(Lol X3 I don't celebrate it traditionally, but yeah. I enjoyed myself because I wasn't forced to go to church this time

)
Mayia lowered her head slightly at the look that Syn gave her, feeling like that smile was more like just a way to deceive her into feeling better. It only made her worry more. If it was so serious that he had to look at her that way, then she couldn't help but feel like something was very wrong. Syn had soon stood up, and delivered the line that finally calmed her nerves to know what it was that worried him so. "If that's all… then we could go help. I might not be able to fight well, but I'm good with barriers. I bet you have a useful skill, too." Mayia said, putting on a smile of her own that was put there just because she felt that she was finally being trusted. She slung her legs over the edge of the bed, smiling lightly at him in hopes that he would answer her with enthusiasm.
Before she could get her answer, though, Mio came inside, telling them of a plan to find a fortune teller. She had caught word that the fortune teller of Barak had left that village because of the poor business. The one of Jhoru disappeared over a year ago… Looking over to Syn, she told him this and cast her gaze towards the door again. "The only place they can find a fortune teller around here is the demon up the cliff… He's a really frightening guy, though…" Mayia said lowly, wondering if they should tell them. Mayia wasn't one to speak much in front of people she was uncomfortable with. She couldn't bring herself to stand up and go to Mio in order to give her this information. Mayia was well informed, as silent as she was. She knew a lot of the area here, as did Knight and Skye.

Hunter nodded to Mio before he started off towards Barak. Knight spoke up before they could leave, though. With the clearing of his throat, Knight said, "Didn't that old bat leave Barak already? Even the teller from Jhoru vanished around twenty years ago. The villagers stopped relying on those old ladies years before you guys were born. I thought at least Hunter would know about that." Hunter hadn't been aware of the Barak's fortune teller having left her post, but of course, he knew that Jhoru was vacant right now. Most of those villagers had died by now, the few that still lived hiding in the village itself or in the cave Skye had directed them too a few days prior.
