than reaching to Flick's half-empty drink and without giving him time to protest downing what remained in it. It was strange, like she had gone sober for an amount of time. Maybe not exactly sober, but into a whole less cheerful and pretty much more aggressive and dangerous drunken self of Alphaess.

Flick frowned in a bit of pity as Alphaess seized the man by the arm and did nearly the same thing she'd done to him, except even more fearsome (if that were possible). He made no attempt to intervene, however, for he feared that Alphaess may not appreciate it. Though, she was being a little harsh to do the poor drunken man. She'd tugged him completely off of the chair and bent his arm behind his back in a ferocious gesture, finishing it off at last by kicking the man onto his knees. The man crashed down but, apparently, Alphaess wasn't finished there. She'd stomped down on the lower part of his leg hard enough for Flick to hear what sounded to be a crackling of bones...from there, Flick winced a bit and tried to say: "Uh, maybe that's--" But he stopped upon Alphaess leaning forward and muttering something to the man that was audible for most of the people in the inn to hear. Flick was a little glad that he hadn't received the same treatment when he'd done the same thing but, then again, regardless of how Alphaess felt towards Flick, he wasn't a complete stranger. This was...a little different. The man gave an audible groan aloud at the sound of Alphaess's voice, but made no attempt to respond to her words. Once she'd come back to the table, the man cast the pair a rather baffled and pained look, but managed to drag himself up to his feet by using the edge of an opposite table.
"Y-yer insane!" He stuttered in a slightly broken and pained voice. From there, the man brought himself up to his feet, shot a scathing look at the Heroine and then made his way towards the exit door. It was obvious enough that he would not be returning to the game that the five men were playing in the back and seemed just outright terrified. He had a sort of limping walk, akin to what Flick had been walking like after the Hobbes. Once he reached the door, he threw it open and immediately left the inn.
The rest of the inn was left in a stunned silence. Everyone, of course, had witnessed what the Heroine had done. Flick was the only person who wasn't thoroughly shocked, but he was still quite surprised at the length that the Heroine had gone to hurt the man. Flick leaned back a little uncomfortably in his seat upon Alphaess returning her focus to Flick. She reached out and grabbed his half-empty drink and had already downed it before Flick could react. Flick opened his mouth to say something, frowned, and then muttered in a smaller voice: "That was mine..." It wasn't like Flick had much intention on finishing it, but that made almost three glasses of very large servings of beer now, and someone who weighed at least three times as much as Alphaess would probably be feeling a little woozy by now.
The innkeeper had disappeared from his stationary spot behind the counter. The five remaining men had most certainly taken notice of the pair in the further over table now, and there was bound to be trouble. Flick gritted his teeth and sunk down a little lower in his chair as though he intended to disappear altogether but, of course, that was impossible. He did not exactly want to seem like a total wimp, either, so Flick steeled his nerve and watched as one of the largest men of the bunch--a great big powerful fellow with large arms who probably had an inch or two on Flick--and shortly cropped blonde hair that was quite a bit shorter than Flick's own.
"What the 'ell's your problem, lady?" The man snapped, upon reaching the front of their table and bearing down rather menacingly. Flick averted his attention from the man and tapped on the table in front of him with his fingers absently. He really, really did not want conflict after the whole Hobbe situation. Sure, he figured he was able to handle himself with Will but hand to hand combat? No way. Flick couldn't use Will in such a small space without the entire building burning down and so he would have to do without which would probably be a...bad situation. Flick could hardly make a fist, how was he even supposed to defend himself if one of these guys decided to start up a fight? So, Flick just merely shot a look towards Alphaess and awaited her answer. Regardless of her being drunk, he figured it was probably best he let her respond instead of doing it for her. He didn't want to...intervene or make it seem like he was trying to protect her when he really just didn't want to get caught in the middle and get hit for it. Just go away, Flick thought inwardly, glancing to the man. Please.

The Alphaess

Balverine hunter - Twenty-four years - Greatwood
❧ Right after the commotion, while the man scurried to the door with a slightly noticeable limp, Alphaess had returned to her happy, cheerful self that she had after downing her first drinks. But, this time, she seem to be rather more woozy. She shot down a smile at Flick when he complained about his drink being consumed by the heroine, not saying a single word, but a hiccup. Alphaess leaned back further, shifting her weigh on her legs meanwhile, looking like nothing had happened at all, and all she was doing was sharing a drink or two with a companion. But the silence didn't lasted long, as Alphaess's ears picked a faint sound of the chair screeching. The muscular man got up from the chair, which appeared to be quite tiny in comparison.
