Mani was glad for the silence, but soon, her mind could take no more thinking, no more thoughts. It felt as if he head was going to explode with all it held. She sighed softly, before she opened her eyes. She should break the silence, or at least try. After all, not all of her thoughts were about Castor - most of them where, but some were not. "I managed to find out what the weapon the other universe has." She said, quietly. "...But I messed up, before the barrier around the universe had gotten broken, Sol found out why I was there, I told him." She was ashamed of herself, and now those thoughts covered all her ones about Castor. She didn't mean to let Sol know, it had been an accident, and she tried to show that through her voice - it was her fault the plan had failed, why Castor had gotten injured from Sol. All of it was her fault. She was to blame.

Since he was so deep in thought, Castor barely heard Mani as she spoke, but he managed to understand what she was meaning to say. He sighed and listened to her as she spoke of Sol, the wolf both he and Seven despised. Just because of what she said, Castor could understand the weight that was now resting on her shoulders; she felt like this was her fault, or worse. He wanted to make her feel better, but what comfort could he offer? He knew how flat and biased 'It's not your fault' would sound like, so he instead said nothing.

Mani paused for another moment before she continued. "He just go me so...angry. I was sick and tired of him telling me what to do...I didn't mean to tell him, it slipped out, and he looked so angry, he had already been in a bad mood." She said softly. "...he was so angry he decided it was the best time to get rid of wolves no longer needed, the ones with no memories. He went around and finished them off...they had no idea how to defend themselves, and no one could stop him - he had other helping him." She made sure he took all that in before speaking again. "...he killed her...our own mother...saying she was useless and that he had never cared for her anyway...he killed her and it was all my fault." She could feel...something...gathering up in her eyes, but she squeezed them shut. No, she wasn't weak, she couldn't be, not now.

Castor though for a while, then cited a quote that he had said once when he was in the village. He only remembered pieces, fragments of a poem written on that despised letter, but one full phrase came forth either way. "He who fears none is foolish, he is a fool among the heroes, and he who knows fear and learns to control it will be the savior. He knows his inner demons, and he masters the ones who try to enslave him." He sighed. He didn't like speaking this much anymore. "Alas, Sol is not one of those who know which demons are his enemies. Instead he listens as they feed him with their lies... he is wrong to have murdered those who fell victim to him." Then he fell quiet for a moment, gathering his wits. "But you are about to hear your own demons speak. Listen to their words but do not heed them. They will only lead you astray." Goodness, his throat felt strained. He knew who had once told this to him: his old mentor, the wolf who had taught him the art of healing. The advice he was giving Mani now was he advice he had received when Seven had passed away. Back then he turned a deaf ear to the words, but now... he decided to make use of the advice.

Mani listened to Castor, and she flicked a ear, silent. She thought about what he said, and she kept it tucked away in her mind somewhere, where she could go back to it when she needed to. The wolf then sighed, before getting up, her tail twitching. "We should head back." She said quietly, and she blinked her eyes. Sol would change back to normal...she'd make sure of it, or she'd make it so he couldn't hurt anyone anymore.

Castor nodded. Although his heart and mind still felt unsettled and even more befuddled than before, he still began to walk up the path behind her. His tail dragged on the ground, so that some of his white paint stained the grass. The fact that he could be killing his own resources didn't matter as he lumbered back to the cottage while trying to piece his thoughts together.

[should we do that idea i said before about the whole castor crashing into mani and both of them on the ground thing? and them nearly accidentally/or actually/doing the thing and they both get flustered? eve]

Mani walked up the path, staring mostly at the ground and keeping silent since she had suggested that they went back. That strange feeling was back again, and she just wished that it would go away and leave her alone.

Castor watched as Harry got up and jogged off, maybe eager to get some fresh air, free of the weight Castor and Mani carried on their backs. Once the fox's white tail tip disappeared, Castor directed his view to the ground, when was also the exact time he tripped over a rock. Not able to catch himself in time, he crashed into Mani -- just a foot away from a slope that led deeper into the forest, where a clearing he rarely went to was.

Mani was startled as she was crashed into, and before she knew it she was falling - right were a slope was. Not wanting to fall, she tried to grab onto something - which unluckily happened to be Castor. So now that she was falling, no matter what she'd be dragging him down with her if he liked it or not. So no matter what they'd both be rolling down the slope. How fun.

Castor didn't force Mani off him as they tumbled down the slope. The grass cushioned them as they rolled, and luckily Castor managed to tuck in his wings, hence no injuries. He himself eventually decided to hold on to Mani, which was either his worst or best decision since leaving the village. He braced himself and clenched his teeth, awaiting the fall. They landed at the clearing with Castor pinning her down in a daze.
