This is a small group roleplay centred around 6 siblings and their parents who don't give them enough attention: the Lee Family. Two of the siblings, Michael and Jared Lee, are my OCs from a different roleplay (Institute for Problematic Youth), except that here they are younger. This is their youth: it takes place in the year 2000. The other four siblings and their parents are characters that I made up some things about: in other words, they are half-finished characters. If you play these characters, some things about them (such as parts of their looks, personality and relations with their siblings and parents) will therefore already be determined: you can fill the rest in yourself (hobbies, more elements to their looks and personality, etcetera). For now, only play one or two main characters per person. If any are left over, I will probably end up playing them.
You can also create minor characters. These you can make up entirely by yourself, but since the roleplay is centered around the Lee family, they will not be present in the story all the time. For example, if you make a girl in Chelsea and Jared's class, you can interact with other characters (such as Chelsea and Jared) when your character is in class, or when she is playing with Chelsea after school, but if she is at her house without any other character there, she will have to stay far away in the background until the next time she can interact with the others. I'm calling them minor characters because they won't always be in view, since the roleplay is more focussed on the Lee family: this doesn't mean they will be unimportant. While some minor characters may stay more on the background, others may become more important for the roleplay: it all depends on what's going to happen. You can make as many minor characters as you want.
Main rules:
-Follow Tess's rules.
-Don't powerplay, godmod, etc.
-Try not to make characters perfect, boring or all the same.
-When romance is involved, stick to innocent fluff, or fade to black if necessary.
-Don't have a relation with (or crush on) your own characters.
-Be nice to each other in OOC.

-Post character forms in the form thread and most discussion in the discussion thread.
-Don't go more than 2 pages without me.
-Tell me if you are quitting the roleplay.
Special rules for this roleplay (about plot and characters):
-If possible (so if you can), play one of the main characters: it will help include everyone.
-Respect what I made up about the main characters (Don't make Lucy suddenly hate Chelsea, for example: she can find her cute, or just sweet, or funny, or find her annoying but love her anyway - that is entirely up to the person who plays her - but you can't change that they are close to each other. Another example: don't make the parents suddenly give their children enough attention.).
-Respect the future, especially concerning Michael and Jared: Jared is going to become a criminal and a bully when he's a teenagers, and is going to be put in the Institute for Problematic Youth. When they're both adults, Michael will be more cheerful, Jared will still be a bully, they will both end up as teachers at the Institute, and they will be single.
-See above: Michael can get a girlfriend or boyfriend, but if so, they will have to break up, because Michael is single as an adult.
-Respect people's age: Jared and Chelsea can not get a serious boyfriend or girlfriend, because they are only seven years old! For Chelsea (not Jared, because he isn't one bit interested in romance at this age), it is still possible for her to have a "boyfriend" of her own age, however this will be a typical elementary school relation: holding hands and kissing on the cheek.
-This roleplay takes place in the year 2000, so NO-ONE has a smartphone, tablet, waveboard etcetera: they do not exist. Rulers of countries are different as well. Feel free to have your character watch TV, since that does exist.
-Don't have any of your (or anyone else's) roleplay characters die. I don't like when people die in roleplays, sorry.
-Don't make the roleplay too depressing. Drama/fights/bullying/breaking the law/having a sad past can all happen, but there should also be happy moments and funny parts.
-Magic and humanoids exist in this roleplay, but will not play a large role. No-one in the Lee family has magic or is a humanoid, but if you want, you can make a minor character who is a yeti/witch/troll/mutant/werewolf/vampire/etcetera. Be reasonable, though, and don't make all your characters magical: we don't want everyone outside the Lee family to suddenly have powers. Also, don't make someone (almost) invincible, of whatever species they are.
Other information:
Activity: You don't have to be super active (I'm not either). Disappearing for two weeks because you're busy is fine. But please don't disappear for a month or more without telling me where you're going.
Literacy: I tend to be semi-literate, and it would be great if you were too, but it is not required, as long as you write something people can reply to and don't write 1-2 lines every time you post.
Spelling and grammar: I don't get mad if you have bad spelling or grammar: you can't help it if you're dyslexic, non-native English speaker or just another human making a mistake. Do try to do your best, and try to keep it so that people are able to read it. Pretty much the same goes for typos, but don't make a lot of them.
Connection to the Institute for Problematic Youth roleplay: The two roleplays are related, but you don't have to know the one to join the other.

Unlike Peter, it doesn't bother him that Jared and Lucy are so quiet, and their silence makes him sometimes assume they behave (unless it is clear they're not behaving), so it is quite possible that he would blame something Jared did on Danny. As for Theresa, they used to be happy together, but due to their huge differences in personality and their busy lifestyles, they've been growing apart. (You can decide whether he's still in love with her and hopes to get closer to her again, or whether he's not interested in love anymore, or has found (or will soon find) someone else.)

The same goes for old age, in a way: she doesn't want to realise that she's an adult and she wants to act young forever. She doesn't like being alone and wants to have company all the time. She cares a lot about other people, and will gladly help or support them, but she doesn't always understand how to do that and where the limits are. For example, she could give a poor person fifty dollars and a piece of cake and think that all the person's problems are now solved, or, the other extreme, she could give someone all kinds of "help" when they don't need any. She usually likes people when she first meets them, unless they aren't nice to her, and she's quick to think people are her friends. Family relations: Of her husband and children, she gets along best with Chelsea and Michael. She has a hard time giving all of them attention, because she has a busy social life and also because Danny and Chelsea need a lot of attention and that makes it harder to give attention to the others as well: she usually ends up giving Chelsea the most attention, since she is one of the ones she gets along best and also one of the ones who need the most attention. She gets along least well with Peter, Jared and her husband: she doesn't dislike them, but she has a hard time understanding them. She and her husband have slowly grown apart because of their opposite personalities. Personality: He likes to talk and be cheerful, but his being around Danny all the time can make this hard, since Danny is so loud, goofy and talkative that it's hard for Michael to get enough time to talk as much as he'd like to, so he's not as talkative as he would want to be. Personality: Jared is very quiet, quite calm and hard to read, which makes some adults think he's well-behaved, but he's usually thinking about quite sinister things. He's interested in creepy/spooky stuff, criminality, and seeing people suffer. When the Lee family is sitting at the table and most of the others are talking, he usually just sits and watches them, or watches something completely different in his thoughts, and then suddenly, when everyone has forgotten about him, he'll make some weird comment like "What would happen if I put Chelsea's doll in the microwave?". He may also do actual experiments like this, which could get him into trouble. In the future, he will come in contact with a gang of older guys, and they will do illegal things together (like stealing, vandalism, joyriding and beating people up), which is how he will eventually be sent to the Institute for Problematic Youth (that is when he's a teen, so that won't happen in this roleplay). He would never admit it, but he secretly does want attention, though he would sooner look for it in other people than his family.
Family relations: He dislikes most of his family. He hates Chelsea most of all: she is his archenemy. He hates her because she's girly, a goody-goody and demands all the attention. He hates even more that lots of adults love her and think she's cute, and what he hates the very most about her is that she sucks up to adults and tattles on people.