❧ Alphaess's smile slightly turned into a grin, crossing her arms over the metal chest plate, while continuing to keep her eyes on the man that approached their table. Alphaess pushed herself away from the table with the help on her hands that were still on the table, palms touching the wooden surface. But, unexpectedly, when she pushed herself away from the table and stood on her feet, she felt quite... dizzy. In order to avoid falling on her face, she took a step to the side and her hand reached out to the first thing she had noticed in front of her, which happened to be the back of the chair that was in use by Flick. Or maybe his shoulder, she wasnt quite sure what she had gripped on to but it saved her from falling down and that was what mattered at that moment. "Why is the earth moving." Alphaess complained in a low tune, not enough for the new man to hear. Than, still holding Flick's shoulder, she stood tall and straight, finally able to get used to the spinning head feeling.
❧ "You want to hear my problem?" Alphaess asked, slightly raising her burrow in a somewhat cold and threatening voice, but, she had burst into a laughter after a matter of moments, loosing the serious look on her face immediately. Her hysteric laughter was only and only cut by a few hiccups. After a short while the Heroine finally managed to stop the laughing, keeping the grin on face for now. "That would... reeeaaally long to tell everything. I hope you... got enough time." Her words were cut by hiccups once more, her head slightly moving backwards, as she was unable to keep it still. The grip of her hand tightened slightly, as she looked back up to the man, having no signs of anger in her voice at all, more like... curiosity. Like a little puppy, she stared back at the man with a bright face.
❧ Her head turned back to the chair Flick was sitting on. "You might want to... listen too... because I doubt I'll tell this again." She grinned, somewhat playfully while she looked down at Flick with brown-gold eyes, but turned her head back to the man. Now, the Heroine was planing to tell what her problem was, by going back to her childhood and telling the story of her life. Meanwhile, ignoring the all signs of threat and anger that the tall and bulky man was giving. She staid cheerful, happy to finally found someone who would listen to her stories, completely forgetting the desire for starting a fight that her beast side ward nagging her about. But of course, Alphaess was far from realising the man wasn't quite interested in listening any kind of story that she might tell.
❧ "First of all, my story goes back a several years, back at Knothole Glade..." Alphaess made a gesture in the air and placed her hand over her chest, pointing at the hero of the story she was about to tell. She appeared to be calm, incredibly calm and her beast like side in control, a complete different person that the one red-haired heroine that showed some drunken man a good life lesson. Also being drunken herself. But, of course, the aggressive side of the heroine wasn't far beneath the surface. Ready to snap out and snap the man's neck afterwards, with the slightest aggressive responds she might get from the man.

Oh, this definitely was not good at all. Flick casually set his hand flat upon the wooden surface of the inn and kept his focus on it whilst Alphaess apparently pushed herself off of the table and got to her feet. She did not seem quite right, however, and actually reached out towards Flick's chair to stabilize herself. Flick winced a bit as her hand brushed by his shoulder and held onto it for balance and even moreso when he heard her complaint. He wasn't sure if it was too wise at that moment to comment, so he kept quiet. If he'd known Alphaess would be so odd when intoxicated, he wouldn't have pushed her to drink. If anything, she was scarier when she was drunk because she was unpredictable. One minute, she was laughing and bubbly and showing off scars and the next moment she was breaking people's legs. Flick switched his gaze to the man as Alphaess addressed him in a threatening manner but that facade immediately faltered when she burst into another bout of laughter.
"I really don't think--" Flick had started to say, but he was interrupted by Alphaess speaking again with a strong and somewhat hysterical grin upon her face. Flick hunched his shoulders slightly and gave up completely. God, he didn't think she'd hear the end of this afterwards so he may as well enjoy the fact that she was acting rather childish and...fun? Then again, Flick didn't really think it would be a wise idea for Alphaess to be provoking a guy who looked like he could crush Flick with ease. The man hardly seemed impressed and, rather, he just looked surprised that this woman hardly seemed angered by his sudden intrusion.
