Mani's ears flicked back slightly. "It doesn't matter now."

[hypnowave]

"Fine," Castor said, to Harry's disappointment. He'd wanted to hear more arguing.

[wolf ;;]

Mani said nothing after that, and fell silent.

[hypnowave]

After that, Harry tried to sleep again, seeing as nothing seemed to be happening anymore. Meanwhile, Castor shifted in his spot uncomfortably. So many things had gone by that just made him feel... exhausted, both physically and mentally. Not to mention Esther was now absent.

[ sighs i guess we better move on a few pages and finally get up to speed? ill be replying periodically but still ]

Mani gave a slight sigh, closing her eyes briefly before rubbing her face slightly with her hands. So many things had gone on...

Harry twitched his ears, he couldn't seem to sleep anymore with what had went on. Hardly caring if Castor would tell him to get back to sleep, he stood up and quickly made his way outside. He really badly needed to clear his head.

Castor did nothing about it, but was pretty sure he saw Seven following the younger wolf.

Mani glanced up and opened her eyes as she saw Harry leave, and her ears flicked slightly. Would things go back to normal...probably not.

[pff]

While Seven watched Harry behind his back, Castor remained inside the cottage, hugging himself and thinking of how badly things had gone. And Veritas was still a threat, one he couldn't afford to underestimate. Right now, though, he felt like his main concern had to be finding a way to get his team away from falling apart like it seemed it would.

[wolf ;;]

Mani then lied down, feeling fairly tired, but she stayed awake for the sake of it, thinking. Everything seemed to be silent, even though it was only her and Castor, and she let the silence run for a while before she spoke out loud. "Do you think things will ever get back to normal?"

[hypnowave]

"What does normal mean anymore?" Castor asked her, looking down at his hands as he spoke, thinking about the question as well. To him, for the past century, 'normal' simply meant cooping himself up in his meager cottage and looking for travelers foolish enough to hurt themselves. That sort of normal felt like it was a whole lifetime ago to him.
