The warm fire was relaxing. It sure took the stress out of being caught. Daylight started to rip through the dark fabric of the sky and he let out a soft groan,"I guess we must be parting ways. I am usually at the office before Elizabeth, and I actually need some rest. Until next time, Peter." He held out his hand

"Alright. Don't be late next time," Peter said and shook his hand.

Elizabeth walked into the office. She didn't get much sleep [if you know what i mean honhonhon]. SHe yawned and sat down in her chair after greeting Alex.

Alexandre looked over to Elizabeth and smiled softly. He always made sure to grab coffee for the both of them; she would definitely need it today. He slid the other cup towards her. "Good morning, Elizabeth."

"Thank you, Alex," Elizabeth smiled. She took a sip of the coffee and looked through her desk. She frowned.

Alexandre watched her drink her coffee. Her finger sparkled as the light hit the object on her finger. "What's that you've got there?" He asked with curiosity, a frown plastering his face.

"This?" Elizabeth looked at the engagement ring. It sparkled with a diamond in the center,"Just a ring."

A scoff left his lips and her repeated her words,"Just a ring? I'm sure it's something more than that." Alexandre wouldn't let himself get angry until he knew what it actually was. A feeling in his gut however told him he wasn't going to like it.

Elizabeth frowned at Alex,"If you're so curious, it's an engagement ring."