Alphaess had turned to Flick and actually addressed him. Flick frowned and opened his mouth, but eventually decided against it. The man, however, did not seem at all interested as Alphaess had started to launch into her story in a rather drunken manner, even going as far to put a hand over her chest as though informing the two men that the story was about herself. The man folded his arms across his chest and gave the slightest roll of his eyes. The stranger made eye contact briefly with Flick and Flick, with a small shrug, made a 'cup' with his hand so that his little finger and thumb were sticking out and pretended to drink. The man seemed to catch on that Flick was trying to signify Alphaess was drunk and, at last gave a: "I don't have time for this." He abruptly swung about and stomped back to his companions, who were still seated about their table in the back corner. Flick could not help but let out a soft sigh of relief. At the very least, the guy hadn't attacked them. He'd seemed pretty vicious but, thankfully, he'd caught onto the fact that Alphaess wasn't in her right mind.
The innkeeper had finally returned to his stay at the counter and seemed to be agitatedly swiping at his glass with his rag. In Alphaess's state, Flick figured it might be a little difficult to convince her to come back to the house. After all, if they were truly 'guests' here, Flick assumed that it also meant they could at least stay the night. It felt weird that Flick was the one to actually make the decisions here and...wrong. Flick wasn't exactly a sheep or a shepard, but he was kind of the 'rules don't apply to me' but 'don't follow me either' type of guy. So this was definitely not something that Flick was used to. He stood carefully (careful of his leg) and pushed in his chair, which made a screeching noise upon the wooden plank floor. His leg felt a lot better than it had before and he was actually able to put weight on it without making any noise of pain or discomfort. Surprisingly, it seemed almost one hundred percent as it had been before. Flick definitely needed to learn that 'healing' thing. He'd surely be able to use it later on.
"Maybe we need to get you a room..." Flick suggested to Alphaess, his gaze sweeping over her briefly. It seemed as though she could hardly stand on her own without the aid of something supporting her. He glanced back at the innkeeper who seemed to be observing them from a far with an unreadable expression. By his previous actions, however, Flick could assume that the innkeeper was regretting allowing them into the inn--Alphaess most of all. Flick at last turned back to look at Alphaess: "How's that sound, Red?"

The Alphaess
❦ Hєяσιηє σƒ Kησтнσℓє Gℓα∂є ❦
➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳ ➳
Balverine hunter - Twenty-four years - Greatwood
❧ The large man seem to be quite uninterested in whatever nonsense Alphaess was about to babble. When he turned around and left, the Heroine frowned slightly. "That's not nice..." she complained in a murmur. She had little energy to resist the desire for sleep she had. She knew she would pass out sometime soon, at least not being able to feel her legs was giving her this feeling. Alphaess had to get her hands on the table to keep her balance, as Flick had gotten up on his feet. Though her hysterical grin had returned after his suggestion. Well, sleeping in an inn room was probably the best thing she could chose at the moment. At least she would have some rest, especially since she was quite sure she couldn't even make it back to her home without her legs.
❧ "Do me a favour and stand still." Alphaess said, surprisingly not in a dominant or demanding voice, more as a wish, a harmless wish. Yet, again, she didn't even let any time for him to protest either. The Heroine had pushed herself away from the table that she was leaning on to keep her balance. Her one arm quickly went around Flick's neck to avoid having a very close view at the floor. Leaning to him, Alphaess grabbed his right hand with her empty hand, holding it rather tightly, not quite caring if she was hurting him or not. With a quick move, she pulled his hand towards her and placed around her waist to hold her. After placing his arm, her hand went up to his neck, also wrapping it around his neck, again a bit too hard, leaving little space for him to breath properly. Alphaess was all silent with an emotionless face as she did all the actions less than a few seconds, probably a little shocking Flick in the same time.
❧ Letting her tired head slightly fall over his shoulder, Alphaess gave a weak smile. "You better not drop me." Alphaess said silently with a chuckle. She had grown tired already and could barely keep her eyes open. "...because if you do you'll be -hick- dead." She added with another chuckle, than shortly after, her golden eyes were shut close, her grin remaining on her lips as she finally fell unconscious. Her muscles were still tense, allowing her to keep her grip on Flick's neck. As tight as before.
❧ The Heroine was drifting into a deep sleep, despite clinging on to someone's shoulder, also seem to be quite comfortable at where she was, too. Her head had fallen forwards a little, her red hair completely covering her eyes. It was a really weird thing for Alphaess to do, especially if you think that she had almost broken Flick's arm for just placing his arm on her shoulder, and breaking another man's leg for the same 'crime'. Flick was lucky, really lucky she was all drunken. Perhaps Alphaess had somehow trusted Flick, to carry her around, or was simply ignoring her own rules. Probably, Alphaess didn't know the real answer and would never know it either, because in this morning, all she would be remembering would eating a delicious plate of meat and... everything going blank.

Flick glanced over at Alphaess in surprise as she told him to stand still, but she did not give him a chance to ask why or move away for she had stepped up closer to him. Quite suddenly, she'd thrown one arm around his neck and seized his right hand, placing it around her waist. At this point, Flick was extremely confused and a little nervous for some odd reason, especially when she threw her other arm around his neck. It was kind of uncomfortable, especially when he could barely breathe in this position, and yet the weirdest surprise was yet to come. Alphaess's head fell slightly forward and she said something to him that Flick just barely caught, before she had fallen limp with her arms still wound about his neck tightly. Flick stumbled just a little as she did so, barely having time to tighten his own grip to stop the both of them from plummeting to the floor. He glanced around to his right at the innkeeper as best he could manage with Alphaess clinging to him whilst completely unconscious. Flick was not exactly sure what to do at this point. He really was confused, considering her 'no contact' type thing and she was literally leaning up against him with her arms around his neck. Prior to this, she'd nearly snapped his fingers just for putting an arm around her shoulders. God, even while drunk, Alphaess confused the hell out of the conman. Unfortunately there was no time for a sarcastic or pun-ny quip from Flick, for there was no way Alphaess would be able to hear or comprehend it in her state.
But it seemed as though Flick had no choice, and he couldn't exactly stay here with a passed out drunk Heroine clinging to him. Flick gave a ragged sigh (as best he could with limited breathing) and tried to step backwards. Hm, this would be harder than he thought. He had to at least do this up until he got to the innkeeper counter and, from there, the horrid stairs. Just great. Flick paused by the innkeeper's counter, who was looking at him like he'd grown a second head or something. Flick offered his typical grin, but it sort of looked weird when he was facing backwards and with Alphaess slumped against him. "Uhm...hi. Think I could get a room for the night? My companion here, she's uh..." Sick? Drunk? "Tired." Flick decided to say at last. "And she can't walk home like this. Do you mind...?" He inquired, trying to keep up his falsetto confidence. The innkeeper seemed to give in and handed him a small, dark brown metal key that was looped on some string--probably long enough for Flick to put around his neck. Flick tried for another smile at that and managed to put the key over his head while he dealt with Alphaess. From here, he only needed to drag her to the stairs and...crap.
Alphaess wasn't overly heavy persay, but she did seem to be wearing quite a lot of metal and there was no way Flick was taking that off here. Or anywhere. It was just weird and he wasn't one hundred percent sure if she was wearing much underneath...Flick wasn't exactly the strongest guy in the world, either. It wasn't like he could heroically lift her up or anything. Dragging her seemed kinda weird, too. Flick grimaced, seeing as there wasn't many options here for him. Besides, she couldn't be that heavy. How hard could it be? He didn't really think she would remember if he dropped her, but it still seemed kind of wrong to just leave her passed out. Flick managed to detach his grip from her waist and try to put one hand on her lower back, and the other under her legs. Ehr...so far so good? The difficult part was the actual lifting, especially since those other people from the table over were watching Flick and...judging him. It was weird and really unsettling.
Aside from that, these were only a few stairs. Flick could manage...right? Even though it kind of felt like his arms were about to give way. Just...great. This at least had to count to make the pair of them even. Sure, Alphaess had saved him a few times. Cut him down from a Hobbe trap...oh, but carrying another person while they were passed out drunk? This was completely different. Flick had to lean rather heavily on the railing while he made his way up the first five steps. Six more. Why did someone need so much armour, anyway? It was heavy. Alphaess must really be used to it if she wore it everyday. Three more steps. And, at last, when Flick got to the very top he was forced to let go of Alphaess and make it so that, at this point, he was merely dragging her with his arms under hers and her facing out. Sure, it wasn't one hundred percent dignified, but it was effective. Flick finally got to the first door where, at last, he detached one hand from Alphaess and used it to grab the key, rip it off from his neck, and unlock the door. A single push with his shoulder was all it took to jar open the door and, at last, they were in.
The room really consisted of only a single, small bed, a nightstand, and what looked to be a chair for some desk that wasn't there to the right. Once again, just great. Flick managed to pull Alphaess over so that they were just beside the bed and, from there, he managed to half-lift and half-drag her on top of the bed. Breathlessly, Flick pulled back. Okay, it wasn't the 'tuck in' and make her all nice and cozy thing, but maybe that was a stretch too far for now. It wasn't like it was cold or anything...Flick made for the chair to the far end of the room, grabbed it, and swung it around so that the back was facing the bed. There, Flick sat down on it so that he was facing Alphaess with the back of the chair to his chest and his arms crossed over top. Today had really, really been eventful it seemed. Maybe it was just the Hobbe fight, the whole trek to the inn, or dragging Alphaess all the way up here that was making Flick tired, but he was...very tired. Flick couldn't help but glance once more at the unconscious Heroine before resting his chin on his folded arms. Weird...Flick averted his attention from her and at last, closed his eyes. Hopefully she wouldn't remember any of this come morning...

The Alphaess

❧ A sharp jolt of pain had run up from the neck to the back of the sleeping Heroine's head. Swearing and growing silently, Alphaess's eyes lazily blinked open. Ouch. There was a really strong pain in the back of her neck and... her arms and back. It was feeling like someone, literally, dragged her around. The golden eyes stared up at the wooden ceiling for a few seconds, blankly. But there was... something wrong. This ceiling wasn't her treehouse's ceiling. Alphaess's mind was working quite slowly, probably because of all stinging feeling she had in her head. Where was she? And... was she in a bed? Yes, she could feel the soft surface underneath. Feeling rather anxious, her hand went over her chest, relieved to feel the cold metal surface of her armour that still covered her body. Than, Alphaess pushed herself up to sit up on the bed, growling out a few more swears and lastly running a hand in her messy red hair when she was sitting straight on the bed. For a second, she had taken her head in between her two hands, waiting for the pain to go away. Alright, there was only one thing that could have caused that much pain...
❧ A few seconds after, her hands went down to her belt, to check if she had lost anything. Luckily, everything was in place. She still had no idea what had happened last night. All she could remember was... her laughter. She was... really enjoying something. Ah, that couldn't turn out good. The last time she was that happy... well, she could say she wasn't able to return to the village for a year. Her drunken self was a pain in the back! Why someone couldn't control their anger and desire to kill locked up inside? Stupid, stupid, why did you even drunk that damn thing. Alphaess was still scolding herself mentally. But than, her eyes catchef something... Flick? He was here, too? Even better, now he had seen her in her most annoying and mindless self. She was just an animal without her human side to control. A mindless beats. After taking a deep breath, Alphaess finally pulled herself on her feet. Stumbling at first, she was able to keep her balance. Carefully, Alphaess took a few steps towards the man sleeping on the chair. He was sleeping in a quite strange position, but it wasn't her problem. If there had been any trouble, he probably know. Unsure how to wake him up, she stood still in front of him for a few seconds, arms crossed and having a bored expression on face. He might be sleeping innocently, but Alphaess wasn't quite the one to know the meaning of innocent. "Wake up." She snapped, slapping him with the back of her hand, slow for her standards but still pretty hard.
❧ "Hope you really enjoyed 'drunken Alphaess' because I doubt you'll see her again." Alphaess said with a growl, backing away from where he was with an annoyed sigh, keeping her eyes locked on him. One hand went up to her hair and played with the little braid that was still hanging on the back of her hair. After a few seconds have passed, with a sigh she looked around the room, chucking if there was anyone else around. When she was sure no one was listening she came a little closer, unwillingly to whisper something. "Have I done something like..." She paused for a second. "...killed someone?" When her question was asked she quickly backed away a little, averting her gaze from him. "Because, that might be a bit of a problem." She added in a murmur, holding her hands on her back, looking uninterested in the subject.
❧ It wasn't quite her thing to murder one brutally, but when intoxicated... Alphaess couldn't even predict what she might have done or she could have done. If she did killed anyone, she had to get out of the place before all the guards gathering around, or she might had to deal with the Guildmaster. Again. And it was no fun at all. Nope. She was probably having the worst day of her life. She still could feel the world was moving under her feet by a bit, and her head... ouch, it hurt damn too much. And she had no idea what had happened last night. Anything could have happened. Why did she even drunk at the first place? It was something she was going to ask Flick next. She never enjoyed this feeling. She didn't know what she did and had to trust someone to tell her the truth. The first time she had drunken, things haven't gone pretty well either. She was at the Guild, during her apprenticehood. There had been a fight started between a few apprentices, growing into a little battle between almost half of the apprentices and ending with a few of the Guild guards dragging Alphaess away. It was a hard task for them to pull the aggressive little brat kicking and trying to hit them. But the Guildmaster... wasn't quite happy about it.

Flick's sleep had been heavy and undisturbed. He'd not moved positions throughout the night to avoid falling off the chair but, at some point he'd briefly awoken and found himself just blankly staring at the person passed out on the bed. It was sort of strange to see Alphaess sleeping. She seemed different then. Less...animal-like and more like an actual person. It was odd, but as soon as Flick came to the realization that he was staring, he went right back to sleep and slept well into the morning until he was brutally awoken by a cold backhand to the face. Flick shot right up from where he'd been sitting and lurched back unexpectedly. Much to his surprise, Alphaess had awoken before he. Flick frowned and reached up tentatively to touch a hand to his cheek, murmuring a soft: "Owwch...?" He frowned and touched where she'd backhanded him, looking rather hurt. It wasn't like she'd remember him carrying her up here, but Flick at least expected a form of thanks or something better than a slap. But, ah. It wasn't like he'd expected her to hug him or anything. He glanced up at Alphaess with a weak smile: "Morning, Sleeping Beauty."
"Awh, boo." Flick said sarcastically, lowering his hand from his face and crossing his arms across the top of the chair again. "She was quite a lot of fun. Really. I think I might like her better than sober Alphaess," He teased, once again back to his old self after having dealt with the drunken Alphaess the night before. She seemed to be fiddling with her hair and, after a moment, she leaned in to whisper something. Flick frowned slightly. How often had she been drunk before? Killing someone...? God, he hoped that hadn't occurred before when she'd been drunk. Flick considered teasing her for a brief moment, but then decided not to and speak the truth. That would be too cruel. "Not quite. You came close to it, but he's in one piece. Ehr, sort of." Flick added, recalling the broken leg. "I think you scared the innkeeper pretty bad though. I don't think he's going to want us back here for a while. Well, you, I mean. I was completely charming." He added, with a grin.
Now that Flick thought about it, his head hurt quite a lot. He'd drank some too, but not enough to have gotten to Alphaess's level of drunk. He had only been a little tipsy, so it was natural that he'd have a bit of a hangover. Flick grumbled and straightened himself on the chair to run his hands through his dirty blonde hair. It was quite short, so it wasn't like it could get overly tangled but it kind of was a bit shaggier lately due to him not having access to any sort of form of sharp things to cut it with. Flick really didn't actually know the next time he would have access to something like that...then again, it wasn't like Flick really needed to shave. He couldn't do much more than a stubble apparently...depressing as it was, it was quite true.
Finally Flick stood up from his chair and pushed it aside, lifting his arms up and stretching them with a yawn. "Either way, it was an interesting experience. But aside from that, it's probably time to...head back." In truth? Flick liked being able to stay in a place with a real bed instead of a clothes pile for a bed. But he...for some odd reason...was missing something. The rune. It felt weird not to sleep with it under him, which was an odd thing to admit. Not once had Flick dared to draw Alphaess's attention to it. She didn't know, and he wasn't going to tell her...yet. It was his, and he damn well intended to keep it. Oh, but there was that 'protective' and 'defensive' thought again. God, it was just a hunk of rock. Flick needed to get ahold of himself or he'd start acting like the same type of animal Alphaess always seemed to resemble. He glanced at Alphaess and raised a brow: "Shall we?"

The Alphaess

❧ "Next time, remind me to slap you harder." Alphaess growled in response, clearly not amused by his comment nor the new nickname he had given her. Actually, she was now happy that she had slapped him, less guilty to wake him up like that at least. She touched the back of her neck and moved her head slightly in a circular movement. Her neck also had been quite hurt along with her head. Than, she made the same with her shoulders. Her muscles needed action. Exercise. It felt like she had been sleeping for years! She probably had slept way longer than she normally would sleep a night or day. And she wanted some action more than anything right now. Didn't matter what type of action either; anything from chasing down a monster, man or beast to slicing a training dummy into a few pieces. Maybe not necessarily a dummy, but it worked well to get her energy out. Having all the energy a beast may have kinda backfired like this, making her act like a trouble seeking puppy. Good thing she wasn't showing it.
❧ The Heroine gently stroked her hair, trying to keep her hair back in their normal, scruffy look. Upon his comment, she gave another uncomfortable growl and rolled her eyes to him after. "Yeah, if you like purposeless aggression and hysterical laughter, you probably should take me out for drinking more." Her voice was quite serious, meanwhile lacking any signs of an emotion on her face. But of course, she wasn't going to let him make her drink. He had no luck. No luck at all. Okay, maybe watching her embarrass herself was quite funny to watch. The mighty Balverine Slayer not even able to stand on her feet. She was sure he enjoyed seeing her stumbling and bumping into people, if she even did that. Best thing about being drunken was probably not being able to remember how weird and embarssing things you had done. She never liked it, never would like it either. With Flick's reply, she was rather relieved. Her usual grin had finally showed itself on her face. Slightly. "Good, good, I really don't need more trouble with guards anymore." She murmured, staring down at the floor for a few seconds, as she was thinking. Than he mentioned about the innkeeper. She gave a silent sigh (of course not about the whole 'charming' part). Her hands went to check the pouches that were still hung on her black belt. After a few seconds, she detached a small black pouch, containing a small amount of golden coins inside, probably a little more than it would cost to stay in a room for a night. It would be a pity not being able to come here after learning that they had such great food. Or at least she remembered the food was good enough. Maybe it was the effect of the alcohol but anyway... she still had to pay for the damage she might have done. Throwing the bag up and catching it a few times, she grinned slightly at Flick; "Think that would be enough for the troubles, or should I add more?"
❧ A short and refreshing walk had made Alphaess fell quite relaxed, especially after all she had gone through in the past twenty-four hours. It was around noon, and the sun was shining brightly over the leaves covering the sky over them. Alphaess haven't said a single word since they had left the inn behind and started their short walk towards the treehouse owned by the red haired heroine. With her black shawl neatly covering her shoulders, the hood over the red hair and her hand resting over the sheath of her swords, like usual, Alphaess was leading the way. It wasn't a uprising at all, since if she would even let her pride aside and for a change let him lead, he would probably get lost in a matter of minutes anyway. Being in her own little world, her own habitat had given even more confidence to the Heroine. The whole inn thing wasn't even in her mind now. This place was her home, her kingdom and she ruled here. No rules, no one to tell her what to do or not to do.
❧ They finally came to a halt when the rope, the rope that made things even more difficult for Flick was right in front of them. Alphaess had a smile spread across her lips now, finally happy to see something familiar. Briefly looking back at Flick, she grinned. "See you on top. Don't keep me waiting for too long, we still have a training session to attend to." And with her usual move, with a magestic leap, even before Flick could hold the rope, she had landed on the wooden platform. As soon as she was home, she placed her hand on her hips, taking a look around to inspect her surroundings. She liked to see everything in place, untouched. So far, everything was fine. Slowly, letting some time pass to give Flick enough time to climb up, she started walking towards the door. She extended her arm to push the door open, but paused right at the moment she touched the wooden door. Her eyes had caught something. Something strange. A growl canme out from her throat as she let go of the door and kneeled down to pick something up. Holding the object close to her face, she inspected it for a second. It was a blade, but not one of hers. She had seen that before.
❧ Gritting her teeth with rage, her eyes went on something else. On the forest floor. Someone had been here and tried to touch her belongings. Not nice nor acceptable. With another raged growl, she held the blade tightly in her hand. So, her opponent wasn't dead? There was no doubt that this blade belonged to Sabre. How could this even end up here? Alphaess looked back quickly and moved back towards the place she and came from. Raising on had in the air and making a gesture she snapped at Flick: "Stay here, whatever you do, do not fallow me." he better listen, because this was something she had to deal with. She grabbed the rope and pulled it up the platform to cut access to the platform from the forest floor. Shooting one last glare back, Alphaess let herself down with a slight leap. Normally, it would break bones to jump down from that height, but if it was Alphaess, it wouldn't even hurt. When reached the forest floor, the Heroine bolted off in one direction, as she was on a track and quickly got out of view.
